Savage Forest - Chapter 128.2
If that was the case, she had to make it recognize her.
She was now only a few steps away.
It was as though time was moving slowly only at that moment.
At last, the monster lunged toward Enya, its mouth wide open. The massive jaws spread endlessly. Enya felt an overwhelming shiver run through her body as if a lightning bolt had struck her fingers and toes from the unfathomable depth inside its dark mouth.
Enya squeezed her eyes shut.
Her life had been one of hostility, simply because she was disabled.
Her legs were now beginning to heal.
An opportunity to walk fully on her own two feet again. But even if she kicked that life away with her own feet, if only she could be with him again…
Tarhan.
Alive, together.
Enya released one of her arms. Hanging by just one arm, her body swayed, but she gripped Tarhan’s knife in her mouth. Then, with all her strength, she let out a sound like a battle cry.
In the next moment, Tarhan’s knife scraped from her ankle to her thigh.
Pah—!
A massive amount of blood splattered into the skull spider’s mouth.
The most horrendous pain she had ever experienced surged through her, and just as if it had been expected, her arm lost its strength, and she fell. Her body plummeted toward the ground at a terrifying speed. It seemed as though her consciousness was sinking into the depths.
Swish.
Ah.
Aah.
It was the end.
She had promised she would come back.
Thud—!
As her consciousness flickered, something caught her body.
It was a web-like substance.
Enya barely managed to open her eyes. The skull spider’s web was wrapping around her like a net. Hanging in mid-air, she realized her vision was completely black.
Soon, she recognized what was blocking her view.
Less than an arm’s length away, the skull spider’s eight black eyes were all fixed on her.

“Stop screaming, you fool!”
Fiarca shouted at Jahan, who was howling in distress.
Dirty water was streaming from her eyes as if she were crying. In the pouring rain, Jahan, Silanda, and Fiarca were running.
“Senu is dead! Senu is dead…”
Jahan’s cries were swallowed by the rain. Silanda, who was carried on Jahan’s back, hadn’t moved since earlier.
‘I barely managed to escape with these two, but what now?!’
Fiarca bit her lip and thought.
She recalled the events on the large rock.
‘That Perugia woman overturned everything at the last moment! With Yaru captured, there’s no chance left. And moreover…’
Fiarca remembered the last moments she had witnessed with her own eyes.
‘Enya…’
Quickly wiping away the rainwater from her eyes, the ache in her chest felt as though it was digging into her heart. She clenched her fists tightly, hiding her emotions.
Jahan’s way of mourning was completely different from Fiarca’s.
“Huhhh…! Senu, Senu is dead… And now Enya too…!”
Fiarca squeezed her eyes shut.
She couldn’t bear it any longer. She soon grabbed Jahan by the collar, as he had been crying like a crazy person from a while ago.
“D*mmit! Can’t you just shut up? Stop whining already! I’m just as miserable as you, you idiot!”
However, Jahan couldn’t stop his wailing.
Fiarca cursed loudly and kicked a nearby tree in frustration. They had no weapons. Even the ones she had been carrying, Senu’s weapons, were soaked by the rain and useless.
“D*mmit! All that pain we went through carrying this crap… it was for nothing!”
Fiarca swung her fist at the air.
Fiarca had witnessed Enya’s death up close. If she didn’t vent her emotions like this, her mind might just go crazy. She bit her lip. The last daughter of the forest had fallen to her death, just like that. What would become of Nervana now? Her head pounded as though it would split open.
“Huwaaah, Se, Senu…! Enyaa…! Huwaaaaaaaaaaa!”
Jahan had now even set Silanda down, collapsed onto the ground and cried uncontrollably.
“I, I said I’d follow…! Se, Senu…Senu…! Now that Senu is dead, it’s over for us… It’s over! Ughhh!”
“Shut your d*mn mouth!”
Fiarca screamed sharply and covered her ears. At that moment, a faint hand rested on Jahan’s shoulder. Jahan was startled and stopped crying, turning around.
Silanda had woken up.
Fiarca, too, was taken aback and looked at Silanda. Drops of sweat, like raindrops, fell from her temples.
‘D*mn it!’
Fiarca knew how deep Silanda’s relationship with the deceased Senu had been. She already feared what kind of havoc Silanda might cause, just like Jahan.
However, Silanda’s actions were completely unexpected.
“Jahan.”
Silanda, with her hand still on Jahan’s shoulder, spoke his name quietly. Her voice was very calm, unlike her usual self.
“…Not yet.”
Silanda whispered in a hoarse voice. Her eyes were fixed in one direction.
Jahan’s and Fiarca’s gazes naturally followed the direction Silanda was looking.
And Fiarca froze in place.
They were there.
Fiarca slowly but relentlessly saw the huge mass of people moving toward them. Almost a hundred people were marching together.
It was the Nervana people, led by Kiyan and Piache.
Fiarca saw Kiyan, leading the group, and collapsed to the ground. Jahan, too, dropped his shoulders and opened his mouth wide. At the end of his gaze, a cart filled with the leper den’s weapons rattled.
Silanda whispered again in her hoarse voice.
“It’s not over yet.”
