Time-Limited Saintess, You've Been Caught by the Tyrant Once Again - Chapter 29
Chapter 15.1
“…This is too much.”
Ellin gasped when she saw the clothes that had been sent to her.
Generally, vibrant and brightly colored fabrics, akin to blooming flowers, were considered a luxury, reserved for nobles and the wealthy. Crafted from precious dyes, these textiles commanded high prices, making them unattainable for commoners like Ellin.
Not only were they dyed using these coveted pigments, but she was presented with not just one, but three complete sets.
The first set featured a resplendent sapphire blue hue, reminiscent of the deepest depths of the ocean. The second ensemble boasted a light green dress, evoking the vibrant shades of grass, accentuated with a subtle golden sheen. And the third set showcased a delicate pink hue, comparable to the soft petals of a blooming flower.
“He said you’d only buy one…”
Ellin had been thinking about it since her first life.
She had always thought that small things like minor gestures could have a significant impact when it came to Maynard. She recalled the time in her previous life when Maynard, upon hearing her desire to eat fruits, had promptly ventured out and bought all kinds of fruits for her.
The image of his solemn expression as he presented her with the fruits was etched in her mind, and she couldn’t help but find it amusing.
As she gazed at the sumptuous clothes before her, Ellin’s lips curled into a gentle smile. She remembered the words that Lennon had said when he approached her.
⎡ “Sir Maynard is concerned. It seems that your clothes are all worn out, so he suggests getting you a new outfit.” ⎦
Upon hearing those words, Ellin turned towards Maynard, who averted his gaze in embarrassment. No matter how cold he was to her, Maynard was a kind person. It seemed that he was concerned about Ellin, who couldn’t fit in with the Angelias.
‘…That’s a relief.’
She was content that there still was a glimpse of Maynard she could recognize.
It was coming from Maynard anyway, so what could be the harm?
During her time as the Saint, Ellin was accustomed to donning pristine white garments every day so this was her first experience with attire of such vibrant hues. While it was unimaginable for her to behave in an unseemly manner as the Saint, both in the past and present, she had always admired the colorful clothing that adorned other young ladies.
Receiving these beautiful garments filled her with a natural sense of joy.
‘What should I wear?’
Ellin first chose a light green outfit that matched the color of her eyes. Having taken her measurements in advance, the dress seemed to fit her flawlessly. Though it was slightly loose around the arms, it hugged her figure in just the right way.
Accustomed to wearing only black or drab brown garments, seeing herself adorned in this light green attire brought a radiant glow to her face.
As she glanced at her tousled hair, there was a slight hint of platinum blonde showing at the roots.
‘I need to go buy some hair dye.’
Fiddling with the roots of her hair, she then looked at the clothes she was wearing.
‘If I go out wearing such expensive clothes, I’ll become a target for others… I should wear the expensive clothes tomorrow.’
“Where are you going?”
Ellin responded to a maid’s question.
“I need to go outside for a moment. I’ll come back after getting permission from the priest.”
The maid’s eyes lit up at the sight of her backside.
A few hours later, Ellin returned.
She hurriedly dyed the roots of her hair with the medicine she had brought. Because of this, she was unaware that the box where she kept the Golden Bible were kept was slightly ajar.

It was a few days later.
“Sir Maynard has gone on a trip?”
“That’s right. He went out with His Holiness early this morning.”
“Ah…”
“If there’s an urgent matter, do you want me to relay anything to him?”
“No.”
The paladins, who had always scorned her for her tattered garments, now treated her with newfound respect and treated her like a true lady. However, Ellin let out a sigh, seemingly oblivious to the change in their attitude.
Maynard’s responsibilities extended beyond just escorting the Saint as he occasionally accompanied the Pope on his journeys as well. The Pope had a capricious temperament and frequently embarked on travels to various locations. Consequently, in his absence, there were often instances where his position remained unoccupied.
‘It’s a pity.’
She wanted to express her gratitude by showing him how well she dressed now. Ellin let out a sigh instead.
“You look great in your new clothes, Miss Ellin.”
That was when the Angelias approached her.
Scrutinizing her up and down, they commented on the dress.
“That’s a pretty expensive outfit. Looking at it this way, Ellin looks like a decent lady.”
Esther, one of the Angelias, spoke, crossing her arms.
She seemed displeased with Ellin, who suddenly had new clothes.
“That’s right. I wonder where you got the money from? Didn’t you say you didn’t have any last time?”
Henrietta asked.
“I happened to have some new clothes.”
Ellin smiled as she answered, choosing to keep silent about any grievances concerning Maynard. She was determined to protect his noble reputation from any unwarranted rumors or unfair judgments. Meanwhile, some people wore displeased expressions as they looked at her happy face as she answered, while others expressed their admiration as they gazed at her appearance.
It was then.
“Miss Ellin, I need to speak with you.”
A cold voice resounded.
It was Liliana.
She walked over to Ellin, cold fury in her blue eyes. Seeing Ellin tilting her head, Liliana spoke coldly.
“I can’t stand that this happened here.”
“Yes?”
“Did you sell the precious Golden Bible outside?”
…Selling the Golden Bible?
Ellin made a puzzled expression. The Golden Bible is safely nestled in her room. Besides, the thought of selling it never crossed her mind.
“I didn’t do that.”
She shook her head.
“Then, why is this in my hand?”
In Liliana’s hand was the Bible Erich had given her.
“What, why is it with the Saint…”
“It seems like you’re still pretending. This was found on the market.”
At those words, the Angelins screamed in surprise.
“O-Oh, my God! Selling such a precious thing…”
“What did you do…?!”
Similarly, the paladins behind Liliana stared at Ellin in disgust.
“My maid went to the market today and saw that this item was being auctioned off.”
Lisa quickly nodded.
Ellin was speechless.
