Time-Limited Saintess, You've Been Caught by the Tyrant Once Again - Chapter 4
Elena stared at him with a cold glare.
It bothered her to see him with a haughty look, like a noble on the subject of a commoner girl. Nevertheless, she also did not like him anyway.
‘…This is the kind of girl I’d want next to me.’
Elena was the most beautiful girl among filthy commoners to the extent that Liliana was invidious. Because of that, the Lord was waiting for her to come of age and bloom.
“If you wish, Elena, you can live in the castle right away. What’s the use of the land?”
“Just oblige so you wouldn’t have to waste your strength.”
He then reached out his hand and stroked her cheek.
“It’d be a pity to hurt this pretty face.”
The Lord smiled virulently and got up. He glanced at her up and down with a sinister expression before leaving. Elena looked at Viscount Timothy’s back.
“He’s still the same.”
Indignation did not soar in her heart. It was because this person was executed in a miserable manner by Enrich and Maynard.

The next morning, Elena had been on her knees in the church since the morning, offering devotional prayers to God. She also pondered why God sent her back. As she said her prayers, her complicated mind gradually alleviated.
…What could she do to prevent a planned tragedy? To prevent the tragedy, there was only one way—
‘I must not be the saint.’
In the first place, if the saint did not appear, there would be no conflict between Arkan and Erich.
“Praying once in a while, do you want to wish for good fortune?”
When she glanced behind her at the chirping voice, Elena saw a woman walking this way with her maids.
It was Liliana.
‘…It’s been a while.’
Elena used to admire her.
It was because Liliana, the daughter of the Lord of this small town, was like a princess. Indeed, everyone must have longed for her life — an elegant noble lady.
Even after she became the Saint, she was still very envious of Liliana’s life. A noble lady who was free to live her own life as she pleased, who did not have to be constrained by the temple with no obligations.
As Elena smiled, Liliana raised her hand and slapped her on the cheek.
“Are you smiling?”
She stared at Liliana with her eyes wide open. It had been so long that she had forgotten… Liliana hated her. Even if Elena just glanced at her like this, it was enough for Liliana to slap her.
“Is it true that you seduced my father?!”
Elena stared at her with a stunned look.
“My mother and father fought because of you!”
Caressing her tingling cheek, she was baffled that she had to be beaten for something she did not even do.
“Lady, I have never seduced the Lord.”
“Why would I seduce your father? I’m still young, and I have never thought of the Lord with such a disrespectful gaze.”
“You’re wagging your tail!*”
[ T/N: It usually refers to when people are acting or flirting in order to look good in front of the opposite sex. ]
“Lady, I have no interest in the Lord.”
Liliana tried to slap her on the cheek again, but Elena stopped her hand.
“No one has the right to beat a commoner just because you’re a noble, Lady.”
“I don’t belong to you.”
Her calm tone was graceful, as if she had become a noble. Liliana’s face flushed red with anger when she saw Elena like that.
“You, you…! Grab her!”
The next moment, her maids caught her.
Still, Elena glanced at her without resisting. It was because she felt it was no use stopping her anyway. Liliana’s face flushed red with anger at that calm gaze as she slapped her on the cheek.
Being subjected to the violence, she recalled her past. When she became the Saint, Viscount Timothy claimed that he was like her adoptive father. So, in return for raising the Saint, he received a huge amount of money from the temple and entered the capital.
Upon his accession as pope, Erich investigated him, and after learning that he had committed obscenity against the Saint, he destroyed the Timothy family. Liliana was beheaded by Maynard, the commander of Paladins.
The reason was that she deceived the temple and dared to touch the sacred body of the Saint.
And, a few days later, the news that the village was destroyed by the crazy Emperor, Arkan.
“How dare you, with those eyes!”
Elena continuously got slapped on the cheeks.
Blood gushed out of her mouth, and her face swelled up.
Her resentment and anger grew, but when Elena remembered that she had been executed for her, her feelings quickly vanished. When Liliana died, her stomach felt more unjust. As she recalled the memory of Liliana, who was trembling miserably before her head was cut off, she could endure the hits this much.
Turning pale, she saw the villagers who were looking at her. They all shook their heads and turned away from her.
However, Elena was not saddened by their appearance. The more she thought about it, the more painful it was, and she finally remembered the people she had been desperately trying to forget.
Elena thought blankly. When she thought the dead were alive, the pain of the assault was somehow tolerable.
After hitting her for a while, Liliana shook her hands and rose up.
After spitting on Elena, she eventually went back. In her collapsing sight, only the hem of Liliana’s rich skirt could be seen.
Elena stared at her dark scarlet skirt. She once said she wanted to wear that dress. The tingling pain rather awakened a sense of reality.
She was still alive in this place…
The villagers soon rushed to her, worried about her. Even though they could not come out to stop them because they were afraid of Liliana’s destruction, they were the ones who took warm care of Elena, who had lost her parents.
These people were so good that she did not want them to die because of Arkan.
“Elena, are you okay?”
The old lady next door supported Elena, who had collapsed.
“I don’t understand why the Young Lady treats you so badly.”
Hearing the concern, she smiled at her.
“It’s okay. Strangely, I’m getting a hold of myself.”
‘Although I didn’t pay it all back, let’s just assume that I paid the price for this…’
Thinking that, Elena forced a laugh.
“People are also too much. To you… how could they ignore you like this? Garbage bastards!”
The old lady ground her teeth and started cursing them. Though it was a bit exaggerated to curse simple bystanders, Elena just smiled.
“Elena, you’re too kind that it’s a problem.”
“Is that so?”
She had always been praised for being nice and kind.
“Therefore, I’m not going to live virtuously anymore.”
At that, Elena smiled.
For some reason, she thought that this was the correct answer. Perhaps, this might be what God wanted. Leaving behind the memories of the dreadful fire that flickered through her mind, Elena decided to pace her way.
