I Grabbed the Tyrant’s Heart - Chapter 254
As Tess said, I do have a healthy soul, but I wonder if it was also thanks to the mirror Ruby gave me that I wasn’t swept up in the strange temptations of the Prince or the Emperor of the Southern Empire.
Because I have Ruby’s mirror with me everytime.
“There are stories about mirrors that are as mystical as a sword, you know.”
This time, it was about a tribe from long ago, where whoever could pull a sword embedded in the ground would become the leader of the tribe.
There were also brief mentions of other mystical items like necklaces and shields.
“It seems that the mineral’s properties depend on how it’s processed… In the fairy realm, I suppose it’ll depend on how much information I can gather.”
“Haha, it would be great if the fairy king could help.”
I still wonder if Calisis’s spell, asking for all my requests to be granted, remains active.
“By the way, Weathering, would it be alright if I carried you?”
“…Huh?”
“To Guana Mountain.”
“Ah… Aahh.”
“Or, you could carry me.”
Weathering pushed his glasses up and rubbed his temples. He sighed deeply.
“Guana Mountain isn’t an ordinary mountain, it’ll be difficult for you to climb. Your internal injuries aren’t fully healed, right?”
“…As long as I can walk to where the knights can see me?”
“Weathering, I didn’t know you’d be so sensitive about these things?”
“I’m not the only one, most people would be like that…”
He trailed off, seemingly in complicated feelings.
Tess would probably like it. ‘If we go like this, everyone will know that we’re special!’ then he’d probably blush.
…Tess is the odd case, right?
Once Weathering put his glasses back on, he mumbled that even if his body was fine, he would still have trouble climbing a unique mountain like Guana Mountain.
“The location has changed.”
“What?”
“The structure has changed from last time.”
It was as if the mountain, which changes its paths every time you enter, had shifted since I was here last. I had entered through the same entrance as before, but everything was different now.
“It’ll take a full week to climb.”
“Aahh, you mentioned that. It’s not how much we walk, but the time that matters.”
“Yes. So it takes quite a bit of time.”
Even if I quicken the pace, we wouldn’t get there any faster.
“I think carrying you would be more comfortable than just holding you.”
Fortunately, there were no monsters here, so I didn’t need to draw my sword.
When I picked up Weathering, he tensed up in nervousness.
“Relax. Don’t tire yourself out before we even get there.”
Even though Weathering never fully relaxed, I carried him up for an entire week and climbed until we reached the emerald-colored lake.
“Weathering, hold on tight. If you fall, you might not be able to enter.”
I pricked my palm with a dagger and dropped a drop of blood into the lake. Just like last time, a giant splash erupted, and it began to rush toward me.
“Weathering!”
Since Weathering’s grip was still weak from not being fully healed, and was too faint, I grabbed his arm.
The fierce waves swept us both away, and when I opened my eyes again, I saw the familiar cave.
“Ha, haha.”
Although we were clearly deep in the forest, as soon as we moved into the cave, Weathering looked around in disbelief and let out a nervous laugh.
“Haha, hahaha.”
“Don’t marvel here, let’s go inside.”
“Is it okay to go without an invitation?”
“Would you not go to your own house just because you weren’t invited?”
Since my blood is the key, it’s not entirely wrong.
We stepped out of the cave and walked along a familiar path when a fairy greeted us.
“Oh!”
“Hello, Didiel. It’s been a while.”
When I asked the familiar fairy where the king was, she pointed toward a large tree with her finger.
“If you go straight over there, you should be able to meet her.”
“Thank you.”
We found the king, who was gazing at something near the tree.
“Hello, it’s been a while.”
“So, you’ve come again. And this time, you’ve brought a guest?”
Weathering opened his eyes wide and looked at the fairy king, and I tapped him lightly.
“Weathering, go on, greet her.”
“Hahaha, it’s fine. The reaction of humans seeing me for the first time is always like this. So, what brings you here this time?”
“We’ve come to see the mirror. Is that possible? This person will join me.”
“Go ahead.”
The fairy king readily granted our request, and we moved to where the mirror was.
After facing the mirror, Weathering pulled out some mysterious items from his bag. He then began inspecting the mirror intently.
The fairy king was unconcerned with how humans might use the mirror and walked off in another direction, and I followed her to take care of my own business.
“What business do you have with me?”
“How can one kill someone who is blessed by god?”
“Haha, hahaha! Hahahaha!”
The fairy king burst into laughter, and it didn’t stop for a while.
“You are truly strange!”
The fairy king laughed with a shrug and laughed again.
“Killing someone blessed by god is both difficult and not difficult at all.”
She threw a cryptic statement.
“Long before we even existed, there is the god who predated us. They are so old that we don’t even know their names.”
It seems the god have an even deeper origin than Lux or demons.
“You can kill them with something made by god.”
“Where can I find it?”
“I don’t know either.”
The fairy king responded nonchalantly.
“Though I have heard rumors that it’s somewhere in this world. Of course, there are many things made by god, so I can’t say exactly what kind of thing might be here.”
It was unclear whether she was giving a hint or not.
“Do you happen to know where the sword is?”
The fairy king simply smiled.
It was a strangely familiar yet unsettling feeling.
“Is it made of gold?”
She smiled again.
Ah, I see. It’s a situation where she wants to tell me but can’t.
“Thank you for letting me know.”
After thanking the fairy king, I left.
This was enough of a hint.
The sword is in this world.
