I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
The Clarence Mansion.
The mansion serves as the background for the story. Clarence was the wealthiest tycoon in the Empire.
The mansion where people used to live was originally a place where glamorous parties were held day and night. However, Clarence’s wealth did not last long. After a series of events, his family fell apart, and the mansion was abandoned for hundreds of years. Now, it emits a gloomy atmosphere to the extent that it is called a haunted mansion…
Why did this mansion remain neglected without passing into the hands of other nobles until people left because of Clarence?
“If it’s the Clarence Mansion… Could it be! The haunted mansion?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“Why am I in a place like this…? Who are you all?” Once again, I recited the predetermined lines.
‘Ugh. I can’t get used to this.’
I had to keep mumbling in a timid voice with these long lines!
Just thinking about it makes me frustrated.
“We don’t really know either. When we opened our eyes, we were here. We don’t remember what we were doing before. Do you have any memories?”
“No… I don’t remember either.” At least this answer was sincere.
‘It’s strange. I don’t remember what I was doing before entering this game.’
“I see.”
Zion nodded with a hardened face.
“Oh, you too? Me too.”
“Me too,” Rose and Tommy said simultaneously in response to my words.
“I can’t remember what I was doing before coming here. I remember going to the dressing room with my mother the day before yesterday, but…”
“Me neither. The only thing certain is that none of the four of us remember our recent memories, and we’re trapped here,” Zion said.
Rose, with a pale face, asked in a shocked voice, “What are you talking about? Trapped? Weren’t you the one who found a way out and came back?”
Zion shook his head. “The door leading out of the mansion was locked. The windows are all boarded up.”
“That… that can’t be true.”
Rose slumped down and muttered with a trembling voice, “So we can’t get out of here…?”
Offering a hopeful answer to Rose, Zion said, “No, not necessarily. If we search, we might find another way to escape. We haven’t explored the entire mansion yet.”
“Really?”
Just when Rose seemed to calm down a bit, Zion added one more thing.
“But we have to be careful. This place is known as the infamous haunted mansion, so we don’t know when or where something might pop out.”
Why did he have to say unnecessary things like that? He really had a cursed mouth. Rose’s face, which had been awkwardly smiling with hope, contorted. And…
“N-No… I don’t want to… Mom, Dad, Roseliaaa, sob, sniff.”
The self-assuredness she had been directing at Tommy vanished, and she began sobbing uncontrollably.
“Hey, quiet down! You’re being too noisy.”
“Both of you, calm down.”
Beside Tommy, who was shouting, Zion comforted Rose.
‘Who is she crying for?’
Amidst all this, my mental state dropped by another two.
Once when Zion said that the door leading out of the mansion was locked, and once when Rose started crying. It seems like this ‘mental state’ is not my own, but Heyna’s mental strength.
Even if I don’t suffer any mental impact, Heyna, who is a character in the game, seems to lose her mental state in situations that would be shocking to her.
‘I think I read a post that listed how many times Heyna faints in the game…’
I can’t remember the exact number, but I think it said she faints more than 10 times per chapter.
‘This is driving me crazy, seriously.’
Just the thought of being carried around unconscious all the time made my head throb.
