Chapter 31

“Oh, wait a moment.”

Arlenrose instinctively recoiled, but instead of backing off, Leybid buried his face in her neck and sniffed.

“Be good and give me what I want.”

“No, stop…”

“But your pheromones don’t smell as strong today. Did you take more suppressants? It’s such a pity.”

“Ah….”

Only then did Arlenrose realize that Leybid was releasing his pheromones as an Alpha. The thick scent that enveloped her made her mind woozy and her body hot.

But that was all it did. Though she couldn’t help being affected by his pheromones, the double dose of suppressants she had taken kept her wits with her, preventing her from collapsing like she had last time.

It seemed that two doses were enough to keep the Crown Prince’s pheromones at bay. It had been worth the trouble of swallowing those awful pills and enduring the stomach cramps that were even worse than usual.

Unlike Arlenrose, who was secretly relieved, Leybid clicked his tongue in disappointment.

“Why did you take so much, when you’re going to do it with me anyway? You were so cute back then. The way you, who always held yourself so stiffly, suddenly crumbled and melted was so thrilling.”

His words made her fists clench involuntarily. Arlenrose forced herself to speak calmly.

“I see that Your Highness finds it amusing to watch an opponent lose consciousness and become defenseless, overwhelmed by your pheromones.”

“Of course, I’m a dominant Alpha.”

Leybid nonchalantly affirmed his barbed words and lifted Arlenrose’s body.

“Well, it’s alright. I’m sure there are other ways to enjoy ourselves in this state.”

“Ah…!”

Arlenrose panicked as her body suddenly floated into the air. She reached out towards the books she had thrown aside and said urgently.

“Wait a moment. I was just about to finish reading that part…”

“No, you can’t. I’ve been waiting so long.”

She should have at least finished reading the passage so that she could have processed the information in her head. Arlenrose gritted her teeth and glared at Leybid, who was now grumbling.

“You’re going to be with me, but you’re more interested in letters? You can concentrate on the contents of a book while doing this?”

“Is there something wrong with that?”

“This is ridiculous. I’ve been waiting impatiently for the night to come, excited at the thought of being with you, and all I’ve done is waste my time.”

“But you must have enjoyed the hospitality provided by His Highness, the Crown Prince, in the meantime. What was so tedious about it?”

“Oh, that? Of course I refused.”

He refused. For some reason, the moment she learned that fact, she felt a bit of tension leave her body. Leybid noticed and chuckled as he looked down at Arlenrose.

“Why? Were you worried that I might accept? Were you jealous, perhaps?”

“Of course not…”

His absurd words made her laugh in spite of herself.

“I was merely stating a fact.”

“Is that so? I feel a bit reassured.”

“Of course you would be reassured. I’m not so much of a pervert that I would be aroused by a pregnant Omega, even if she is a Crown Princess.”

“Oh, is that so? No matter what, you didn’t want to be f*cked by such a pervert, right?”

An incredibly vulgar remark came out of the Crown Prince’s handsome, almost perfect face. Arlenrose felt her face flush and turned her head away.

“Of course not.”

“Of course not, because I’m not that much of a pervert. How could you even think that of me?”

“But you are a womanizer. You said yourself that you go crazy over Omegas.”

“Well, that’s true.”

Leybid readily agreed and turned to face the bed, still holding Arlenrose in his arms.

“And I’m going crazy to have you right now.”

He added those words, his eyes half-closed in a languid manner.

“Since you have such a unique taste in Omegas, I thought you might have that kind of f*tish too.”

As he carried her towards the bed, Arlenrose’s words made Leybid’s eyes widen slightly.

“Ah, are you calling yourself unique now? Do you think I only want to be with you because you’re a unique case?”

“Is that not the case?”

“You really have a low opinion of yourself, Princess.”

Leybid chuckled and gently lowered Arlenrose’s body onto the bed. His shadow fell over her face as she lay there. His face, now less than an inch away, broke into a smile.

“There is only one Omega like you in the world.”

His expression as he said those words was as if he were admiring a great work of art, and Arlenrose tried hard to suppress the strange emotions that stirred within her.

“I’m not.”

Her voice was flat, her expression indifferent. Even though she was lying on the bed, her body close enough to overlap with the Alpha’s, who was releasing his strong pheromones, and even though she was face to face with a man with a beautiful face…

Was this reaction also due to the pheromone suppressants? Leybid felt a twinge of frustration, but he maintained his smile and whispered.
