The Queen Who Deserves To Be Tainted - Chapter 28.2
As the sensation stung and took her breath away, she writhed beneath him.
Whether above or below, her writhing felt like eager encouragement to Ejnar, fueling his excitement even more. As he moved deeper and thoroughly bit and sucked every part of her exposed skin, this time, he tasted something sweeter.
Elfreda, meanwhile, felt disoriented as her own blood mingled with his mouth. Her breathing grew labored, and her consciousness began to fade. Just before she lost herself completely, Ejnar finally released her.
Seeing her flushed cheeks and hazy eyes from the lack of air, Ejnar felt more satisfied than ever.
As he pressed kisses across her skin, her ragged breaths filled his ears. Softened by the moment, he offered a gentle warning.
“Don’t hold anything back. It annoys me.”
Right after those words, Ejnar thrust harder as if to reinforce his point. Elfreda, who was about to instinctively bite her lip again, hesitated.
This time, her raw reactions spilled out freely.
With a now-satisfied expression, Ejnar continued to play her body like an instrument.
* * *
Ejnar was more excited than usual, but Elfreda interpreted it as anger. It felt as if he was determined to hear every sound that could escape her lips.
Last time, she had lost consciousness before hearing her own voice, but this time, she lasted much longer, forced to hear every sound that slipped from her lips. Even long after they had parted, Elfreda couldn’t shake off her embarrassment.
Tonight, it felt as though Ejnar had made it his mission to humiliate her.
Still, what she needed to think about was why he had been in such a bad mood. Admittedly, she had spoken to him more than usual, feeling uncharacteristically excited.
…No, if she was honest, she had talked a lot. However, most of her chatter had been praising Illene, whom Ejnar had sent to her, which was hardly meaningless small talk. In fact, it could be seen as thanking him for his favor, so there was no reason for him to be upset…
As Elfreda pondered this, she quietly sighed, realizing how foolish she had been.
‘He simply didn’t want to hear my voice, did he?’
She had momentarily forgotten that everything about her reminded him of Makaeri, the place that had killed his family. Perhaps even her voice carried something that made him think of her grandfather. How many times had she resolved to keep her distance from him, to live as though she were invisible?
Now, she regretted her lapse in judgment. Perhaps tonight’s affair was a form of punishment, a way for him to make her realize just how irritating her voice could be.
“What are you thinking about?”
Ejnar’s voice broke through her thoughts. He had been lying next to her, watching her as she reached her conclusion. Unlike usual, he remained beside her after they were finished, without her even asking him to. For him, this lingering was a sign that tonight had been particularly satisfying. However, Elfreda interpreted it differently, thinking he was giving her time to reflect. It felt as though he was silently asking, ‘What did you do wrong today?’
As she carefully wrapped her reflection in a neat response, her voice was small from the realization.
“I just… feel like I was disrespectful to Your Majesty today.”
“In what way?”
“I forgot my place…”
Ejnar interpreted her words in the simplest way—seeing her as his wife and the Queen of Machi—and replied,
“Then there won’t be a next time, will there?”
“…Yes, of course.”
Although he had meant that she shouldn’t cover her mouth when insulted or during their intimate moments, Elfreda misunderstood, thinking he wanted her to silence herself completely. This made her feel even more self-conscious.
She had already intended to be quiet, even without his hint…
Now, tears threatened to fall, and she bit down on her lip without thinking. Immediately, a sharp sting from the earlier wound shot through her.
“Ah!“
When she let out a small cry, Ejnar narrowed his eyes and looked at her. It was blood. Her already red lips were now even more flushed.
Ejnar sighed briefly and scolded her.
“I told you not to bite your lips.”
“My apologies… Uht!“
Ejnar leaned in and kissed her, but this time, the kiss was gentle, not rough.
