Chapter 30.2
“Thirty minutes?”
“Yes.”
“Alone, without Hans’s help?”
“Yes.”
The child’s voice grew quieter as he sensed something was wrong. However, Claude showed no particular reaction.
“I didn’t know you had such reckless tendencies to you.”
He simply said that.

April had been making Claude drip coffee every night since the first time she made it for him. However, considering the condition of her arm today, it seemed like drip coffee would be difficult. Instead, she made an espresso. Then, she prepared ice, milk, dalgona cream, and dalgona and headed to Claude’s office.
‘ worked hard on developing a new menu, so I should let Claude taste it too.’
…She rationalized it to herself.
Her arm was hurting, so she couldn’t even lift the tray. As she pulled a mobile trolley and went into the study, Claude, who seemed to be waiting as if he knew, asked as he handled documents.
“Have you always been reckless like that?”
Hearing that he sounded a little surprised, April responded bluntly.
“Are you trying to say I’m ignorant?”
Claude smirked.
“I didn’t mean it that way, but it seems you consider yourself ignorant.”
‘Hmmph!’
April suppressed her anger. Despite the fact that she wanted to argue, she couldn’t bring herself to rebut. There was a certain ignorance in this matter, even in her own opinion.
Instead of replying, she pursed her lips and made coffee.
The coffee she was going to make today was two types: dalgona coffee and dalgona latte.
First, she made dalgona coffee. The only fortunate thing was that Hannah had cast a preservation spell, so the dalgona cream remained thick even after some time had passed.
‘I didn’t know she was an alchemist and a wizard.’
Anyway, she completed the dalgona coffee by layering dalgona cream on top of milk with ice before she piled dalgona on top of milk and poured espresso over it to complete the dalgona latte.
When she set the two cups down in front of Claude, he frowned slightly.
“It’s sweet drinks.”
“It’s a drink I stirred up by my ignorance, so shouldn’t I show it to the Duke at least once?”
“I doubt that’s necessary, but this is a surprising result.”
In truth, she had brought extra espresso and water with the intention of making an Americano instead if Claude said he couldn’t drink it. However, to her surprise, he readily picked up the dalgona coffee.
He stirred it roughly, took a sip, and chuckled.
“Isn’t this a kid’s drink? I think Asher would like it if I gave it to him.”
“Asher can’t have it because it has coffee in it.”
“Why can’t he have it if it has coffee?”
“That’s, caffeine…”
‘Oops, they don’t have the concept of caffeine here yet.’
April, who realized it belatedly, waved it off vaguely as she opened her mouth again.
“Coffee is bitter. It would feel like taking medicine for Asher.”
Fortunately, Claude was convinced.
“I see.”
This time, he drank the dalgona latte.
“This is somewhat drinkable.”
It was probably because the dalgona hadn’t dissolved completely, so it wasn’t as sweet.
Unlike the uproarious comments, those were all his evaluations. However, April didn’t bother to ask, ‘Is that all?’ It was because she had no intention of hearing food reviews from him anyway.
Claude gulped down the dalgona latte as if he were drinking medicine, and then he pointed his finger towards her.
“Come closer for a moment.”
Instead of asking why, April approached him.
All of a sudden, he grabbed her right arm. His hand, touching her tender skin, felt rough due to calluses, and it was surprisingly warm, enough to furrow her brows. Even though she had been escorted by holding hands before, the sensation of holding his hand and him grasping the delicate flesh inside her wrist felt different.
Claude’s fingertips traced the inside of her wrist as if he were taking her pulse, and suddenly, he pressed down hard somewhere.
“Ah!”
As April cried out in sudden pain and quickly covered her mouth with her other hand, his fingers pressed harder and moved up her arm. Rather than it being strange—it hurt! This ignorantly strong man couldn’t even control his strength properly.
Eventually, with tears streaming down her cheeks, April protested.
“It hurts! What on earth are you doing?”
It was only then that Claude’s grip loosened slightly.
“It’s to relax the tight muscles.”
