I Grabbed the Tyrant’s Heart - Chapter 159
The Duchess is no different. She’s an elf, so it’s natural for her to find me uncomfortable, but she sees me as just another human being, a living, breathing presence.
Is Euseniel’s calm demeanor due to her mother’s influence? Nevertheless, the Duke is quite expressive.
“I won’t give up, Duke. If the Duke keeps preventing me from meeting Euseniel, I’ll find a way.”
I chuckled at the Duke’s openly furrowed face.
“Here you go, the approval documents.”
“Oh, you’ve processed them quickly. If you can do it this fast, why didn’t you do it earlier?”
The Duke admired genuinely.
“You look tired, so close your eyes. If you think I’m going to meet Euseniel, you can sleep here.”
“A very kind suggestion, Your Majesty.”
His tone conveyed that he didn’t expect me to go to such lengths.
“If you’re unwell, Euseniel might be upset.”
Whenever the family is mentioned, Euseniel’s mood softens. She avoids discussing family matters in front of me, but her emotions are still evident.
The Duke smiled wryly.
“Oh my, that’s cheating.”
“What do you mean?”
“Because I know that if I torment Your Majesty, Euel will be sad.”
“Umm, Euseniel might not be too upset.”
“What are you talking about, Your Majesty?”
The Duke seemed resigned as he shook his head. Then he took something from his arms. It was a letter.
“This, what… No, how can I give it to you now?”
It was a letter from Euseniel.
“It came to me, so why did the Duke intercept it?”
“Well, I didn’t want to show it to Your Majesty.”
“How did you intercept it?”
“The messenger who delivered it is one of our family’s errand runners. If I ask for it, he can’t give it to you.”
The Duke stood up and bid me farewell.
“Rest, Your Majesty.”
As soon as he left, I opened the letter. The contents were simple.
— Were you eating well?
I laughed. I headed straight to Euseniel’s room.
“Tess?”
Euseniel wasn’t surprised when she saw me suddenly appearing in the early morning. She was sitting at a small table beside the bed, reading a book.
Feeling sad for her, who was covered up to her neck in her nightgown, I approached her.
“Euseniel.”
I lowered my head and nibbled on her pomegranate-like lips. Her lips parted, welcoming me. I couldn’t stop for a while as I savored the taste of the drink I hadn’t tasted in days that I couldn’t take my mouth off it in a while.
“I missed you, Euseniel.”
“Okay.”
Her answer was still brief, but that alone made me happy.
Because Euseniel’s ears were turning red. Euseniel, who always remained unresponsive and composed was now bashful!
“Euseniel.”
From under the plain nightgown, I grabbed her chest without hesitation. My hand squeezed the overflowing flesh that her lips parted.
“No, Tess.”
Her rejection was resolute.
Euseniel then took my hand and led me to the bed. She laid me down and covered me with a blanket, pulling it up to my chin.
“Sleep.”
“Let’s do it, Euseniel. Huh?”
“Tell me after seeing your face.”
Euseniel let out a light sigh.
“You really look tired. Have you been getting proper sleep during this time?”
She asked while stroking the wrinkles on my face.
“Once you gain weight, and the darkness under your eyes fades, then we’ll do it.”
I attempted to beg her, but her soft lips swallowed mine again.
Ah.
The kiss that Euseniel gave first is overly sweet. Her palm, which caresses my cheek, is firm but tender, as if it could melt.
I exhaled a sigh of excitement.
Euseniel, unable to catch her breath properly, brushed my disheveled hair and whispered affectionately.
“I’ll wake you up when the sun rises.”
“Lie down too, Euseniel.”
Her emerald-green eyes filled with suspicion, so I tilted my head.
“I’ll just hold you. Okay?”
She hesitated for a moment, then lay down beside me. I embraced her delicate waist and spoke softly.
“You see, Euseniel.”
“Huh?”
“Right now, even if we can’t show it openly because the Duke and Duchess oppose it, you will marry me soon, won’t you? You’ll become the Empress, right?”
“What are you talking about, Tess?”
Euseniel widened her eyes as if hearing this for the first time, and I found her adorable, making me want to kiss her.
“That’s a talk from when you didn’t run away from me.”
Suddenly, my body turned cold.
“I guess you forgot that I’m still a bit angry, Tess.”
“Eu, Euseniel.”
“In front of others, we’re nothing more than strangers. If anyone, including our parents, even suspects that something is going on between us, it’s over. Do you understand?”
Euseniel spoke with a wide smile, and it was truly terrifying. I buried my face in her ample chest, pretending not to hear anything. I was afraid that she would tell me to get off right away.
Euseniel was an expert at picking me up and putting me down.
I wanted to proudly announce to the world that Euseniel was my lover, but I couldn’t. It was disappointing.
I wanted to cry in disappointment, but I held back the tears, knowing that Euseniel would dislike it. Just crying a few days ago had been enough.
Soon, her hand began to stroke my neck.
“It tickles.”
The sensation of her fingers caressing my neck was so tantalizing and gentle that it made me smile.
I smelled the soft scent coming from underneath the nightgown and her body stiffened, and I wanted to tear off the suffocating cloth that seemed to be itching. To resist this impulse, I looked Euseniel in the eyes.
“Can’t I come to see you?”
“Depends on you.”
Euseniel really look like she weill come from time to time.
“If I eat well and work hard, you’ll come, right? I might not be able to sleep well, but I’ll do my best.”
