I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 19
Chapter 19
Still, there was no reason not to choose it when they offered additional rewards.
‘Tommy seems to want to hide here…’
I didn’t feel the same way.
Just like Rose said, the closet was too dirty, and as Zion mentioned, there would be no place to escape if we were caught.
‘Let’s eliminate Tommy as an option for now.’
I stood between Tommy and Rose, who were still fighting.
“Both of you, stop. It’s not the time for us to fight among ourselves.”
Tommy was still defiant, but Rose softened her expression and nodded.
“Yeah, Heyna’s right. It’s not the time to argue.”
“Who’s responsible for wasting our time…!”
“Tommy, calm down. Since you seem to like this place, you hide here, and we’ll go out and see if there’s anywhere else we can hide.”
Upon hearing my words, Tommy clicked his tongue and licked his lips.
“Fine, just get lost.”

As we went a little further, we came across another room.
This time, it was an abandoned weapon storage room filled with rusty metal armor and weapons. Zion tapped the metal armor on a knight model and quickly put it on.
“Zion, are you trying to pretend to be a knight by wearing that…?”
“That’s right, Heyna. It fits me perfectly.”
After putting on the armor and even the helmet, Zion pushed aside the model and stood in its place.
“Indeed, it really looks like a real knight when you put it on like this.”
“Oh, Dekir, can you give me that sword over there?”
“This one?” Dekir handed Zion a sword that was still sharp.
Zion immediately fastened the sword to his side.
“I’ll resist with this if the seeker catches me.”
As expected from Zion, it was a good idea that suited his character as a tactician with quick thinking and strategic judgment. However, I didn’t choose Zion as my partner.
There were two reasons for that. The first was that he was suspicious of me, and the second was…
‘He probably couldn’t withstand that heavy armor for five minutes.”
Rose and Dekir must have had the same thought as me because they came out of the room together.
Now, there were only two choices left. Hide with Rose, or hide with Dekir. Choosing one of them was not a problem that required much consideration.
‘Of course, I’ll choose Dekir rather than Rose.”
Rose was a character who couldn’t provide much help to the player in difficult situations. So, hiding with Dekir would increase my chances of survival more than hiding with Rose.
I was about to call Dekir, but before that, Rose whispered in my ear.
“Heyna.”
“What’s wrong, Rose?”
“Um… Would you mind… hiding with me?”
“…Huh?”
“I’m scared to be alone. Heyna, I think I’ll be fine if I’m with you…”
Rose, who was normally strong-willed, unexpectedly spoke in a weak voice and looked at me, her shaking eyes telling me how much she had struggled before making this request.
“….”
After contemplating for a moment, I eventually turned my gaze away from Rose.
‘I have no choice.’
Unless there was a save point, I had to survive no matter what. So I couldn’t grant Rose’s request.
“I’m sorry, Rose.”
After a brief apology to Rose…
“Dekir, would you like to hide with me?”
I reached out my hand to Dekir.
“Huh?”
“Dekiru, I feel safe when I’m with you.”
[‘Dekir’ has become your partner.]
[‘Dekir’s favorability towards ‘Heyna’ has increased by 1.]
[‘Rose’s favorability towards ‘Heyna’ has decreased by 1.]
Rose turned around and headed back the way she came after I rejected her.
‘I’m sorry, Rose. Right now, my own survival comes first.’
Now, time was running out.
[00:59]
With less than a minute left, Dekir and I held hands and ran to find a hiding place.
There’s no suitable place, so we opened and closed a lot of doors, but we finally found a nice place.
“This is…”
Behind a small door, there was a dome-shaped garden. Unlike the dim interior of the mansion, the garden behind the transparent glass was filled with warm sunlight.
It’s been so long since I’ve seen this kind of light.
Feeling the gentle warmth on my skin, my heart relaxed a bit.
“Let’s hide in the bushes!”
I led Dekir to the rose vine behind the bushes. Conveniently, there were large pruning shears and a watering can filled with water nearby.
‘I could use these gardening shears as a weapon if necessary.’
“If the seeker finds us, we can spray the water from the watering can and run away. Or use these shears…”
I raised the well-sharpened shears in the air and made a cutting motion. Each movement of the shears created a chilling friction sound.
“Here, give it to me. I’ll hold onto it.”
“Huh? No, I can hold it.”
“It’s dangerous.”
Dekir gently smiled and reached out his hand. His soothing voice and persuasive tone made my heart pound, which felt out of place in the current situation.
[00:00]
A loud musical sound signaled the end of the timer. The grating noise of the high-tone music, which made me grimace just by listening to it, sounded like classical music or a school bell.
After the music stopped…
<Hide and seek~ Show me your head.>
This time, the seeker’s singing voice echoed through the air. The source of the voice was unclear, but it felt as if someone was singing right next to my ear.
Are the others hearing the same voice?
‘Tommy and Zion should be fine, but what about Rose…?’
Now I regret leaving Rose alone.
“Heyna, are you okay?”
Dekir asked, his voice filled with concern as he tightly held my hand.
“Yes, I’m fine.”
I felt slightly relieved by his warm touch and the concern he showed, even in a situation where the seeker could appear at any moment.
“I think you’re worried because you left Rose alone.”
Dekir accurately guessed my thoughts.
“How did you know?”
