I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 5
Chapter 5
Following Zion’s suggestion to start with self-introductions, we began with a brief introduction.
The first person to speak was Rose.
“I’m Rose Liverton. Isn’t that enough? I don’t think there’s anyone in the Empire who doesn’t know the Liverton family.” Rose introduced herself in a haughty tone, making it hard to believe that she had been crying just moments ago.
“If it’s Liverton… You mean that famous merchant family?”
“That’s right.”
The Livertons were the most influential merchant family in the Empire, controlling a large portion of trade. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that most of the trade activities went through the Liverton family.
“To meet the esteemed Lady Liverton, what an honor.”
Rose turned to face Zion.
“You seem like a noble heir yourself, judging by your demeanor.”
“Oh, I’m not as impressive as Lady Rose,” Zion replied with a light chuckle. “My name is Zion Ragnon.” Following the game setting where he conceals his noble status, he introduces himself as the third son of an unknown Viscount.
After Zion finished his introduction, Tommy spoke up bluntly, “I’m Tommy. I don’t have a surname.”
“Tommy, are you… a commoner then?”
“Yeah, so what? Is there a problem?”
“No, I didn’t mean it was a problem.”
Even with Tommy’s confrontational tone, Zion calmly laughed it off. Then, his gaze turned toward me.
“Now, the last lady. Could you please tell us your name?”
[“I am… Heyna Blaise.”]
“I am… Heyna Blaise.”
“Blaise…”
A faint crease formed between Zion’s eyebrows. It seemed like there was something bothering him.
‘Why is he reacting like that? Did he not like my introduction?’
For a moment, his calm expression wavered, but Zion quickly smiled and greeted me.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I got lost in my thoughts for a moment. Nice to meet you, Lady Heyna.”
Despite his sudden change in attitude, I couldn’t help but feel a bit uneasy. However, I decided to let it go for now.
Asking him about what he was thinking wouldn’t be polite, after all.

After a brief introduction, we decided to explore the inside of the mansion.
“Do we really have to wander around here?”
Tommy seemed reluctant.
“If we explore, we might find a way out.”
Rose nodded eagerly in response to Zion’s hopeful words, her cheeks turning slightly red.
“Yes, maybe. Why are you so negative about everything?”
“Well, I don’t really want to hear that from a kid who was just whining about their family a moment ago.”
“What? Are you for real…! If you don’t want to go, you can stay here, scaredy-cat.”
“Who’s the scaredy-cat? Fine. You two can wander around forever!”
Only a few minutes passed, yet Tommy and Rose were on the verge of another fight.
‘Both of them are characters I created, but they really irritate me.’
It was about time for my line to come in.
Just as I thought about it, the dialogue window appeared.
[“Um, instead of that… wouldn’t it be safer if we stick together…?”]
“Um, instead of that… wouldn’t it be safer if we stick together…?”
“Yes, Tommy. If something happens when you’re alone, what will you do?”
At mine and Zion’s persuasion, Tommy eventually agreed to stay together.
“Ugh, fine. Let’s go, then. We’ll be alright if we keep moving,” Tommy said grouchily “So, where are we going?”
In response to Tommy’s skeptical question, Zion, who was contemplating, replied, “For now, shall we go towards the dining room?”
The dining room.
It was the place where the characters encountered the protagonist, the ‘player’, for the first time.

“Easy mode is for those who are not good at horror games or beginners trying it for the first time, while hard mode is for enthusiasts.”
“But still, it’s better to make the early stages a bit easier for both modes, right?”
“If it’s hard mode yet it’s easy, that won’t be good, so we should include some elements of fear.”
Recalling my conversation with Im Ha-yeon, I fervently wished deep inside.
‘Please let the game mode be set to easy mode.’
Unfortunately, the game was set to hard mode. When I tried to change the settings…
[“The difficulty level once set cannot be changed until the game is finished.”]
‘Darn it.’
Even hardcore horror game enthusiasts rated LMM in hard mode as a five-star horror experience.
What am I supposed to do now?
“It’s so dark in this mansion.”
Even though it was daytime, the corridors of the haunted mansion were pitch black. Rose looked around anxiously, as if something would jump out at any moment. I tightly held Rose’s hand, feeling a sense of unease about the unknown that could happen at any moment.
[Decreasing mental state by 1.]
In the midst of this, my mental state decreased again.
‘This is driving me crazy, seriously.’
I’m left with only 7 points of mental state. If something jumps out at me…
‘I might faint again.’
As soon as I had that thought, I noticed something faintly shimmering at the far end of the corridor.
“W-What’s that?”
Rose froze in place.
