The Queen Who Deserves To Be Tainted - Chapter 55.1
No matter how much she wore a mask, it was impossible not to recognize her voice, one that had been heard countless times before.
The long, beautiful platinum hair that cascaded down was a feature only found on her, and once her sparkling purple eyes were confirmed, there was no room for doubt.
Though Illene had informed Ejnar about Elfreda’s outfit earlier, Ejnar was confident he would have easily recognized her even if he hadn’t known.
“I didn’t expect you to come here.”.
“Why? Are you upset that I came to a place like this?”
“No.”
…No?
“I heard from Illene that the Queen has never been to such a place before.”
Elfreda immediately nodded in agreement.
“Well, it’s a pleasant experience to try something like this at least once.”
…Pleasant experience?
Each word felt like a precious gem, and Ejnar, unaware, felt something begin to boil inside his heart.
He had asked out of curiosity, but was she really so generous? One side of his mouth involuntarily twisted.
“Do you even know what kind of place this is?”
“Well… it’s a masquerade ball.”
“Exactly.”
Ejnar, who had been silently watching Elfreda, slowly leaned in toward her. Their faces drew nearer, and Elfreda stiffened, realizing that the atmosphere had shifted, stiffened.
“People wear masks and enjoy themselves.”
“…..”
“Do you know what everyone is doing behind the masks?”
“Hahng!”
Before Elfreda could respond, a raw moan filled the air. Startled, Elfreda quickly looked toward the sound, only to have Ejnar turn her face toward him by gently cupping both her cheeks.
“Where are you looking? Focus on me.”
“But… I…”
“If you think that’s a pleasant experience…”
Ejnar’s lips curled into a sly smile.
“As your husband, it’s my duty to cooperate.”
“What?”
Elfreda’s eyes opened wide with confusion, she wondered what he was talking about. But Ejnar ignored it and pressed soft kisses over her cheek before slowly moving his lips to her neck. The light kiss quickly became more sticky and intense as it trailed down her jaw and neck.
Before long, Elfreda found herself pressed against the cold balcony wall. Ejnar’s lips gently grazed beneath her collarbone.
“Uht…Your Majesty.”
“You shouldn’t call me that.”
Ejnar’s voice was neat despite the situation.
“With a mask on, is there any chance you’ll be recognized?”
“Heuk, but…”
“Unless, of course, you want rumors spreading through the entire palace that the king and queen were caught together on the balcony today.”
His soft voice, barely a breath, brushed against Elfreda’s delicate skin. Without looking, Ejnar’s hand traced her back, finding the hidden strap of her dress and loosening it.
With the ominous sound of the strap coming undone, Elfreda shifted nervously.
“Keep calling me that if you want.”
“Please, wait. Here…?”
“Why?”
Ejnar grinned mischievously.
“Weren’t you expecting something like this?”
“No… I… wasn’t…”
Elfreda protested, but it was a meaningless struggle. Before long, her dress slipped halfway off, leaving her exposed. As the cold skin made contact with the cold air, a shiver ran through her body.
As if to promise warmth, Ejnar quickly took the exposed part of her into his mouth. The gentle action made her shiver. Elfreda helplessly grabbed onto the wall.
“Heuk, if someone sees us…”
“They won’t know who we are.”
“Ahhh, still…”
Elfreda looked at Ejnar with a wavering gaze. Did she know that look drove men mad? Ejnar narrowed his eyes as he looked at the form-fitting dress that clung to her body.
It wasn’t just the gaze. This was the real issue. But it wasn’t a big problem. After all, in a masquerade ball, there were secret passages leading to rooms for those suddenly caught up in passion.
As Ejnar leaned down toward Elfreda, he briefly pulled back and hastily straightened his clothes. His hands moved urgently, struggling to fix the dress strap, but it wasn’t easy. Eventually, he gave up and lifted Elfreda into his arms.
Before Elfreda could even utter a surprised sound, Ejnar kissed her lips. The clashing of their rigid masks made a clumsy noise, followed by a sticky sound echoing through the balcony.
Refusing to pull away from Elfreda’s lips, Ejnar moved toward the secret passage. As he hurried down the narrow stairs, rooms for the ball’s guests soon appeared.
Noticing a red card on the doorknob of an occupied room, Ejnar rushed to the nearest vacant door, quickly hung the red card on the handle, and slammed the door shut behind them.
Ejnar quickly moved to the bed and put her down onto it. As their lips parted slightly, Elfreda looked up at him with flushed cheeks.
