I Became the Tutor of the Royal Twins - Chapter 246
Chapter 246

Despite Sera’s flushed face being incredibly tempting, Helios painfully distanced himself from her.
If he stayed any closer, he might give in to the urge to press further.
He needed to regain his senses quickly.
“Not much left now, shall we go up again?”
He deliberately turned away, looking up at the half-climbed staircase.
Perhaps counting each step as he climbed would ease this stifling feeling.
But then, at that moment.
“W…Wait, Heli!”
Sera caught the hem of his clothing.
He reflexively turned his head. Sera, her cheeks flushed to her ears, bowed her head deeply.
“I… I want to stay here a little longer.”
“Huh?”
“I… I’m still too tired to climb! I want to stay here a bit longer.”
Sera gripped his clothing tighter, as if to prevent him from leaving.
Her small, white hands trembled slightly.
Helios was no fool.
He was not so naive as to misunderstand that signal.
‘Even I would…’
He, too, felt a fluttering excitement, a warmth rising in his chest.
After hesitating for a moment with his lips tightly pressed together, he made a decision and stepped down one stair, his shoes clicking.
His ever-lovable beloved, who barely reached his chest, looked up at him with a shy face.

The magic lessons had paid off.
Rosé and Ferre demonstrated a perfect landing spell and managed to leave the palace annex safely, so smoothly that it was hard to believe they had jumped from a window.
Not being caught was a result of both luck and skill.
Just half a year ago, they had been escaping the eyes of knights and maids, so their skills hadn’t faded.
Their small statures also helped them go unnoticed.
The twins stealthily made their way to the tower without being detected.
They hid their bodies in a neatly trimmed, low bush, peering out with four pairs of eyes.
Two knights stood guard at the entrance of the tower, an unexpected obstacle that furrowed their brows.
“What should we do, Rosé?”
“Hmm… We need to distract them somehow.”
In the darkness, only their eyes shone as they pondered.
Then, they thought of a childish method, one that had once gotten them severely scolded by Helios.
“It’s risky…”
“But it’s the only way.”
Rosé and Ferre said in turn, clenching their fists as if making a resolve.
Rosé picked up a stone from the ground.
Quietly standing up, she threw the stone towards where the knights were looking, adding a bit of magic for good measure.
Thwack.
The stone hit a tree, causing the ginkgo tree to shake and drop its yellow leaves.
Voices of the startled knights were heard.
“What was that?”
“It’s too dark to see clearly, but something seemed to have flown by.”
The knights glanced around sharply.
As expected of people with keen observational skills, their piercing gazes quickly flew towards Rosé and Ferre’s hiding spot.
The twins hurriedly crouched down in the bushes. Fortunately, they weren’t noticed, and the knights’ attention soon shifted elsewhere.
“You stay here. I’ll go check what it was.”
“Got it.”
Rosé and Ferre let out a sigh of relief, their plan seeming to be working successfully.
One knight down. Now they just needed to deal with the other.
Just as they relaxed, their hiding spot suddenly brightened.
Startled by the sudden influx of light, the two looked behind them.
Not only their bedroom but the entire palace annex was brightly lit.
“We must’a been caught escaping!”
“Yeah!”
But they weren’t the only ones startled.
The lone knight guarding the tower entrance was also distracted by the sudden commotion in the Star Palace.
Seizing the moment, Rosé threw another stone in the distance.
As expected, the wary knight drew his sword, scanning the surroundings with fierce eyes and stepped away from the tower entrance.
“Now!”
Ferre whispered urgently, gripping Rosé’s hand. With the knight distracted, no one was blocking the tower.
Rosé and Ferre didn’t miss the opportunity and quickly dashed into the tower.
“Haa! Haa!”
“Did he fall for it?”
Whispering close to the wall, they listened to the knights outside.
“What happened?”
“Nothing. Probably just a cat. Didn’t find anything.”
“And here?”
“Nothing much. It’s the palace, after all. What big event could happen? Besides, it’s a date. We’re just supposed to watch. That’s all.”
‘Date?’
Rosé and Ferre’s eyes widened at that surprising word.
They had suspected, but hearing it from others felt different. They covered their mouths with both hands to stifle any sound.
The twins waited until their quiet giggles subsided, then lifted their heads, looking upwards.
They couldn’t hear what was being said, but they could indeed see Helios and Sera.
The atmosphere seemed serious, almost flirtatious.
It was a strangely mushy and embarrassing atmosphere, making their bodies shake in excitement.
Scratching each other’s arms in response to the pink, tingly feeling, Rosé and Ferre whispered.
“Let’s go up quietly, Ferre.”
Rosé murmured into Ferre’s ear.
Ferre nodded vigorously.
“Mm. Let’s go take a peek, Rosé.”
