Rosé and Ferre held hands and stared blankly at the ceiling from the bed.
“Haaaa.”

Heavy sighs escaped them, hard to hold back like boulders.
“How could Heli Hyung do this to us?”
“Exactly. How could Heli Oppa do this to us? I helped them so much so they could get married!”
Rosé and Ferre puffed up their cheeks and puffed out their lips in frustration.
Despite trying to sleep, they were too upset and sad to fall asleep.
It was their first day being a family with Sera, and they thought they would naturally sleep together in one bed, but they were thoroughly rejected by Helios.
“No, how can Hyung think of keeping Sera all to himself?”
“Yeah, yeah. How nice would it have been if we all slept beside each other on a day like today!”
“Do you remember what Hyung said? Aheemmm. ‘Rosé. Ferre. Tonight might be a bit difficult… How about next time? Let’s all sleep beside Sera then.’”
Ferre dramatically mimicked Helios by flicking his head back with his hand.
Finding Ferre’s impression of their older brother amusing, Rosé laughed out loud with her shoulders vigorously shaking up and down.
“Yeah! That’s what I’m saying! They’re leaving for their honeymoon trip tomorrow, so ‘next time’ would mean a whole week later!”
That meant they wouldn’t be able to sleep beside Sera for an entire week.
It would have been decent of them to compromise for just one day, but how mean. Helios, upon getting married, seemed determined to have Sera all to himself.
“Should we just sneak out again?”
Rosé turned on her side and asked Ferre.
Ferre glanced quickly at the open door and then enthusiastically gave a thumbs up.
“Great idea!”
The first time was hard, but the second time was easier. Their skills at escaping were improving by the day.
The last time they got caught sneaking after Helios and Sera, it was because the bed had been empty.
So, they decided to use dolls to avoid getting caught easily this time.
They wrapped several dolls in blankets and sized them to match their own, hiding them under the quilt to make it look perfectly deceptive.
“Let’s go!”
“To see Sera!”
Rosé and Ferre gleefully jumped out the window.
Thanks to their rapidly improving magical skills, such feats were now a piece of cake.
Fortunately, they managed to reach the palace where Helios and Sera were together without incident.
Although they were repeatedly stopped by knights, claiming they had to deliver a special gift prepared for the newlyweds Sera and Helios helped them get through, albeit with some suspicion.
Moreover, unusually for today, there were hardly any knights or maids around the Imperial Palace.
The problem arose before they could even get upstairs to the room where the couple was staying.
The head of the guard, who should have been guarding the upstairs, was conspicuously stationed on the lower floor.
“What brings you here, Your Highnesses? It’s time you should be asleep.”
The head of the guard looked at the young prince and princess suspiciously.
Rosé and Ferre gulped, facing their biggest obstacle yet.
But with only one person in the way, it seemed like a manageable challenge, and Rosé signaled to Ferre.
“One.”
At the unknown signal, the head of the guard tensed up, feeling uneasy with years of experience.
“Two.”
“Three.”
And then Rosé and Ferre started running.
“Your Highnesses, no! If you go there…!”
The head of the guard also started running.

Helios slowly laid Sera on the bed.
Their touches became more intimate, and just as his hand reached to turn off the bedside lamp, they both paused.
Thump thump thump.
Huh?

It sounded like someone was running down the hallway.
“Helios, that noise outside… It’s not just me who can hear it, right?”
Sera hesitantly asked, not wanting to break the mood.
Clearly, he had ordered this floor cleared and only a minimum number of people to remain in the palace.
Helios nodded to the unending dadada noise.

“SERA! LET US SLEEP TOGEEETHEEERRR WITH YOUUUU!”
It turned out to be Ferre and Rosé running towards them.
Suddenly, Helios and Sera looked stunned.
Should they go out? What should they do? While they were pondering, another voice came through.
“I’m sorryyyyyy…!”
It was the head of the guard’s voice.
“No! I’m going to sleep together with Ferre and Sera!”
“How can only Hyung sleep together with Sera!”
The voices of Rosé and Ferre gradually faded away. Apparently, they had been caught by the head of the guard.
“The troublemakers are gone.”
Helios whispered into the relieved Sera’s ear.
Laughing, Sera’s neck received a particularly warm kiss, and then the lights went out.
Finally, it was their first night alone.
