The pure sunlight was blinding.
It was morning.
Though she knew she had to get up, Sera felt too languid and didn’t want to open her eyes.
Desperately wishing for ‘just five more minutes’, she burrowed deeper into the soft, cozy blanket.
Pulling the blanket over her head, she twisted and turned to find a comfortable position. After a few twists, she found that lying on her right side was the most comfortable and tried to pull the pillow closer.
Until her fingertips brushed against warm skin and a firm chest.
‘Who?’
Startled by the presence of someone else in the bed, Sera opened her eyes wide.
Helios, sleeping peacefully, came into her view.
‘Oh, right. We got married.’
She recalled the grand wedding they had a few days ago and that they had started their honeymoon yesterday.
Sera quietly gazed at her husband. No matter how much she looked, calling him handsome seemed insufficient—his face was ethereally stunning.
‘We’re really married now.’
Thinking even his breathing was beautiful, Sera gently touched Helios’s hair.
He didn’t stir, deep in sleep.
“Heli.”
Sera called him softly, moving closer to him.
Helios, still lost in his dreams, didn’t react to her presence.
Realizing he wouldn’t wake easily, Sera grew bolder.
She pressed his soft cheek a few times and ran her fingers over his tender lips.
Despite her actions, Helios remained unresponsive.
Growing even bolder, Sera let her fingers wander past his deer-like long neck to his collarbone.
Lightly tickling him, she finally saw his body flinch.
“Se… ra?”
With a drawling sigh, Helios’s voice resonated low in her ear.
It had started as a playful attempt to wake him, but the thought of being caught made her heart race.
Startled, Sera quickly withdrew her hand and pretended to be asleep.
How much time passed, she didn’t know.
Thinking he would wake up soon, she still heard his steady breathing beside her.
Was he still asleep? As Sera barely opened her eyes, she was startled.
Helios, who had been lying next to her, was suddenly on top of her.
The gaze looking down at her was chilling. His gentle smile made it clear he knew exactly what she had been doing.
Realizing it was too late to pretend to sleep, Sera awkwardly broke the silence.
“G…Good morning.”
“Good morning indeed.”
Smiling, he echoed her greeting.
Sera blinked, feeling embarrassed, and looked away. The memory of the night before made her position feel awkward.
But it was a mistake—her view was filled with his bare chest. Her face flushed with heat.
“Y-You’re heavy. Heli. Please move.”
Sera tapped his firm arm. However, he showed no sign of moving.
“What should I do? I don’t want to move.”
“What?”
“I feel like my wife had a reason for waking up early. Her touch….”
Helios whispered to her.
Hearing his playful suggestion with a cheeky grin, Sera’s eyes widened. Her face turned as red as a tomato.
“Goodness, Heli.”
Sera covered her mouth with both hands. It was morning, and she never imagined Helios would say such things with such an innocent-looking face.
Reading the turmoil on her face, Helios began to tempt her again.
Tickling the nape of her neck, he whispered in a low voice.
“It’s snowing heavily outside, so it’s very cold. Just like you said yesterday, we can’t go anywhere. So…”
Helios didn’t stop his seduction.
Sera, overwhelmed by Helios’s affection, couldn’t do anything but be swept along.

Eventually, it was only late in the afternoon that Sera managed to leave the room.
The reason she looked so pouty as Helios wrapped her in a cape and scarf was clear.
“Are you still angry?”
“Yes! Very angry.”
“Sera, I’m really sorry.”
“Heli, how could you…! I was really…”
Sera started to say many things but met his eyes and let out a long, resigned sigh.
She knew Helios was watching her carefully, but seeing him look so dejected was too much. It was not a look appropriate for the supreme monarch of the empire, and certainly not desirable.
She had to forgive him.
“Please take my stamina into consideration next time. Don’t just rely on divine power.”
“Yes, I’ll be sure to remember.”
Helios nodded as he put gloves on her hands.
Once dressed, Sera and Helios decided to explore the palace before sunset.
