When the Villainess Died, the Male Lead Went Crazy - Chapter 133.2
“Would it be possible to restore it if we request it from the Magic Tower Master? Should we make the request?”
“…Do it right away.”
“Is it enough to restore this?”
Lillith headed to the top floor of the Magic Tower, where Tower Master Lionel resided.
“Since you did this, you should fix it.”
Anais’s diary had been enchanted. It had been set on fire by magic, and the aftermath had been meticulously handled to ensure it could not be restored.
With such perfect skill, there was only one person in the entire capital who could do this.
“How did you know?”
“Do I look like a fool?”
Tower Master Lionel was quite familiar with Anais. Lillith knew that the foolish expression he made when looking at her was actually his way of scheming to target her divine power. Wizards often sought to experiment with the divine powers of a saint.
However, the power of magic was something that the gods did not acknowledge.
“If you succeed in restoring it, what will you do for me?”
“I will save Lady Anais. Then your contribution will be acknowledged.”
“Do you know what that means?”
Lillith knew that the words of Goddess Julias and the words of the Tower Master were slightly different, but she believed they weren’t entirely wrong. Giving new life to something that had no life.
“Yes.”
Lillith understood the scheme that the Tower Master had. Goddess Julias despised wizards, and the one she most loathed was undoubtedly the Tower Master at the top of their hierarchy.
They worshiped the World Tree, which was the source of magical power, not the gods.
“Don’t you need something to help grow the World Tree?”
“Do you know what that material is?”
“Humans. And divine power.”
Lillith couldn’t be unaware. The reason the Goddess of Life expressed such hostility was too obvious. The Magic Tower always acted noble, but in reality, they nourished the World Tree through war, by spilling blood, and using the life taken as the price for its growth. The large World Tree that grew from this process became the great power that protected the Magic Tower.
“When did you know?”
“Well. Do I really have to say?”
“No.”
When he reached out to Lillith, she glared at him for a moment, then took his hand.
“Then I look forward to working with you, Saint.”
And thus, it began.

It took quite a while for the diary to be restored. Even the Tower Master, despite his position, took time to unravel the complex magic that had been placed on it. Before taking it to Kylian, Lillith checked the contents herself.
February 8th, 1518, Cypnos Empire
Lillith’s pursuit had been concluded, and I was waiting for the right moment.
The Count cleverly hid Lillith, so it took three years.
I hope it’s not too late to find her.
February 9th, 1518, Cypnos Empire
The shock of killing the son of the Count who had kidnapped her was so overwhelming that Lillith was filled with fear.
If I had known it would turn out like this, I would have at least covered her head with a cloak.
Without thinking, my anger took over, and I reached for my sword. I had promised myself I wouldn’t do this.
But now, I’ll try to find the life that was lost because of me.
I hope she doesn’t hate me.
Lillith ripped out the page from the diary where she was mentioned. She had restored the diary with the hope that Kylian would regain his senses, but as she read, her longing for Anais made her eyes burn with tears.
As she tore the page, the tears fell freely.
She spoke softly to herself.
“Everything is as the will of Goddess Julias.”
Lillith didn’t bother wiping away her tears as she took the diary to Kylian.

She felt uneasy about deceiving the out-of-his-mind Kylian with the idea that Anais could be brought back to life. But if she followed the Goddess’s will, everything would be over. After countless reincarnations, they would meet again someday.
“I will protect you, Lillith.”
Anais had loved wisteria. After she left, Lillith had felt empty. She made her way to the palace where Kylian had once stayed.
The wisteria was marked with an X. Lillith knew that this mark was a habit of Anais’s whenever she was hiding or marking something. As she traced the symbol with her hand, the emotions she had suppressed for so long spilled out.
“I hope you and Kylian are happy.”
“What about me?”
Lillith felt a heavy pressure in her chest, as if it was suffocating her.
“I’m not happy, what should I do?”
She laughed bitterly. If she could prevent her own destruction, she believed that, eventually, Kylian and Anais would meet again. If they still held such strong emotions, they would be drawn to each other again in their next life.
But she will remain eternally asleep.
In the cruel order created by the Goddess Julias, like a foreign object, she would fade away.
Forever, with nothing. Just until she vanishes.
“I won’t.”
For the first time, Lillith decided to defy the will of Goddess Julias.
Instead of reincarnating Anais, she had made up her mind to bring her back to this life.
“I won’t. Not anymore.”
She clenched her fist tightly, her nails digging into her palm, the blood trickling down her fingers.
