After breakfast, Radis returned to her room and changed into comfortable clothes. She also brought a sword.
Although it wasn’t a manasteel sword, it was a new sword made of high-quality steel that she got recently.
Helping her change, Melody tilted her head to the side.
“Lady Radis, why aren’t you using the black one? Come to think of it, where is that sword?”
Radis glanced at the closet where she had shoved Reggia in.
“It’s over there. I won’t be using it for a while.”
Radis looked at her reflection in the mirror, brushing up her hair with her fingers and tied it up into a neat, short ponytail.
After that, she put on her riding coat, which fluttered along with her movement.
Melody was mesmerized by the sight.
“Lady Radis, you’re so so so cool today…”
Normally, Radis would have blushed at Melody’s words, but her mind was currently full of thoughts on how best she could protect Olivier.
Looking back at Melody with a light smile, she said,
“I’ll be back.”
After Radis went out, Melody let out a happy sigh with her hands over her chest.
“Today’s sustenance is great too…”
While thinking about the unexpected benefits she’s getting from this job of hers, Melody tidied up the dress that Radis had changed out of and organized the closet.
Then, a long figure came into her view as she was about to close the closet door.
It was the black sword that was mentioned just now.
“Goodness, Lady Radis. You really put this here?”
Shaking her head a little, Melody pulled the sword out of its dark corner.
It was clean now because its rust had been wiped off, but it was really so unfortunate looking before when the rust was still on.
Melody couldn’t bear to think that such an object was being kept in Radis’s closet.
“You go over here.”
The sword was ominously dark and unnecessarily heavy.
Melody groaned as she moved the sword to the storage room further in and behind the space for dresses.
“W-Why is this thing so heavy?! Is a sword supposed to be this heavy!”
Sweating profusely, Melody did her best to drag the sword away.
Originally, she wanted to place the sword at one corner, but with her limited strength, she could only move it until the entrance of the storage room.
Roughly throwing the sword just beyond the threshold, Melody then closed the storage room’s door shut.

When Olivier said that he wanted to go on a walk, Joel immediately wanted to attach about five knights to the prince, if possible.
However, Olivier refused.
“They’ll be in the way.”
Looking at the faint expression on the prince’s face, Joel could surmise exactly what kind of interruption he meant by that.
So, Joel had no other choice but to settle for two knights, who would be following the pair some ways away.
While raising a saddle personally, Joel glanced eagerly at the entrance of the stable.
‘I’ll see with my own eyes just how devilish of a beauty this woman is that my master has been successfully beguiled.’
After a while, one of the marquisate’s knights appeared.
Although the knight’s physique was small, their movements were sharp and efficient—like a freshly sharpened blade.
‘Ohooo.’
Joel examined the knight.
‘I heard that the knights of the South are somewhat inferior to the knights of the North, but this particular one is quite on par with even the knights of the Imperial Guard. Look at that sharp, keen atmosphere.’
Then, the knight approached Olivier and asked,
“Your Highness, are you ready?”
Olivier smiled faintly as he looked at the knight.
“Yes.”
And the moment Joel saw Olivier’s smile, he realized.
“Huh?”
Joel once again looked at the knight, up and down.
The knight mounted the horse in one, fluid motion.
It was so elegant to the point that Joel wanted to use it as an example for other people to try and emulate.
The knight’s face was much too delicate and much too beautiful for a man.
Radis spoke again.
“Then, we’ll be off.”
Joel, left all alone like that, stared dazedly with his mouth wide open.
“Huuuh…?”

As the wisps of early springtime had come to the forest, the greenery had become thick and full of vitality.
The ground was soft, and amidst the bushes came the gentle rustling of leaves and the songs of the little birds.
“The greenery of the South is beautiful.”
Urging his white horse forward to a leisurely gait, Olivier went down along the path at the edge of the forest.
“The land near Elarion has been mostly reclaimed or used as farmland. It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen such a dense forest.”
He turned his head and took in his surroundings.
Beneath his hat with an exquisite feather ornament, his loosely tied long hair fluttered in the wind.
As it cascaded beneath the brilliant daytime light, his silver hair shone mysteriously golden sun.
Mesmerized by his appearance, Radis murmured.
“Pretty…”
At her words, Olivier looked back and smiled.
“Yes, the morning sun is so dazzlingly beautiful.”
But Radis thought to herself,
Your smile is even more blinding than the morning sun.
Leaving the narrow forest path, they entered a vast meadow, and a low hill appeared.
