Becoming the Villain’s Family - Chapter 258
Chapter 258
“Wouldn’t it be better to hear that story from someone else?”
Sabina said with a faint smile.
“At that time, I wasn’t in my right mind. My memories are fragmented here and there. There’s not much I can say.”
“Then from whom?”
“Since there’s no one who can read someone else’s heart, there’s no one else but oneself, right?”
From Lloyd?
“But…”
It had only been a day since she told him not to meet until she calmed down. Seeing Aria looking uncomfortable, Sabina chuckled.
“Well, it must have felt like hell for that guy even just for a day…”
It’s not like it’s separation anxiety or anything. It just felt like hell just because they haven’t seen each other for a day.
Aria grumbled inside, but in truth, she also really wanted to see Lloyd.
She just wanted him to be next to her.
She wanted to touch him, to hold him close.
She wanted to kiss him…
Aria let out a silent sigh and stopped her train of thought.
“It’s getting late. Should we get some rest for now?”
“Oh, my.”
Sabina clicked her tongue briefly.
She had a sad face for a moment and closed her eyes. Then held Aria in her arms as if that never happened.
“Young, Young Madam.”
“Ung?”
Aria raised her head with a puzzled face at the sudden call, then was taken aback.
The one who called her was a Black Falcon, but his face was filled with color.
“What’s with your face?”
“Ah, this is… nothing important.”
“Nothing important?”
When Aria poked his side, the knight, who was only wearing a thin uniform, grimaced and swallowed a groan.
“It seems like you have an internal njury too.”
She cut him off before the Black Falcon could speak.
“Perfect timing. I was actually on my way to the doctor. Let’s go together.”
“Hee? How could I dare get treatment from Madam’s personal doctor…”
She pondered for a moment and clapped her hands.
“It seems like your leg is injured as well. It’s better to get proper treatment while you can bear it. Once it’s broken, it’s irreversible.”
“….”
“You should treasure your assets.”
Aria patted his shoulder encouragingly and turned around and continued on her way.
She didn’t have any intention to force him.
But not long after, the Black Falcon sighed and followed her.
“Saying to treasure my body. It doesn’t seem like something Young Madam would say.”
The Black Falcon arrogantly reprimanded Aria.
However, she was confident in knowing how to value others’ bodies even if hers was treated roughly.
“Is that all you have to say?”
When the Black Falcon hesitated for a moment while following her, he was about to make a confession.
“Young Madam, actually…”
And then his voice was abruptly cut off.
Even his footsteps.
“Huh?”
Actually what?
Aria stopped walking and looked back.
There was no one there.
As if they never existed in the first place.
‘Well, maybe something urgent came up, and he had to go back.’
She felt a bit suspicious, but that was the only plausible explanation she could think of.
‘But if he went back, I should have heard his footsteps.’
A human couldn’t escape a Siren’s sensitive hearing.
‘A ghost… Nah, no way.’
She shook her head at the fleeting thought.
An eerie feeling washed over her.
Aria stood frozen for a moment with a pale face, then hastened her steps and ran to the doctor’s office.
A whole week had passed just like that. Much longer than even Aria had expected.
“Aria.”
In the midst of that seemingly endless standoff, it was surprisingly Tristan who first showed signs of reaching his patience limit.
“How long do you plan to occupy my bed?”
He gripped her head with his large hand. it wasn’t painful or threatening, but Aria couldn’t help the cold sweat that broke out.
His silver eyes bore into her, intensifying the gravity of the situation.
“Hehe.”
Aria awkwardly chuckled, feeling a chilling shiver down her spine.
After barging into the loving couple’s bedroom for a whole week, she couldn’t really argue with his complaints.
“I thought it was cute.”
Perhaps it was indeed cute, he released his grip and gently stroked Aria’s head.
“Because I enjoy hearing stories about Mother every night.”
“Is it the story you mentioned before?”
He murmured with a faint frown. It appeared as if he was recalling the time when Aria openly criticized him, saying, ‘You lived a reckless life in your youth.’
“Father, do you remember Mother during the wedding?”
“It was so long ago.”
Tristan vividly recalled an event that had happened more than 20 years ago.
‘Mother couldn’t remember.’
Aria smiled, suppressing the thought she had.
Unlike Sabina, Tristan’s memories seemed incredibly vivid.
In that case…
“What about the time when Mother was ill? Before I arrived.”
“Now you want to hear it from me?”
“Yes.”
“You couldn’t ask because she didn’t want to talk about it, right?”
That was true.
But perhaps it would be better than going to ask Lloyd directly…
‘In fact, it might be okay to meet him now.’
Upon seeing his face, it didn’t seem like she would blurt out everything or nag endlessly.
But…
‘It’s gotten awkward.’
Having avoided the topic for so long, she was now pondering how to approach him naturally.
Aria had always been the one-sided, direct one when it came to Lloyd.
The whole situation felt unfamiliar, and she didn’t know how to handle it.
“Hmm.”
Tristan briefly stroked his chin, tilting his head before suddenly staring fixedly behind Aria.
“Since transferring my strength to Lloyd, I’ve become somewhat weaker.”
