Savage Forest - Chapter 117.2
She quickly grabbed onto a tree trunk to avoid crashing into it. In the next moment, her body was lifted off the ground.
Silanda, also trying to escape upward, clung to a branch.
Reyhald was nowhere to be seen.
‘There are too many of them! Who could they be?!’
Enya had the grim realization that the enemies had surrounded them on all sides. Strong men began to appear from every direction.
“There she is! That woman…!”
Someone yelled angrily, pointing in the direction Enya was fleeing. At that moment, a massive spear flew toward the back of her head from right behind her. Enya swayed her body and moved the branch just in time to avoid the spear.
Sweat began to pool in her hands. She felt like she couldn’t hold on much longer.
“We’ve caught the man!”
Another voice shouted from afar.
Reyhald seemed to have been captured.
“Only the beast and the woman are left!”
“Get that woman hanging from the branch first! She’s Enya!”
Cold sweat streamed down Enya’s neck.
At that moment, a hand grabbed her ankle.
It was a massive man.
“Kyaak—!”
Enya struggled and screamed in terror as she tried to break free from the man’s grip. Her frantic efforts caused her to fall from the tree trunk. Once on the ground, she writhed and rolled, desperately trying to escape his firm hold on her ankle, but his grip remained unyielding.
She rolled and struggled with all her might, but she was soon overpowered and choked by the man.
“Kuhp, cough, cough…!”
The man’s filthy and harsh breaths pressed against Enya’s face, making it almost impossible to breathe.
Then, a familiar voice reached Enya’s ears, waking her senses.
“You d*mned woman. Did you think you could run forever…?!”
Enya widened her eyes.
The surrounding forest was so densely covered with foliage that no sunlight penetrated, leaving it eerily dark. The man’s face, obscured by shadows, was difficult to make out even in the faint light. Yet, her instincts told her exactly who he was.
Gernan, with his breath smelling of manure, leaned in close to Enya’s ear and shouted with fury.
“Finally found you. Enya, you rotten b*tch…!”

Yaru looked up at the rain-soaked sky of Nervana.
‘It’s the first time I’ve seen so many intruders in the forest.’
The once-familiar forest was devastated from the very entrance. At first, Yaru had suspected the work of the skull spiders. However, the damage appeared to be more consistent with a massive army sweeping through rather than the actions of monsters.
‘What in the world…’
At that moment, a distant whistle sounded sharply through the air.
Yaru, perched atop one of the largest trees nearby, quickly came down with the agility of a monkey.
“Yaru.”
There, waiting for her were Nihitan, Rigata, and some of the Aquilea members they had rescued from the Garganta Desert, along with some Nervana forest locals.
“Nihitan.”
Yaru locked eyes with Nihitan immediately after landing, having just come down from the tree.
After being assigned as a liaison and leaving Aquilea, Yaru headed straight to the Nervana Forest. There, he joined Rigata and Nihitan, who had successfully rescued the remaining members of the allied forces on their way to the forest.
Since then, they have been working together in the field.
Yaru glanced at Rigata, who was standing with his arms crossed next to Nihitan.
“How’s it looking?”
“It’s always jarring to see that grumpy face.”
Yaru replied with a smirk, teasing Ligata. Rigata only twitched an eyebrow in response while Yaru shrugged and continued.
“The forest is definitely agitated. I can see large movements from your group. The skull spiders consistently track one particular path. It’s highly likely that Enya is somewhere along that route.”
Rigata nodded.
At that moment, a man sitting behind Ligata spoke up.
“And what about the remaining three groups, aside from Enya’s?”
His voice was roughened by the desert winds and sandy hair. It belonged to Kasar, a warrior from Garganta.
Kasar’s mercenary group, though not the entire force, had joined the allied forces and was now accompanying them in Nervana. Within the army, Kasar led an elite unit of desert warriors, and among them, one warrior carried Rio on his back.
‘The daughter of the desert’s…’
Yaru glanced briefly at Rio, who, despite being small enough to resemble a boy at first glance, was carefully attended to by the desert warriors. They took great care to ensure she wasn’t harmed.
“The three remaining groups are likely led by Fiarca, Tarhan, and another group of forest invaders.”
Yaru answered.
Kasar’s eyes narrowed sharply as he focused on the rear of their group.
“You’re referring to the son of that woman who fled.”
As Kasar turned his head toward the back with a sneer, Yaru followed his gaze to the back of their ranks. There, a woman with disheveled hair was being dragged along. Her raven-black hair stood out starkly even in the dark forest.
Kasar’s eyes glinted with a mocking smile as he looked at Servia.
