I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 26
Chapter 26
Zion hesitated with a flustered expression. After contemplating for a while, he cautiously spoke up, “I haven’t experienced liking someone romantically yet. But if I were to have an ideal type, I think it would be someone… whom I want to protect.”
Zion’s ideal type is someone he wants to protect?
‘So, that’s why my favorability increased earlier.’
I realized the reason why his favorability increased when Zion suspected me and I told him I was hurt.
Good.
Now I know the ideal types of all three people.
The reason I asked about their ideal types was to figure out how to increase their favorability. As the hidden villain, I needed to raise everyone’s favorability to achieve the true ending without arousing suspicion. That way, they would support me in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
‘And the fact that Zion didn’t press me further despite suspecting me must be due to his favorability.’
By raising their favorability, I could easily escape suspicion in critical situations.
‘As for Tommy, since he didn’t say anything, I’ll overlook him for now. Based on the ideal types they each revealed, I should maximize their favorability.’
For Rose, I can choose an option that shows I understand her inner thoughts. For Zion, I need to portray a helpless and gentle side that makes him feel like he wants to protect me.
‘As for Dekir…’
I probably don’t need to be conscious of him.
“What about you, Heyna?”
“Huh?”
“Now that we’ve all spoken, it’s your turn, Heyna.” Dekir said.
Dekir’s sudden request shook me. But at the same time, I felt excited. Could it be that he was interested in me?
“I… I like someone reliable, someone I can trust and rely on. And they must never tell lies. Even if they are my ideal type, if I catch them lying, they’re out.”
Upon hearing my words, both Dekir and Rose spoke up.
“That’s right. Trust is more important than anything else.”
“I feel the same way as Heyna. I hate people who lie the most!”
Rose, with her red hair still slightly damp, spread her hair out like the setting sun as she rested her head on my lap.
“I suddenly thought of something. Remember when they said we could escape this place by defeating the villain?” Darkness cast a shadow over Rose’s previously bright blue eyes. “Does that mean we have to kill them?” she asked with a melancholic voice.
I nodded in response, and Rose hesitated to continue. It seemed she didn’t want to accept the fact that if one of us were the villain, we would have to kill that person.
“Don’t worry, Rose. There’s no way any of us is the villain,” I reassured her, although it hurt my conscience as the villain myself. But at that moment, I wanted to reassure Rose.
“Really?”
“Yes, and even if one of us were the villain…”
“Even if…?”
“Escaping doesn’t solely depend on defeating them. Even if someone is the villain, we can carry them around and find a way to achieve a happy ending.”
Upon hearing my playful tone, Rose’s eyes, as bright as the sky, lit up, and she giggled like a child.
“Hey. If you were a guy, I’d totally consider you my ideal type,” she whispered in my ear.
[Rose’s favorability towards ‘Heyna’ increased by 1.]
I didn’t consciously say anything to increase favorability, but somehow, my lips curled into a smile. It was a pleasant feeling to receive someone’s favor.
* * *
Late at night, when everyone was asleep, I flipped the blanket over my head and checked the system information.
[Heyna Blaise- Player ○○○]
Health: 100/100
Mental State: 150/200
My health remained at 100, and my mental state had decreased by 50. Despite being physically exhausted from a hectic day, my health hadn’t budged at all. It made me wonder if the displayed health didn’t reflect my actual condition.
It seemed that once the mental state decreased, it wouldn’t recover. Based on the previous information, when my mental state reached zero, I would lose consciousness, and upon regaining consciousness, it would recover.
‘Fortunately, I have 200 mental state,’
When my mental state was at 10, I would lose consciousness frequently. Since synchronizing with the game, I haven’t lost consciousness even once. Moreover, I could speak and act according to my own will.
Come to think of it, the frequency of mental state decrease seemed to have decreased more than expected. When I escaped from the severed hand, my mental state decreased by 1 continuously.
However, during the hide-and-seek game, even though it was a situation where my mental state should have continuously decreased, I remained fine.
‘Is this also thanks to synchronization?’
Currently, the synchronization rate between me and Heyna is 20%. I wondered what would happen if it reached 100%. I’ll think about that when the synchronization rate increases.
I closed the ‘My Information’ screen and opened the menu.
