However, the solution to this problem was also provided by the skull spider. Enya couldn’t communicate with the skull spider through words, but she could understand its intentions.

After initially rescuing the people using its webs, the skull spider began to move upward through the forest. It passed what she had thought was the edge of the forest and moved even higher. Finally, the skull spider brought the people to the top of the enormous Nervana forest.

The people, who had been quietly moved in the spiderweb basket, were stunned by the sight before them.

“This… this is impossible!”

Above what they thought was the peak of Nervana Forest, another ecosystem was thriving.

Trees were growing atop other trees.

The massive spiderwebs, tangled so intricately they were beyond description, had completely entangled the dead tree trunks and branches beneath their feet, turning them into something akin to soil.

It felt like a new land.

Rigata turned to Yaru and asked.

“Did you know about this place?”

“How could I know?!”

Yaru was at a loss for words, still in shock.

Even though she had been born and raised in the forest and was as Nervana as one could be, this was the first time she had seen anything like it.

After bringing everyone to the top of the forest, Enya didn’t stop.

After rescuing all their comrades who had been captured by the Perugia army, it was time to focus on the Nervana people and Piache’s group.

It was easy to find Jahan, Silanda, and the Nervana group led by Kiyan, as well as the pharmacy members who were with Piache. They had successfully destroyed the dam and triggered the flood in the forest. But now, with the rising waters, they, too, were on the verge of being engulfed.

Enya watched the entire situation unfold through the skull spider’s vision.

‘I need to hurry!’

At her urging, the skull spider’s movements grew even faster.

And there they were.

She spotted the faces she missed the most and felt a lump form in her throat.

It was Piache and Ihita.

The two were desperately clinging to a massive tree trunk.

The first thing that caught Enya’s eye was their battered hands and feet. The elderly woman and the young girl, both soaked in water, widened their eyes the moment they saw Enya. Their faces were filled with surprise, shock, and, unbelievably, guilt.

Then came awe, reverence, and astonishment toward her.

After several more moves, the skull spider succeeded in lifting all the Nervana people to the top of the forest.

Piache, transferred onto the skull spider’s web, cried out loudly. Ihita had to calm her down again.

“Stop crying, old woman! Enya’s alive! Why are you crying like someone died when she’s right here!”

Even Enya, sitting on the skull spider’s back, had to wipe away the tears that kept falling.

To her surprise, Kiyan reacted rather indifferently to both her and the skull spider. But when the skull spider set them down on the new peak, Kiyan’s face lit up as he saw the new space in Nervana that he hadn’t even known existed.

“This… this is amazing!”

“Kiyan!”

Just then, someone came running toward Kiyan.

It was her niece, Yaru.

The reunion of the Nervana people was taking place. They hugged each other, shedding tears, and rejoiced together in the forest’s renewal.

“Yasmin!”

Yaru opened her arms wide and caught her daughter, who was rushing toward her. Spinning in a joyful circle, Yaru and Yasmin’s bodies suddenly lurched upward.

“Kyaak—!”

Nihitan had lifted them both at once with his muscular arms. Watching the family reunion, Rigata’s lips curled into a bittersweet smile.

“Hey, Reyhald! I knew you’d still be alive!”

Reunions were happening everywhere.

The young Nervana people hugged each other, exchanging fists and shoulder slaps, sharing their joy. Moments later, from behind Reyhald, something small leaped at him.

“You fool…!”

It was Ihita, with tears in her eyes.

Stunned, Reyhald quickly composed himself and lifted Ihita into his arms.

Piache’s jaw dropped at the sight.

Kiyan cleared his throat and patted Piache’s back. However, he soon widened his eyes in shock. He had noticed Fiarca running frantically in a particular direction.

“Fiarca!”

Other young people from the Nervana forest were also stunned when they saw Fiarca in a passionate hug with Leroi and sharing an intense kiss.

The young lovers paid no mind to anything else as they reveled in the joy of life. It was a moment when lovers, family, friends, and comrades were united once again. Joy and tears coexisted in that instant.

“What is this? How can soil exist in such a high place?”

Rigata muttered, captivated by his curiosity.

His hand brushed over the remnants of the forest, which resembled soil. He had just reunited with his subordinates, including Aksan and Chiron, whom he had brought with him from Aquilea.

“It must be that, after such a long time, the soil became rich, allowing sprouts to grow and trees to form.”

Lehijin responded.

“So, are the trees we’re standing on dead?”

“No. They must still be alive.”

The new space the skull spider had shown them was truly another land in the sky. Yaru and Jahan, who were scanning the surroundings alongside Silanda, muttered.

“Just by looking, this area seems huge. It feels like a place where gods would live.”

One of the Nervana people cut down a nearby tree. Water began to flow.

Inaken muttered to himself after watching it.

“The water’s perfect, and there are plenty of fruits.”

This sparked excitement among the other Nervana people, who began chattering excitedly.

“If we could hunt down to the surface occasionally, it would be perfect.”

“If we could just figure out how to weave these vines together, it wouldn’t be impossible to live here.”

“Does this mean Nervana will now live in the forest, not just in it?”

The tree’s top was divided into territories. Already, chaos had broken out as people scrambled to claim their spots.

“I’ll take that one!”

“I’m taking this one!”

“Hey, stop pushing!”

At that moment, Piache shouted in a booming voice.

“Everyone, stay focused! Get the patients moved to one spot first!”

Even those who had never seen Piache before were startled by the force of her command. They quickly began moving the patients.

Ihita, who had regained control of her emotions, watched Piache with tears welling up in her eyes.

Reyhald, standing behind her like a shadow, placed a hand on her shoulder.

Ihita turned and smiled brightly. She then rolled up her sleeves and started helping Piache.

The skull spider ignored the Aquilea soldiers, who were being swept away by the water. The Perugia army led by Avisak was the same. While the entire Nervana forest was flooded, the skull spider didn’t save them.

With that, Aquilea was effectively destroyed.

Servia, Gernan, and Avisak-led armies were swept away without a trace. The skull spider did raise a few people who requested help, placing them on trees, but that was all. It did nothing more.

Enya, with a cold gaze, watched them gasp for air, then turned away.

It was only after saving everyone, even the soldiers of Gernan who still had some life left, that Enya felt her heart burn with anxiety.

She couldn’t find him.

Tarhan was nowhere to be seen.
