Time-Limited Saintess, You've Been Caught by the Tyrant Once Again - Chapter 94
Chapter 47.2
It was because of those priests’ failure to treat his sister’s illness properly that she ended up like this. And on top of that, after doing such a terrible thing to Ellin…
Wait.
Arkan paused, feeling a bit confused. Why was he so angry? In truth, as Marquis Kasmin had said, Liliana had endured enough humiliation already.
He glanced over at Ellin. Dressed in pure white, she was still gazing at him with an unfriendly gaze.
He couldn’t bear it.
Before he realized it, he parted his lips.
“There’s no reason it can’t be allowed.”
“….”
“But Charlotte, you’ll ride in the carriage with the Saintess.”
“B-Brother!”
“You need to learn to be on your own sometimes. That way, you’ll grow more, don’t you think?”
At Arkan’s gentle words, Charlotte bit her lip, her tearful eyes brimming with resentment.
Just as Liliana and the other priests relaxed slightly at his firm statement, Arkan smiled and added, “In return, this brother will follow right behind you.”
“…Hmph.”
“With Lady Ellin.”
Ellin’s eyes widened in surprise at his words, and the priests looked equally shocked. Riding in the carriage alongside the Emperor? And she wasn’t even the empress or a consort?
At that moment, Harald stepped in.
“Don’t worry, Charlotte. I’ll be following along, too!”
Charlotte stuck out her lower lip.
“I don’t like you, Brother!”
“Charlooot!”
Harald clutched his chest dramatically, looking as if he’d just been heartbroken.
“If Ellin rides behind, wouldn’t that make you feel better, too?”
Charlotte glanced between Ellin and Arkan, then suddenly smiled brightly as though she had come up with a great idea.
“Yes, good!”

The door of the hastily arranged royal carriage swung open. Unlike the open-top carriages, this one was an enclosed, typical carriage.
Ellin let out a sigh.
In the end, she still had to ride in the carriage… but did she really have to go? However, with Charlotte standing there, making sure she got in, Ellin sighed again and stepped forward.
“Ellin.”
When Arkan called her name, she turned to look at him.
He extended his hand toward her.
“Take my hand.”
“….”
She didn’t want to take his hand. Ellin hesitated for a moment before speaking cautiously.
“Your Majesty, how could someone like me, a mere nanny, take your hand?”
At her words, Arkan’s eyebrows furrowed slightly.
“Do what you want. I’ll do what I want, too.”
Without waiting for her response, he swiftly took her hand and placed his other hand on her waist.
As his hands held her waist, she flinched. Even as she lost her grip on the carriage and her full weight shifted onto him, Arkan lifted her into the carriage.
“Your—!”
As Arkan jumped into the carriage without a second thought, Ellin blinked in surprise.
The door shut, and the carriage took off right away.
She shot a glare at Arkan, narrowing her eyes, then turned her head to look out the window.
Thuuk, thuuuk.
The steady rumble of the wheels rolling was the only sound filling the carriage. Neither Arkan nor Ellin spoke.
After a moment, she cautiously turned her head to peek outside. She was worried about Liliana and Charlotte, but everyone outside the palace seemed to be cheering without any issues. As they reached the plaza, the carriage slowed down.
Just then, she spotted Erich through the window.
Her eyes widened.
He was staring right at her, his face twisted in a sorrowful expression. Without thinking, Ellin leaned closer to the window.
Something about it struck her as a little strange.
Why was he making that expression? Why was he looking at her like that?
Ellin pondered as she gazed at Erich. He knew about the existence of ‘Elena.’ But since when had he known? If the prophecy had been made and the Saintess was absent, could he have guessed that Ellin, who had left the village, might be the Saintess?
It didn’t make sense.
When Liliana was suspected of being a fake Saintess, why hadn’t he considered her to be the real one? He could have checked the sigil.
“….”
At first, she was filled with feelings of betrayal, but now only questions lingered in her mind. If Erich had known she was the true Saintess, he wouldn’t have simply left her alone.
So then, why?
“Do you know someone?”
Ellin turned her head to see Arkan watching her. Oh, she had almost forgotten he was in the carriage with her.
He glanced out the window, then shifted his gaze back to her.
An uncomfortable silence settled between them as he brushed back his black hair and let out a heavy sigh. For a moment, it felt as if time had frozen. The sunlight streaming through the window illuminated him, making him appear younger than she remembered.
He was undeniably handsome, though most wouldn’t notice as his gaze held such a wild ferocity. With a statuesque face, he often lowered his gaze and wore a languid, disinterested expression that could seem almost sensual.
As Ellin watched him tousle his hair, she swallowed.
At that moment, Arkan reached out his hand, straightening up as he placed one hand on the backrest of her chair and the other on her shoulder.
Was he about to get angry because she’d looked at Erich? Or perhaps…
Their faces were drawing closer.
‘…What’s happening? Is he going to kiss me?’
She remembered their last kiss, her eyes filling with confusion.
Arkan opened his mouth.
“Are you still really angry?”
