We're in a Contract Marriage, But I've Imprinted - Chapter 91
“You didn’t forget about our promise, did you?”
“Ah.”
I realized she had asked to meet the other Omega, it had slipped my mind. Lately, I felt my mind was becoming duller.
“But Lady Nicola, Young Lord wouldn’t approve of this.”
“Henry, Ian isn’t here right now, is he?”
“Still, it’s not allowed, Lady Nicola.”
“Mel agreed to it already, didn’t you, child?”
I felt obliged to keep the promise, even if it was just to properly conclude things with her. Even if I was the only one who thought so.
“Henry, I’ll be back soon. It shouldn’t take long.”
“But, Madam, the Young Lord…”
Henry seemed anxious and was trying to dissuade me, but Nicola took his hand.
“I just want to go out and have fun with my daughter-in-law. Honestly, I couldn’t even meet her when Ian was around.”
Her tone, whining despite her age, seemed oddly fitting. It wasn’t just me who thought so. Henry hesitated before letting out a long sigh of resignation.
“Then, please take me with you. I can’t let you two go alone.”
“We’ll come too!”
The maids nearby also chimed in, and Nicola nonchalantly shrugged.
“It’ll be more fun if we all go together, right?”

Monica had arrived early in the morning at Marquisate Ovando’s residence. Lilliana watched her with amusement.
“Lady, you look quite fierce. Planning something big today?”
“…Lilliana.”
“When asking for favors, you always address me as the Marchioness, but now that it’s over, is that why?”
“It’s not that. I have something serious to discuss.”
“…What is it?”
“How did you feel about it?”
“About what?”
Monica wanted to ask Lilliana, who was in a similar situation to hers.
“Your husband saw a child with another woman first. How did that make you feel?”
“…..”
Lilliana’s smile vanished at the uncomfortable question.
“What’s your point?”
“Nothing. I was just curious if you felt the same as I do.”
“…And how do you feel?”
Monica’s expression twisted fiercely at Liliana’s words.
“I want to kill.”
Her words were ruthless and without hesitation, but Lilliana wasn’t shocked. She had thought the same. Instead, she asked something else.
“Who?”
“…What?”
“Who exactly do you want to kill? The Omega, or…”
Lilliana trailed off as she looked at Monica’s stomach. While it was permissible to talk about the Omega’s death, discussing the child was another matter entirely. Ethically, she knew the lineage of the child.
Lilliana had helped Monica out of amusement until now, but that was as far as it went. She warned the jealousy-blinded Monica.
“Just enjoy it. You must have been dying to see it but couldn’t. Just torment her like before. Humiliate her, shame her, make her understand her place and status.”
“…Lilliana.”
Monica knew that wouldn’t be enough to relieve her anger. Ian was practically her man, and now with her father ill and her marriage to Ian uncertain, her future was murky.
Lilliana moved closer to Monica who has a venomous face and whispered.
“Monica. Don’t touch the Alpha.”
“Why?”
“Omegas don’t have power, but Alphas do, in abundance.”
“….What should I do then? I feel like I’m going mad.”
“You need to shake the Alpha, make him distance himself from the Omega. Honestly, you seem a bit clueless.”
Lilliana chided Monica before walking away and ringing a bell to summon the servants.
“We have an important guest today, so make everything look beautiful.”
“Understood, Madam.”

The place Nicola and I arrived at was Marquisate Ovando. I didn’t know she had a connection with the Marchioness. Could the Omega who bore an Alpha, the mistress?
As the carriage stopped and I stepped down with Henry’s help. I looked straight ahead while covering my rounded belly when I saw Lilliana and Monica together.
I was surprised by the unexpected presence, but Nicola seemed even more taken aback.
“Oh? Why is she here?”
“Lady Nicola, I forgot to mention. I invited my dear friend Monica today. It seemed wrong to send her away so early in the morning. We were planning a tea party anyway, so one more person wouldn’t hurt, right?”
“…..I don’t mind.”
Nicola said, glancing at me. Monica, whom I hadn’t seen for a while, seemed lifeless compared to before. I had been puzzled when she didn’t appear in the Duchy, but I wasn’t keen on delving into it.
The Marchioness approached me in a friendly manner.
“Hello? We haven’t met before, have we?”
“Hello, Marchioness. It’s my first time meeting you, I’m Melissa Von Bryant.”
Thinking about it, I hadn’t properly introduced myself to anyone since marrying Ian. The ‘Bryant’ surname felt strangely unfamiliar but rolled smoothly in my mouth.
However, the atmosphere around us turned cold. Monica’s face twisted devilishly, and Nicola looked at me with eyes full of coldness.
Lastly, the Marchioness blinked in surprise, as if she had heard something astonishing.
“….I’ve been quite forgetful lately. Ah, right. I was confused because you skipped the wedding ceremony. I thought you were still part of the Rosewood family.”
Her widened eyes seemed to flicker with disappointment. I wondered why, but the butler of the Ovando family stepped forward and greeted us formally.
“Nice to meet you. I’m Benjamin, the butler of Marquisate Ovando.”
“Perfect timing, Benjamin. Could you show them around?”
“Certainly, Madam.”
I followed them slowly. Henry and a young maid were by my side. As my stomach grew, I found myself waddling without realizing it. However, this wasn’t the Duchy, so I made an effort to walk as properly as possible.
