I Grabbed the Tyrant’s Heart - Chapter 233
The strongest one on this battlefield right now is me.
“Move!”
I cleared a path, swinging my sword as though the battlefield were my stage, making a way for the reinforcements.
A legion in shining white armor, so bright it seemed impossible to maintain on a battlefield, tried to narrow the path I created. The pristine armor was more shocking than their numbers.
It’s good when armor is clean, but in this situation, too?
Even if they cast magic, something still feels off. The Southern Empire Emperor is definitely a lunatic and a pervert.
Finally, after managing to contact the reinforcements, I saw flags fluttering from the enemy side, trying to surround us.
Good!
“Lady.”
Sir Gilton, who had followed me, whispered.
“Go ahead.”
Five commanders led their units, splitting into five directions. I remained alone.
The reason for this was that with my power, having soldiers to command would only be a hindrance. Tess didn’t like this plan, but it was more convenient for me this way.
“Uwack!”
“Kuh!”
Groans and screams of pain began to ring out from all directions, but now they were merely background noise. That didn’t mean the discomfort lessened.
The desire to end this war quickly surged, and I coldly struck down the Southern Empire soldiers, who seemed determined to become sacrifices.
The reinforcements’ leader led the soldiers skillfully. The number of enemy soldiers surrounding the castle significantly decreased.
At this point, they should have retreated. But why?
The battle, which started in the morning, showed no sign of ending even by noon. As the hot sun blazed down, it seemed like everyone was slowing down, exhausted.
Do the Southern Empire soldiers really intend to hold out until the end?
“Let’s win!”
I raised my dark sword high and shouted, and responses echoed from all around.
“Let’s win!”
“Long live the Northern Empire!”
Our army, clad in gray armor, seemed like they were under some kind of spell, ferociously cutting down the enemy again and again.
Because of what I had just done, I became a target again, but I didn’t falter. I continued to shout loudly in between, raising the morale of the soldiers.
Physical fatigue didn’t build up much. What drained me was the mental pressure.
I can’t break, I can’t break.
It felt like I was standing on the edge of a cliff, facing these soldiers.
“Let’s fight! Let’s win!”
I would shout to motivate myself.
While continuously swinging my sword, I locked eyes with a Southern Empire soldier.
His eyes were cloudy, strange. I wanted to take a closer look, but he tried to stab his sword into my horse, so I had no choice but to decapitate him.
Once I saw him, more like him appeared.
This is strange.
There were more than one or two soldiers with hazy, dazed eyes.
It’s natural to hesitate in fear, but these people, as if they had already decided to die, threw themselves onto the tip of my sword. No matter how I looked at it, they were strange.
The sky was clear and fresh, but the discomfort wrapping around my body grew thicker with each passing moment.
Boom!
The ongoing battle, where both sides sought to thin each other’s ranks, was interrupted by a harsh, eerie horn blast.
I looked around, trying to find the source of the sound, and a huge shadow passed over me. I immediately recognized what it was, but I refused to acknowledge it.
It couldn’t be. It shouldn’t be.
An ominous feeling swept through me.
Someone shouted.
“It’s a dragon!”
They say ‘doubt will make you fall.’ but a dragon?
Dragons are neutral, right? Ber probably didn’t lie about that.
Is Tess coming out? Does this mean the Southern Emperor will show up? Is he nearby?
A flurry of thoughts crossed my mind, but I quickly tightened my grip on my sword.
I had to deal with the dragon, no matter what. I couldn’t let Tess get involved in this fight.
As I cut down the Southern Empire soldiers swarming around me like ticks, I thought about how to handle the huge creature hovering in the sky.
Meanwhile, my body was being pushed back in the opposite direction of the castle.
“What’s going on?”
It wasn’t because there were too many people. The soldiers in white armor were pushing me in a specific direction.
“What the-“
I tried to break free, but I couldn’t move through the dense mass of white soldiers. I ruthlessly struck down those in my way, but the soldiers kept filling the space like a swarm of ants.
Crunch!
Something like a spiderweb suddenly enveloped me.
I tried to cut it with my sword, but before I could, chains tightened around my torso.
“A, trap…”
Just as I had expected, they bound me with double the chains.
The person holding the chains pulled me forcefully, and despite gripping my horse tightly with my legs, I was dragged down. I felt a thud as I hit the ground, only to be swiftly lifted again and placed onto someone’s horse.
There were few who could overpower me, so the identity of the rider wasn’t hard to guess. With that knowledge, a sense of immense unease washed over me.
I tried to use magic to cut the webbing, but it was useless.
Damn, it’s a specially crafted net.
In my panic, I tried to cast a large-scale spell, but I was struck in the back of my neck.
“Euseniel!”
The shout calling my name faded into the darkness, slipping beyond my consciousness.

13: The Emperor of the Southern Empire (1)
Ugh, my neck hurts.
The physical pain, so unfamiliar after so long, was strange, so I stayed still for a moment to get used to it.
My whole body felt as if it had been pummeled, and I felt like I was sinking, my limbs heavy, especially my left wrist.
Ah, I’ve been captured.
Realizing the situation, I tried hard to open my heavy eyelids.
Blink.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I felt the presence of someone nearby. I quickly shut them again, but I think they saw.
“Are you awake?”
A voice, kind and soothing.
