Chapter 31.2
‘Come to think of it, I’ve only been able to make different types of lattes since I’ve been here.’
Coffee offered a variety of options depending on how the main ingredients were combined. These main ingredients include espresso, water, milk, milk foam, cream, and chocolate. For instance, mixing espresso and water would create an Americano, while mixing espresso and milk creates a cafe latte, and adding cream on top of espresso makes it a cafe con panna. In addition, various coffees could be made by combining main ingredients in different ratios.
However, the main ingredients used in this world were only espresso, water, and milk. It was natural since there were no steamers to froth the milk. Moreover, no additional ingredient like sugar was added.
As a result, the menu was limited. So, the coffee she could drink here was limited to espresso, Americano, and café latte.
Of course, April was happy just to have coffee. If there were no coffee, she would have lived in a strange world without the joy of life. Still, if possible, she wanted to drink a variety of coffees like the ones she had in her previous life.
‘I can’t wait for the steamer to be finished.’
As April was savoring the taste of cappuccino, Hannah suddenly asked a question.
“Oh, by the way, Miss April. Where are you planning to open the cafe? Naturally, you’ll open it on Beris Street, right?”
Beris Street was an especially bustling area in the highly developed capital with bars, coffee houses, and cafes, especially frequented by the aristocrats. However, April couldn’t immediately respond. As soon as she heard Hannah’s question, she was engulfed in shock.
‘Oh my goodness, I hadn’t even thought about the café location.’
Even though she had recruited Sophia and Hannah to create the cafe menu, she had forgotten the most important thing.
“Miss April?”
April could only smile awkwardly at Hannah, who called her with a puzzled expression.

“Are you worried about something?”
That night, Claude suddenly asked as he watched her diligently brewing hand-drip coffee.
April, who had never expected him to ask such a question, stared at him blankly, forgetting even to pour the coffee. The thin stream of water stopped flowing from the kettle.
Claude raised his eyebrows.
“Your hands have stopped.”
“Ah…”
‘Oh, my God, I can’t believe I’m thinking about something else with coffee right in front of me.’
April reflected and began to brew coffee again. But in truth, she had been preoccupied with other thoughts even before Claude spoke to her. More precisely, she had been deep in thought since parting ways with Hannah.
Perhaps sensing her pensive expression, Claude asked her again.
“What’s the matter?”
Now, his tone conveyed a certainty that she indeed had something on her mind.
‘Well, he’s right.’
Just as the coffee finished dripping, April sighed softly. She filled a cup with coffee and handed it to him.
“I remembered something I’d forgotten.”
To be precise, it would be more accurate to say she hadn’t even thought about it in the first place.
Claude raised one corner of his mouth while holding his coffee cup.
“What could possibly be bothering your little head? You didn’t seem to have any worries.”
Hearing his comment about living without any thoughts, April became irritated.
“I have concerns, too.”
“Yeah, let’s say so. So, what is it?”
“Well… it’s because of the cafe preparation.”
Taking a sip of coffee, he tilted his head slightly.
“What’s the problem? I heard you’ve hired a baker, and Hannah Turner is helping too, isn’t she?”
“I was forgetting the most important thing.”
“Hmm?”
“Despite hiring Sophia and Hannah, as the Duke said, I forgot to think about the most important thing, which was the cafe location. If we want to open the cafe as soon as possible, we need to find a building and decorate the interior.”
“Didn’t Lloyd tell you?”
“About?”
While Claude set down his coffee cup, lost in thought, April suppressed the urge to prompt him and instead sat across from him.
‘What is it? What is it? What is it?’
She asked with her eyes. However, whether Claude didn’t sense her intense gaze or not, he didn’t provide any further explanation.
“It seems like you didn’t know.”
Instead, he suggested this.
“Do you have time tomorrow? No, you must make time even if you can’t. You have to go with me to Beris Street.”
And so, the next day, April found herself heading to Beris Street, not knowing what was going on.
