Time-Limited Saintess, You've Been Caught by the Tyrant Once Again - Chapter 93
Chapter 47.1
Ellin didn’t realize that Arkan was angry because of her. She simply assumed he had chosen her as a tool to humiliate Liliana. It didn’t feel good to be used this way, but then again, that was just like Arkan. She was still angry with him, and he hadn’t properly apologized.
“Ellin! Over here!”
If it weren’t for Charlotte, she would have left right then. However, seeing the little girl’s bright smile directed at her, she walked over. The child’s mind was still fragile, and Ellin worried about what might happen if the child, who was terrified of Liliana, ended up causing an incident.
Despite her feelings toward Arkan, she held no resentment toward Charlotte. Whenever she looked into the child’s blinking red eyes, she felt alive and genuinely grateful for her power.
Charlotte was someone precious to her.
Soon, the baptism ceremony began.
Ellin watched as Liliana recited a prayer and placed her hand on Charlotte’s head. Although Charlotte flinched at first, when she held her hand, the child calmed and accepted Liliana’s touch.
“May the blessing of the gods be with you.”
Charlotte had turned twelve and was safely celebrating her birthday.
As she thought of this, Ellin carefully bestowed her blessing upon Charlotte, her hand gently touching the child. A soft glow soon radiated from the princess’s body.
Charlotte looked up at her and let out a joyful laugh.
Seeing this, Liliana’s expression hardened.
‘Humiliating.’
There was nothing more humiliating than this. How could a lowly commoner she had once trampled upon now stand beside her, drawing attention as if she were her equal?
Because of this, Liliana didn’t even notice the faint glow emanating from Charlotte.
Charlotte felt a warm energy gently seeping into her. Normally, she knew she should’ve held the saintess’s hand and expressed gratitude for the blessing. She knew she was supposed to thank the person who had pushed her, but her body moved on its own.
She looked up at the woman she now loved most and beamed.
“Thank you, Saintess.”
The words slipped out before she realized it, and murmurs spread through the crowd. Ellin’s eyes widened in surprise as well before a gentle smile appeared on her face.
“Your Highness, the Princess, you should be looking forward when you speak.”
At her gentle prompt, Charlotte grinned and turned to face Liliana.
“Thank you, Saintess.”
The Saintess, Liliana, began to tremble uncontrollably, her face paling. It was clear she was filled with anger.
“I apologize, Saintess. It seems Her Highness is still young and has made a mistake.”
The unbearable humiliation made Liliana glare at Ellin with a chilling look as if she wanted to tear her apart. But soon, aware of the eyes on her, she softened her expression and forced a bright smile.
“Of course, it’s only natural for a young princess to make such a mistake.”
Though her smile was composed, her eyes remained cold and threatening. Ellin understood the humiliation Liliana was feeling. Still, she held her calm smile.
She didn’t want to be intimidated anymore.

The grand carriage had been prepared by the temple.
The spokes of the wheels were engraved with symbols representing divine light, and the carriage itself was adorned with embossed patterns of radiance. The open carriage, without a roof, was arranged for passengers to sit in a single row.
The blindfolded white horses flicked their tails.
Liliana took Maynard’s hand and boarded the carriage, leaving Charlotte next in line to get on.
“Ellin!”
Noticing that Ellin hadn’t joined her right away, Charlotte looked at her with unease.
“Your Highness, you need to stay with the Saintess now, not with me.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Your Highness.”
“No, no! I’m scared!”
Charlotte wasn’t like a typical twelve-year-old. Because of this, she began to cry and fuss like a young child. Arkan watched the scene unfold quietly while Harald, who had arrived late, crossed his arms and let out a small grunt.
“I’m scared. I said I’m scared!”
Charlotte’s tears streamed down her cheeks, and as Ellin glanced around helplessly, Maynard, who was standing nearby, spoke up.
“Saintess, it seems Ellin should stay by her side.”
“What are you implying? If the three of us ride in the carriage together, how will people know who the Saintess is?”
“….”
“I can accept many things, but having Her Highness the Princess’s nanny join every single procession? This makes no sense. How could the Saintess and a nanny possibly be seen as equals?”
Liliana’s long-suppressed frustration spilled over.
Meanwhile, Charlotte was still sobbing.
Ellin glanced at Arkan, who was approaching with a faintly conflicted expression. He awkwardly extended his hand toward the crying child.
“Charlotte.”
At his words, Charlotte looked up and moved toward him. He wrapped his arms around his little sister.
The nobles gathered in the baptismal hall murmured among themselves.
This was a stark contrast to the cruel and ruthless image Arkan had shown throughout his reign. In this official setting, he looked more like a protective older brother, comforting his crying sister.
Wasn’t the Emperor supposed to be a descendant of demons?
A faint ripple of surprise passed through the crowd as he gently stroked Charlotte’s hair.
“I cannot yield on this matter!”
Liliana decided to abandon her gentle and compliant demeanor. She stared at Ellin with an expression of utter disdain.
“Brother, can’t?”
Charlotte asked, her voice choked with tears. Arkan turned his gaze to Liliana.
Are you really going to be so openly opposed?
