My Past Life is Riddled With Many Sins - Chapter 58
“Alright, let’s go now.”
“Now? Right away?”
“Yes.”
They say to strike while the iron is hot.
The muscular senior was overjoyed and led Regina to the club, which was filled with…
“Oh, president. Muscley afternoon!”
“Isn’t it great that a junior came to visit? Muscley ha ha!”
People of all genders and ages with well-defined muscles filled the room.
Regina turned her head at the strange laughter when the president awkwardly explained,
“Ah, in our club, we laugh with ‘muscley ha ha’ instead of ‘haha.'”
Is there really a need for that?
While she was questioning this inside, she suddenly heard sobbing nearby. A male student was lifting and setting down an unidentifiable object repeatedly, while crying.
“What’s wrong with him?”
“He got muscley-dumped by his girlfriend.”
“Oh, but shedding tears leads to muscle loss!”
“Heh, I just want to become a bird and muscly fly away somewhere.”
“That won’t do, junior! Flapping wings counts as muscley aerobic exercise!”
Regina had been hearing their sentence having ‘muscley’ —was it her imagination?
She looked at the president again, the person responsible for bringing her here, expecting him to clarify.
With an awkward face and rolling eyes, the president explained in a shrinking voice,
“Our club uses ‘muscley’ language… it’s just a trend among us, so please don’t find it strange.”
“Goodbye.”
Regina decided to make a swift exit.
Without looking back, she started to leave, but the president quickly tried to hold her back.
“Junior, wait a moment!”
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think this place is for me.”
“You love muscles too, right?”
“No.”
She didn’t need more muscles than necessary to execute the techniques in her head.
Hearing her response, the president looked as if the sky had fallen, staring with eyes full of betrayal.
“What was all that craving for muscles about then!”
“I just wanted to build a body suitable for swordsmanship, not really a craving.”
“Muscly just as a means? Muscles should be the goal!”
The president exclaimed with wide eyes, looking almost out of his mind, causing Regina to step back a bit.
“Since we have different views, it’s best I don’t join the club.”
“No! You must join our ‘Muscle Morning’ to change your mind!”
“Why do you have to add ‘muscle’ to everything you say?”
“I will teach you the beauty of muscles! Look at these biceps! Triceps! Forearms! Lats! Traps! Glutes!”
The president began to strike poses emphasizing his muscles.
She respected the effort it must have taken to develop such muscles. But that admiration was precisely where it ended. Regina gave a thumbs up and began to back away slowly.
“Thanks for the drink, senior. I’ll be going now.”
“Where do you think you’re running off to?”
The president charged towards her.
If only she had a wooden sword, she might consider fighting, but without using mana, honestly, she wasn’t confident she could win, so Regina ran.
“I thought you said you don’t force people to join?”
“You insulted my muscles!”
“How can muscles feel insulted?”
“Muscles are alive! They hear everything you say. See, here are my Elizabeth and Beatrix trembling! They’re trembling with anger!”
He emphasized his biceps, which looked more like they were just twitching because he was tensing them.
“Let’s stay together until our biceps turn into quadriceps!”
“How can biceps turn into quadriceps?”
“That means forever! Hehe! Newbie, you’re not going anywhere!”
What’s a newbie now?
She couldn’t understand him at all, but driven by a sense of danger that it was critical not to get caught by a madman, Regina kept running.
Fortunately, the president wasn’t very fast, probably because he focused more on muscle-building than on running.
Successfully evading the president, Regina breathed a sigh of relief, though it was only a temporary escape from the immediate threat.
‘Someday, if we meet, he’ll come charging like a furious centaur.’
Bragging about his muscles, Elizabeth and Beatrix, or whatever he calls them.
As if her life wasn’t complicated enough, another bizarre character had been added.
“You’re destined not to live a peaceful life, Yekarna.”
“I know.”
Regina responded irritably to the voice that flashed through her mind. There was only one person who would dare to speak to her with such irreverence: her favorite concubine.
‘But when did he say that?’
Considering it came up in that guy’s voice, it must have been something he said, but Regina couldn’t remember when.
Well, it was not just yesterday’s matter but something from a past life. It’s not too strange to forget such a minor detail.
Regina brushed it off casually and returned to the training grounds.

“Starting today, we’re accepting applications for the campus swordsmanship tournament.”
Professor Gunter, who was in charge of the swordsmanship, announced in a brusque manner.
“A swordsmanship tournament?”
“So sudden?”
“Where’s it being held?”
As the students murmured among themselves, Professor Gunter added,
“Any student of the academy can participate. Registration ends in one week. The tournament will take place in a month. Freshmen will compete against freshmen, and sophomores against sophomores, so there’s no need to worry about facing upperclassmen.”
“Only against our own year? Maybe that’s doable?”
“If it’s just the seniors out of the way, why not go for it?”
“Hey, you should try it out too.”
“Nah, I’m not good enough to compete.”
While the chatter around her went in one ear and out the other, Regina waited nonchalantly for the class to begin.
She had no interest in a children’s event.
Participate? Obviously not.
“Winners of each year level will receive a prize of 5 myna and gifts.”
