Chapter 200

Though they already knew what Jean would answer, the children looked up at him with sparkling eyes.
“Me and Ferre wanna do that. The farewell party.”
Rosé blinked her wide eyes. With her silver hair fluttering, her small body trembled with excitement.
“Yeah, me and Rosé think it’ll be so fun to do a farewell party.”
While smiling widely, Ferre nodded vigorously, which shook his hair.
“If we make a farewell party for her, Sera’s gonna get so surprised and she’ll shout, ‘Oh my!’ right?”
“No no, Rosé. Sera’s gonna say, ‘Your Highnesses, I’m so touched!’ and she might even cry.”
“Haa. Then, Ferre, she’s gonna really…”
“…really like us!”
Both twins had sparkling imaginations.
Even just thinking about how Sera would cry because of how touched she was by their actions, an indescribable happy feeling poured into them.
“It’s gonna be so much better if Jean helps me and Ferre.”
“Yeah, yeah. Me and Rosé never went to a farewell party before, so if Jean helps, it’s gonna be so good.”
“Food’s the most important thing in a party, so I really want a cake like when we celebrate our birthdays.”
“We gotta decorate the place really nice, too!”
“It’ll be so much better if it’s a surprise, right?”
As Rosé and Ferre’s plans for the farewell party got bigger and bigger, Jean couldn’t help but be baffled.
“Um… But, Your Highnesses. A farewell party isn’t like a banquet, and we don’t have much time left for the preparations. I believe it would be enough to just give her your letter and sing a song…”
Before Jean could even finish saying his piece, the twins looked up with disgruntled stares. Their eyebrows were knitted at the center of each of their foreheads.
“Ab—”
“So—”
“Lutely—”
“Nooooooot!”
The twins turned away from him grumpily and shouted at the same time.
* * *
A little flustered, Helios showed an ambiguous smile.
He was waiting for Jean to bring back a report about the recent incident, but Jean came back with Rosé and Ferre perched on his shoulders.
“So, you want to hold a farewell party?”
He heard about it all from them. Thus, Helios confirmed once again what his younger siblings wanted to do for the first time.
Hearing their older brother’s low voice, the twins jumped off Jean’s shoulders.
“Yeah, yeah! Heli Oppa, a farewell party is comforting for the person who’s leaving. Won’t it be nice if we can hold one for Sera?”
“Heli Hyung, can we please, please, please hold a farewell party for Sera? It’s so sad that Sera’s just leaving. Please?”
Running straight towards him, they clung to Helios this time and pleaded.
Of course, their skill with pleading while clinging to his waist was not something they had practiced only once or twice before.
“Oppa. Farewell party. Please? Please allow it.”
“Heli Hyung. Pleeeeease?”
“Rosé. Ferre.”
Helios gently patted his younger siblings’ heads, which were nuzzling against him.
‘Farewell party, hm…’
Almost instantly, he felt a pang in the left side of his chest.
Was it because what he thought was just a vague future was now finally staring him in the face?
The fact that Sera was truly leaving finally hit him. He couldn’t understand the pain he was feeling.
Even so, that pain did not last long. It seemed to have gotten frequent, but they soon disappeared as if nothing had happened.
Helios looked up without a word. Still, his younger siblings clung to him adorably and acted cute while pleading.
Smiling softly at them, he stroked the twins’ chubby cheeks with his fingers.
“Alright. I think that’s a good idea.”
From his point of view, there was no particular reason for him to turn down the suggestion.
Rather, considering all the hard work Sera had done until now, he wanted to agree wholeheartedly that a farewell party should be thrown for her. Thus, he gave his permission.
“Thank you, Heli Oppa!”
Hearing his words, Rosé and Ferre smiled broadly.
“I knew it, Hyung is the best!”
The twins made small hearts with both hands each, showing them to him. It must be another cute gesture that they learned from Sera.
He let out a lighthearted laugh.
“Besides that, don’t tell me you’re going to prepare the party all by yourselves? Instead, can you tell me what you want to do?”
His younger siblings seemed to be more excited about doing something for Sera rather than the farewell party itself.
“I wanna make something like a garland and wrap a gift for Sera prettily!”
“And I wanna make a melon cake for Sera!”
They answered back excitedly.
“A cake won’t be easy to make.”
“Jean’s going to help!”
“Yeah! Jean said he’ll help!”
“Jean will?”
Rosé and Ferre quickly turned their heads and looked at Jean.
Looking at the twins’ pleading eyes, Jean nodded with a long sigh.
“Um… I decided to help Their Highnesses prepare for the farewell party, Heli.”
Jean scratched the back of his neck, feeling a drop of sweat trickle down the side of his face.
Seeing how thrilled the twins were, Helios smiled broadly at Jean for being there to help them.
He was worried about whether Jean would be able to deal with the children well, but it seemed like there wouldn’t be any troubles if he attached handmaids to them as well.
“Then, there’s no problem.”
“But Oppa.”
Rosé tugged at Helios’s sleeve. He turned to her with a smile, wordlessly asking her what’s wrong.
“There’s something that Oppa has to do.”
“Something I have to do?”
Helios didn’t think that he would be playing a role in the farewell party as well, and so he tilted his head to the side in confusion.
“It’s gotta be a surprise party, so please stay with Sera for about three hours! Go a liiittle far away while we’re getting everything ready.”
“Yeah, yeah. Please take care of Sera so she doesn’t notice! Hyung needs to help with this.”
It’s not as if Sera wouldn’t notice at all.
However, Helios couldn’t say no to the glimmering, expectant eyes of his younger siblings as they clasped their hands together in prayer.
Smiling helplessly, he let out a sigh.
“Heli Oppa, won’t you help us? Please?”
“Hyuuuung, this is the most important thing. Please?”
Helios thought that Sera would prefer to be with the children instead.
At this thought, Helios hesitated for a moment, but he soon nodded.
“It… can’t be helped.”
Inwardly, he felt that it wouldn’t be bad to be alone with her. Rather, he felt a little excited…
No. Helios shook his head at the sudden thought that popped into his mind.
It was definitely an emotion that would trouble everyone involved if it were to be revealed.
