It all started as a rivalry between their families.
Zenon Trantium was a rebellious noble who made it his daily mission to wound her pride.
Then came one summer day, when they were both young and inexperienced.
“Have you ever kissed someone? Oh, but you’re far too noble for anyone to get that close without you freaking out, huh?”
“I’ve kissed someone before. Want me to show you?”
What began as a battle of pride from his provocation quickly turned into first love.
It didn’t take long for Emeline to realize it had all been a joke to him, and she erased him from her heart.
Or at least, she tried to.
“Long time no see, Lady Delzeor.”
He reappeared just after hearing the news of Emeline’s engagement.
“Do you really hate me that much? Why do I get the feeling that’s a lie?”
The man who had abandoned her now stood before her, looking like he was the one who had been left behind.
Emeline’s first love began to intrude on her life once again.
He had once showered her with affection at his whim, but this time, he was determined to sabotage her engagement.
“Lady Delzeor, we may still be enemies tied by our families… but let’s get one thing straight.”
We are no longer the children we were that summer.
