At the northernmost point of the Southern Empire lies Bald Castle, which serves the same purpose as Fort Prete. The Southern Empire’s forces have gathered there now.

To use the mirror, the destination written in the ancient language must be infused with magical power, making a wizard essential.

Based on the current situation, our plan is as follows:

– One mirror will be taken to Bald Castle, across the Senne River where the Southern Empire’s forces are concentrated, and we will lay in ambush.

Then we wait for the Southern Empire’s forces to invade our territory. While pretending to fight them off, we will launch an attack on Bald Castle. Our army and the monsters will launch coordinated attacks with a time delay.

– The other mirror will send soldiers to Glia, where we will cause disruption.

The inconvenient part of this mirror is that while it’s possible to travel to a destination, returning requires a mirror at the location you arrived at.

While Bald Castle can be a simple place to hide after arrival, Glia presents a problem.

“In the case of Glia, we don’t know where you’ll end up, and even returning is a problem since everyone must gather at a location with a mirror.”

“Hmm, I’ll go to that place.”

I volunteered by raising my hand.

I’d take the mirror and travel to the imperial palace in Glia through the water.

There’s a famous lake there called the ‘Shining Spring,’ and I would be heading toward it.

Having moved between different dimensions before, I couldn’t fail in the same world.

“Euseniel.”

As soon as I heard Tess’s voice calling my name, I knew what he was about to say.

“The Emperor stays here.”

“Euseniel!”

When Tess raised his voice, everyone immediately quieted and glanced around cautiously.

“Tess.”

Finally, I called his name and held his hand. Despite flinching, he didn’t pull away, and it soon calmed down.

“I should go, right? Who else would?”

“I’m here too.”

“The Emperor invading is different from a mere Duke’s daughter invading, it’s a different matter. Even in wartime, that’s the reality.”

Tess closed his mouth tightly.

“If the Southern Empire citizens hold hostility toward the Northern Empire, that’s a problem in itself. And it’s better for the one who’s already done it to go.”

“We could go together. It’s the Southern Empire, Euseniel. And I’ve thought of a better way than just taking the mirror.”

I sighed deeply looking at Tess who looked quite deflated but not willing to back down. I couldn’t show my frustration in front of everyone, so I took a deep breath.

“Tess.”

“I can disguise myself and go.”

“Huh?”

“Just don’t let anyone recognize me. If our army doesn’t get recognized as Northern Empire forces, we’ll be fine.”

Tess smiled like he had found the solution.

“Wouldn’t that work?”

My lover, who had the look of someone who wouldn’t give up, had a smirk on his face. He was definitely not backing down.

“Ah, fine. Fine.”

I slammed my hands down on the table.

“Let’s go. Let’s go to Glia.”

“What kind of appearance will you take, Euseniel?”

“And what will you look like?”

“Hmm, how about blonde hair and blue eyes?”

“I’ll do that too.”

To prevent the magic from possibly wearing off halfway, I created a magical item. I made a tool to sustain the illusion magic and wore it around my neck.

I also carefully placed Tess’s heart inside my clothing.

“Tess, you…”

Tess, who was under the illusion magic, had blonde hair and blue eyes. It suited him, but it felt strange. If he hadn’t changed his appearance, would he have grown up like this?

“How is it?”

“Honestly, I like your original look more. Black hair and black eyes.”

“You said you would love me no matter what I looked like, yet Euseniel, you really do care about appearances.”

“I’m not saying I don’t like it, it’s just my taste.”

Tess’s smile was still the same, but he looked a little too bright.

Give me back the Tess that gives me chills!

“Tess, do you like my current appearance?”

“No. I prefer the black hair and leaf-colored eyes.”

Tess answered firmly.

“Then why do you criticize me only? You said you didn’t care about looks.”

“Even so, there’s still a sparkle in your eyes.”

Tess quickly changed the subject and handed me a mirror to help me see my face. I pretended not to notice and looked into the mirror.

“Uhh…”

The person in the mirror looked unfamiliar. The gold leaf-like specks that wandered in my eyes seemed hard to hide with this magic.

“I need to be careful. Someone might recognize me.”

“I don’t mind if they do.”

Tess gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and took the mirror away.

We were ready to leave at any time, and soon after, the Southern Empire’s large-scale attack began.

“Winter is a vulnerable season for us, but it’s also a weak point for them. They might have plenty of supplies, but they’ll have trouble adapting to the climate here.”

General Panet explained.

For the people of the Northern Empire, who live in cold regions, the weather in Holen and the border areas might seem warm, but it will feel cold to the Southern Empire’s soldiers.

“So, they probably want to end the war before winter comes.”

“The easiest way to end the war is for them to give up, but it seems the Southern Emperor doesn’t realize that.”

I added sarcastically, causing General Panet to chuckle.

“Which means he’s a fool. He doesn’t even notice the ground beneath him is shaking, charging like a moth to the flame.”

He then looked at me with a cold, serious expression and nodded lightly.

“Please, take care of the operation.”

“I will.”

I said, looking at Tess who was standing beside me.

“What will we do if the Southern Emperor appears?”

“Hmm…”

“See, Tessvalun? You stay here.”

Tess’s face twisted.
