We're in a Contract Marriage, But I've Imprinted - Chapter 108
As he persistently pressed against her womb, Melissa attempted to run away. Ian, instead of stopping her, followed with a leisurely motion, simply turned his waist more deliberately.
“Ahk!”
“Whoo, has it been too long? You’re going to cut and eat me.”
“No, not that…”
“Not that?”
“Mm, no…”
Melissa murmured and tried to evade, seemingly unaware of her own words. But she found herself unable to escape as the sound of the lock clicked into place.
He twisted his head to check the taut chain and lightly bounced his hips.
“Ung!”
“Did that move you?”
“Uuhng…”
With a languid gesture, Ian lifted her pristine leg onto his shoulder. His muscular arms firmly supported his weight on the bed as he began thrusting.
The junction of their bodies fit snugly. The glistening liquid clung to his dark bottom hair, and as he thrust fully, grinding against her, her cli* reddened against the coarse hair.
“Aah…”
“Haa…”
His hot breath settled on her leg, along with his pheromones. Overwhelmed by the long-absent relationship and the pheromones, Melissa struggled to maintain her senses.
She gathered the blanket around her stomach. Even though the baby wouldn’t be able to hear, she was embarrassed and wanted to shield her unborn child’s ears.
“Hoo, this is unbearable.”
Ian was unable to hold back any longer at the sight of his Omega protecting their offspring. He hugged the two beneath him and thrust wildly. He sought her gasping mouth, sealing it as completely as their joined bodies, and released his pheromones.
The damp scent of the forest enveloped her from head to toe. Melissa, feeling as if she was sinking into water, reached out to him. A gesture she could only make towards the one who had once saved her from drowning. And Ian, as if it were the most natural response, intertwined his fingers with hers and held her firmly.
While moving slowly yet with weight, he released a short moan as he climaxed. His warmth filled her entirely.
Feeling the mark of the alpha within and upon her, Melissa was overwhelmed beyond words. She wished to stay just like this hidden beneath the alpha that dominated her.
She thought she could be happier just relying solely on instinct, without the need for any other considerations. Melissa pressed her face against Ian’s heaving chest, feeling the intensity of his emotions.
As she felt the stickiness of his tongue and lips, she paused momentarily at a splashing sound, but soon her lips were devoured, leaving her incapable of thinking about anything else.
Contrary to the peaceful snowfall outside, the space where the two were was filled with squelching noises.

As winter neared its end, Ian’s protectiveness reached its peak. The Duchy was in constant chaos due to the Omega nearing childbirth.
“What is that smell?”
Having stayed in the room with her all the time, he seriously asked the maid who came in with snacks.
“Pardon?”
The maid lifted her arm to sniff but couldn’t identify the problem, her face gradually turning into a frown. Then, Henry intervened with an apology.
“My apologies, Young Lord. I had instructed her to bring firewood, and it seems she encountered those cleaning the stables today. I’ll have her leave immediately.”
“Take whatever you brought with you. It’s tainted the cup as well.”
“Understood.”
Recently, Ian had become particularly sensitive to smells. Leaning against the bed’s headboard, he approached me and immediately buried his nose in my nape, inhaling deeply before looking at me, puzzled.
“You haven’t produced any pheromones for a week now. Is there a problem?”
“….Should I call the doctor?”
“Perhaps we should.”
His heightened sensitivity to smells was because of me. Indeed, as he mentioned, there was a sudden cessation of pheromones, which made no sense, especially since an Omega’s pheromones typically intensify during pregnancy. This only added to the confusion.
The doctor had been clueless earlier, but deciding it was better to consult him again rather than letting Ian worry seemed wise.
“I can’t even guess a reason. Is there anything you haven’t told me?”
“There’s no way. I’m always with the Young Lord.”
“….Right.”
After the poisoning incident, Ian frequently tried to check on me, even though he knew everything about me. It appeared more time was needed for his trust to be fully restored even though time has passed.
The doctor arrived promptly after the Young Lord’s summons. He was visibly concerned due to the imminent childbirth as well.
“Young Lord, I regret to inform you, but as a Beta, my knowledge on Alpha and Omega pheromones is quite limited. Do you perhaps have someone else to consult about this matter?”
Given the lack of findings from his examination, this was the doctor’s advice to Ian.
“Hmm, understood. You may leave now.”
“My apologies for not being of help, Young Lord.”
After the doctor left, Ian stood up. He was usually reluctant to be apart from me, so he looked at me contemplatively before speaking.
“It seems I must meet with Marquis Ovando. It would be quicker if I go…”
He hesitated, clearly reluctant to leave me alone. However, the sudden disappearance of the pheromones was also a concern to me, so I encouraged him.
“I’m worried too. What if there’s something wrong with our child that we’re not aware of?”
“….Alright, I’ll be back quickly. Do not go anywhere.”
I firmly held his hand in response, adding a slight shake of my foot for emphasis.
“Where would I go in this state?”
Hearing the chains, Ian finally let go of his worries and allowed a smile to break through.
“I had forgotten. Then, I’ll return shortly.”
“Yes, I understood.”
