I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 7
Chapter 7
“Ahh! He- Heyna!”
Rose screamed as she saw Heyna faint.
“W-What do we do? Th-That, that!”
As Heyna lost consciousness, the hand slowly moved upward. From the arm to the shoulder, from the shoulder to the neck, the hand reached Heyna’s face. The wriggling hand seemed to be trying to cover Heyna’s mouth.
“Hey, you guys! Don’t just stand there; do something!”
“Do you think we’re not scared?”
Tommy, who scoffed at Rose, quickly approached Heyna. Closing his eyes tightly and reaching out his hand, he grabbed the pale hand above Heyna’s face.
“Ahh!”
And threw it far away.
Thud.
The hand rolled on the floor a few times like a bug that had been hit, then crawled towards a corner of the wall.
“Well done, Tommy. Let’s escape during this opportunity!”
Zion carried Heyna on his back and ran. Tommy, who was about to follow him, caught sight of Rose, who was trembling. Rose was unable to get up from her place, frozen with fear. From the moment they first met, she had been annoying in various ways, and even at this moment, she was causing trouble.
“What are you doing? Get up quickly.”
Tommy sighed deeply and grabbed Rose’s hand, pulling her along.
“Eek! What are you doing!”
Rose tried to shake off the hand that had grabbed her pale hands.
“That was the opposite hand. So just come along quietly.”
“….”
Tommy’s voice was filled with annoyance. But strangely, Rose felt a sense of tenderness from him.
‘…Not that he’s being tender. I won’t say thank you.’

When I regained consciousness, everyone was sprawled out, exhausted.
“She’s awake,” Tommy, who made eye contact with me, said. Everyone turned their gaze toward me.
[“I’m sorry… I fainted again…”]
“I’m sorry… I fainted again…”
I was relieved that Heyna didn’t turn into an unresponsive character. At least I can apologize like this. I don’t know exactly what happened since I was unconscious, but it was probably Zion who carried me here, right?
“We were running around in a hurry, trying to escape, and somehow we ended up in front of the dining room.”
The place where we were now was in front of the dining room. So, we would soon meet the player.
‘Wait a minute.’
As I looked around, I suddenly noticed something strange.
‘Why is Rose still here…?’
According to the original story of LMM as per my writing, Rose should have separated from us around this point and hidden somewhere in the mansion.
Upon hearing the fact, the player suggests going together to find Rose, and the first chapter, ‘In Search of the Lost Rose’, begins. The process leading up to meeting the player was like a prologue.
‘What happens to the chapter if Rose is here?’
Since Rose, who should be found, was still here, it was as if Chapter 1 had disappeared.
‘Wait, the player who is playing the game is me!’
As the player of the game, I have become the character, Heyna. Then who is the other player here? If I meet another player besides myself, will something change?
“Shall we go in?”
Before I could finish my thought, Zion pushed open the restaurant door.
‘Wait, I’m not mentally prepared yet…!’
I wanted to grab him, but my body didn’t move on its own. It felt as if something was holding me back, preventing me from avoiding another encounter with a different player.
Against my will, I found myself following behind Zion.
“Hey, it’s so dark that I can’t see anything.”
Unlike the corridor, which had some faint lighting, the dining room was shrouded in complete darkness.
“Well, I don’t know what it is, but it’s probably best to leave,” Rose said with an uneasy voice. At the same time…
Clang!
With a loud noise, the dining room door closed.
[Decreasing mental state by 1.]
Internally, I screamed.
‘I hate loud devices the most!’
Loud devices refers to a common term used among horror game enthusiasts, meaning ‘something that makes a loud noise and opens with a bang when a specific object is brought near.’ In other words, it’s a device that startles people with a loud noise.
Loud devices often appear in horror games or horror-themed escape rooms, and it is one of the reasons why I dislike horror games.
“What the… what is it?”
“What’s going on?”
“Darn it, the door won’t open!”
Tommy grabbed the doorknob and pulled with all his strength, but the door didn’t budge.
“Let me try.”
“I’ll help too…!”
Even with Zion and Rose clinging to it, the door remained motionless.
“What do we do? Are we trapped here?”
Before Rose finished speaking, to everyone’s horror, the lights on the dining room’s walls suddenly turned on. As the view suddenly brightened, everyone furrowed their brows.
There was a sense of unease.
In fact, even before entering the dining room, something in my mind was screaming that it was dangerous. If I could do something, I didn’t want to come in here at all. Gradually, my eyes adjusted to the light. The things inside the dining room began to come into view.
“Huh?”
“That is…”
In a row, there were marble sculptures and a dazzling chandelier made of diamond decorations. Below it, on a table covered with a red tablecloth, were appetizing dishes. There was a fresh salad still glistening with moisture. A stew with plenty of meat and vegetables. A perfectly medium-rare steak that was juicy and tender.
Each dish looked delicious.
“What is all this?”
“Can we eat this?”
It felt as if they had known in advance that we would come here and prepared everything. Although the atmosphere was suspicious, we were all starving, having wandered around the mansion without eating a single meal all day…
