Vulgar Marriage - Chapter 6
Chapter 3.2
She glared up at him, twisting her body in a futile attempt to resist, but she was quickly overpowered. Dominic pinned her wrists above her head, his free hand reaching for her neck. His calloused palm pressed firmly against her delicate throat.
Her tender skin bruised under his grip. A little more pressure, and she’d be dead.
But as soon as Dominic’s hand touched her neck, Livi stopped struggling. The wildcat defiance in her eyes disappeared, and she averted her gaze. The meaning behind her actions was unmistakable.
Dominic, stunned by her sudden stillness, growled.
“Why did you get so quiet?”
“…”
“Are you hoping I’ll strangle you to death? Is that what you’re waiting for?”
In response, Livi silently closed her eyes.
Dominic let out a disbelieving laugh. He drew a dagger, cutting the gag from her mouth and tossing it to the floor, but before she could attempt to harm herself again, he crushed his lips against hers.
“Mmph…!”
Her eyes flew open in shock. Dominic pinned Livi beneath him as she struggled, leisurely invading her mouth with his tongue.
“Agh, ah, ngh…”
When he finally pulled away, Livi glared at him with a murderous gaze and tried to bite her tongue.
“Oh no, you don’t.”
Dominic quickly shoved his left index and middle fingers into her mouth, pressing down on her tongue.
Saliva dribbled from her lips as he pinned her jaw open. Unfazed, he wiped away her drool with his other hand, then pulled a handkerchief from his coat and stuffed it into her mouth.
“I overestimated you, wife. I didn’t think you’d break so quickly.”
Livi’s eyes blazed with fury.
Broken? Who said she was broken? She most certainly wasn’t. She would rather die with dignity than live as a humiliated slave. That was the only way to honor her family, the ones who had died before her.
No one could blame her for holding onto her pride as a member of her family.
But then, Dominic’s next words caught her completely off guard.
“If the Devil throws you into the abyss, you should claw your way back up and slit his throat,” he said, smiling. “Don’t act so weak. Seek revenge, my wife.”
Livi couldn’t believe her ears. Revenge? That was the last thing she expected to hear from this demonic man.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to avenge her family. If given the chance, she’d repay it twofold, threefold.
‘But who does he think he is to speak of revenge?’
Just thinking of how Dominic had casually driven his bloodied sword into the ground as if it were a toy still sent chills down her spine.
How dare he talk of revenge, after tying her up and gagging her? It felt like the ultimate insult.
Even a prisoner under interrogation was allowed to speak. Livi knew she was in a far worse position. And yet, the very man who had robbed her of her freedom had the audacity to talk about revenge. The humiliation made her skin crawl.
‘Does he want to see me squirm and struggle like a pathetic worm?’
Maybe he did.
Dominic was a cruel man. There was a story about him that was well-known, even in the capital. It said that he immediately executed a child for crossing the border from an enemy country, only that child was begging for help because his parents were killed. Perhaps he intended to toy with her before finishing her off, just as he had with that child.
“Mmph!”
“You’re overthinking, my wife. Leave nobles alone for a second, and they start spinning thoughts in their heads.”
Dominic moved closer, grabbing the bandage wrapped around her neck and tugging sharply. The wound was still oozing, and as he tightened the bandage, a sharp, stabbing pain shot through her. Livi winced, but Dominic only continued to toy with it.
He studied her bloodshot eyes with little interest, as if this were just another task, rather than something he enjoyed. His fingers kept tightening the bandage, sending waves of pain through her. But when Livi refused to make any more noise, his face grew bored, and he stopped.
“How boring.”
When Dominic finally let go of her neck, Livi gasped for air, barely able to hold back the groans threatening to escape. She was at her limit, and her jaw ached as she released the handkerchief she’d been biting.
Just as she thought she could breathe again, Dominic’s hand moved elsewhere.
His fingers found her breast, squeezing it roughly. He twisted the flesh in his palm, his thumb pressing down painfully. Livi’s mind went blank.
“Hng, agh!”
“Yes, that’s more like it. Scream, my wife. Feel the pain.”
His hand tightened around her waist to keep her from escaping, while his other hand continued to torment her. He kneaded the sensitive area in slow, deliberate circles, then squeezed harder.
Each time his rough palm grazed her nipple, Livi’s eyes widened in shock.
‘What is this? What’s happening?’
Her vision blurred, the world around her warping and spinning out of focus. Everything around her seemed unreal. She could barely see straight, let alone think clearly. No matter how hard she tried, her composure was slipping away.
As a noblewoman of marriageable age, Livi wasn’t ignorant of what took place between a man and a woman. But in her mind, marriage—and everything it entailed—has always been nothing more than an obligation. She had never imagined being tied up and tortured like an animal.
