For several days, Leila stayed at my house, showing no signs of leaving. The Leila from Viscount Cernia family was gone, replaced by a younger sister who loved her older sister dearly.

I sipped the black tea Mary handed me. The warm tea seemed to calm my mind and body.

“Why did she come here?”
