Chapter 31.2
The training ground was at the back of the mansion, past the garden. The sunlight of approaching summer was intense and scorching.
Leilia, who was holding a parasol, saw Cassel, who was using the training ground with others. He wielded a sword given by her and the sword made by the famous craftsman Rocheval. He was sparring with the knights on the ground. Although it looked dangerous to spar with real swords, he was using the sword lightly while observing the swordsmanship of his subordinates.
“Madam has arrived.”
At the words of his subordinates, Cassel stopped his sword and turned his gaze to Leilia. His crimson eyes softened.
“What brings you here?”
Hearing his words, her heart settled once again. The events that had happened before vanished, and a calmness settled in. Being with him made the tumultuous thoughts disappear.
“I received a tea time invitation from the imperial family. So, I’m planning to go meet Uncle Natale.”
“Please wait a moment.”
After saying so, he called out to his subordinates.
“That’s it for today’s training.”
“Wow, we’re alive!”
“Thank you, Madam!”
Cassel’s subordinates seemed happy that he was preparing to go with Leilia. They dropped to the floor at the mention of the end of the training.
“We’ll do more next time.”
Everyone shouted at Cassel’s words.
“Your Highness, you need to increase the intensity slowly.”
“We want to live, too!”
Despite their cries, Cassel didn’t respond and approached Leilia.
“What are you going to choose when you go to Lord Natale’s house?”
“Since there’s tea time at the imperial palace tomorrow, I’m going to choose a dress and accessories to wear there.”
Cassel’s eyes sparkled at Leilia’s words.
“May I accompany you and take a look?”
“Of course.”
Cassel knew her identity and had kept it a secret, so she thought it would be okay to take him to the treasure trove.
Hearing Leilia’s words, he walked slightly next to her.
When he didn’t hold her hand as usual, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of emptiness as she clenched her hand into a fist and then opened it.
“My hands are dirty, so even though I want to hold yours, I can’t.”
Cassel opened his mouth regretfully.
While he was washing and getting ready, Leilia recalled teatime.
〈 It’s impressive to have come this far. 〉
〈 What do you think of coming to me when you’re about to become the wife of a soon-to-die prince? 〉
The words they had said
“…I can’t go there looking pitifully.”
Raelia muttered to herself.
Despite the fact that their words didn’t hurt her, she still wanted to dress properly since it was with her husband. At the thought, she tucked her long brown hair behind her ears when she saw Cassel coming out of the room before she quickly approached him.
This time, he firmly held her hand.

Entering Natale’s underground warehouse, Cassel let out a gasp of admiration. Beautiful dresses were lined up, along with accessories and precious items.
As Leilia walked towards the dresses, she asked him.
“How about this?”
It was a cool blue dress, perfect for summer, with an open back and a neat design at the front. When Leilia put it on and smiled brightly in front of Cassel, he stepped behind her and kissed her on her back.
“This dress is perfect for doing this.”
“Cassel!”
“It suits you.”
Her back was hot, as the sensation of his lips against her back lingered vividly.
“I’ll go with this one.”
‘And what should I do with the bracelet?’
After thinking about it, she settled on a bracelet, necklace, and earrings set in white gold with blue gemstones.
The selection process went surprisingly quickly.
“I think this will do.”
As she quickly packed the items into her bag, Leilia also picked out a necklace for Cassel to wear. There were items she had chosen that she thought would suit him. Among the things she had chosen, he picked out the ones he liked. It was a necklace with similar blue jewels to the one she had chosen.
“If we do this, even if no one says anything, we’ll look like a married couple..”
At his words, Leilia’s expression turned worried. She had been thinking about what would happen if he was disrespected because he was her husband.
‘Cassel is different.’
Even if she were ignored, it wouldn’t happen to Cassel, so it would be okay.
“But why go to such lengths?”
Cassel gave her a sharp look as he asked.
Knowing how the people of the imperial family treat her, it shouldn’t have been hard to guess.
“Anyway, Cassel has to know too.”
