Chapter 13.1
He didn’t say a word afterwards, but April felt as if she could hear him murmuring, “If you speak now, I’ll spare your life.” Still, it was unfair. But even if she told the truth here, it didn’t seem like he would believe her about knowing nothing.
Despite tightly sealing her lips, his questions persisted as the grip on her wrist intensified, surpassing its previous strength and causing her pain. The pressure was becoming unbearable, reaching a point where bruises would likely surface if this continued.
“I don’t have much patience, so it’s better to be wise for you to speak up. How on earth did you make me sleep?”
…Sleep?
When did she put him to sleep?
It was the first time she had heard about this. If she would die regardless of saying she didn’t know or remaining silent, then she would speak the truth and die.
April exclaimed desperately.
“I, I really don’t know!”

Taking a seat in the chair, April fixated her gaze on the people standing before her as though she were a criminal. Claude, Lloyd, and the hastily summoned wizard stood in front of her, peering down with a scrutinizing gaze as if they were dissecting her every move.
The first to speak was the wizard.
“Did you ask if this young lady has magical abilities?”
April shook her head slightly while looking into the eyes of the wizard.
‘…Say no.’
If that happened, it would reveal that ‘April Renoen’ has magical powers.
Under such circumstances, there was a possibility that Claude, driven by his perplexity, might resort to killing her. His anger seemed to stem from her utilization of magic for some reason. Despite the disparity in motives, it appeared that the outcome would mirror that of the original… an outcome she fervently wished to evade at all costs.
Nevertheless, the wizard wasn’t on her side. He clearly saw the desperation in April’s eyes but pretended not to and nodded his head.
“It’s possible. Shall I find out?”
“Yes.”
“Lady, could you lend me your hand for a moment?”
April gave up everything and held out her right hand.
‘Still, having magical abilities and being able to use magic’ are different things…’
All the while comforting herself like that.
The next moment, the light emanating from the wizard’s hand swept across various parts of April’s body. When the once blinding light completely vanished, the wizard exclaimed in admiration.
“Hoo.”
Under the robes, his eyes sparkled with an indiscernible mix of curiosity and curiosity.
“What do you think?”
The wizard replied in an excited voice.
“She’s a wizard with white attributes! She’s one of the rare magicians with this unique attribute, with only a few among a hundred wizards possessing it. ”
Unlike the wizard, who was greatly filled with excitement, Claude remained calm. No, if anything, the atmosphere seemed to have become more ominous.
“White attribute magic? I’ve heard that it specializes in healing magic.”
“Yes, that’s right. The white attribute is similar to divine power and exhibits excellent effects in healing magic.”
Claude leisurely stroked his chin, his gaze sweeping over her form as he absorbed the wizard’s remarks. In the meanwhile, April’s fists clenched tightly on her knees, her posture as tense as a cat poised before a mouse.
“But, is it possible to use magic without learning it?”
‘Please tell me that it’s possible. I have never used magic before, nor have I learned it… If I have used magic, it must have been done subconsciously…’
April looked up at the wizard with even more desperate eyes this time.
Fortunately, he was on her side this time.
“It’s possible.”
“How is that possible?”
“Actually, that was what I wanted to tell you.”
>
His voice grew louder than before as he went on.
“This young lady possesses the most exceptional abilities among the white attribute wizards I’ve ever encountered.”
“Hm?”
“If someone possesses such skills, they can use magic even without learning it. They can manifest magic through sheer willpower alone.”
April asked, cautiously raising her hand.
“What do you mean by ‘sheer willpower’?”
“I suppose it could be wishing for people to be free from pain or hoping for nothing unusual to happen, especially considering the affinity for healing magic.”
“Ah…”
That was what she thought every time she made coffee.
May those who drink their coffee today be happy and have a safe day.
…Was that wish infused into the coffee?
