Chapter 41
Translator: effe

“Gasp. No way. Crazy. Calm down, Eden.”

She shuddered at the thought of being ridiculed for the rest of her life, perhaps until she died. Eden decided to come to her senses.

Yes. What he had just done was an act that could hardly be called a kiss. Didn’t Walter also say that? It doesn’t matter if they rub their lips or crotches.

They fought with whatever they could get their hands on. But this time they only fought with their lips and tongues. If that’s the case, she could bite his tongue when he was stirring in her mouth so why didn’t she think of that?

“…….”

She tried to analyze the cause of her defeat by looking back at the situation from just before, but it was not a good idea. Eden’s nose slightly reddened at the thought of the time he kissed her. The feeling of their tongues mingling and stroking each other’s bumps, and the sound of Walter’s husky voice calling out to her as he licked her saliva seemed to be stuck in her mind.

Physical contact with Walter was something common. Attacking him by strangling or popping his joints painfully was something repetitive every day.

But as he squeezed her chest and butt, and rubbed her ribs hotly, the feeling in his hands was definitely different from usual. The moment she thought about it, the nip***s, which had been crushed between his knuckles, stood upright, her lower stomach was tingling, and her legs felt hot. She never imagined that Walter could use his hands so hotly.

“I’m going crazy, stop thinking about it!”

Eden slapped her wet hand on her cheek, and then went into a deep dive. And she walked out to the shore of the lake where there was no sign of Walter. It was clear that no further thought would give good results.

Under these circumstances, it seemed prudent to go back to the barracks and get some sleep. Eden, who was trudging toward the place where she hung up her clothes, stopped suddenly.

“… son of a b****h.”

Her clothes, which had apparently been hung on a tree branch, had all disappeared without a trace. Eden canceled all thoughts about him that she just had while looking at the red moon. Walter Sernotti was just an incorrigible, ignorant idiot.

“I will kill you, Walter Sernotti!!!”

As she shouted loudly to the mountain, the mountain birds that had been dozing off fluttered and flew high into the night sky.

Flutter. Flutter.

Long leaves resembling Walter’s lips flew everywhere.

***

Even after the night when Eden returned to the castle with a bunch of leaves attached to her naked body, she and Walter behaved as usual. At the table, they had a bloody fight over each other to eat more, and spent all of the day training until they were exhausted except for eating and sleeping.

But they no longer bathed together by the river, nor did they fight naked in hand-to-hand combat. The reason why they do not go outside is because the weather is getting colder. That was the only reason. There couldn’t be any other reason, and there shouldn’t have been.

However, on the night of the full moon, she couldn’t stop banging her head against the unpleasant memories that suddenly came to her mind.

“What’s wrong, Eden?”

Eden frowned at Cedric, who was cutting a large piece of bread exactly the size of two fingers.

“… what.”

Eden replied curtly, holding her head tightly with both hands. It was at the hall where all the trainees gathered together for a meal. A round moon peeked out from the window that had been carved in the wall.

The reason why the full moon looks so cunning today must be because of the guy who calmly sips soup under the moonlight, Walter Sernotti. It’s not even hot, yet he’s taking one spoon every time. Savage bastard. Bad guy.

“I’m asking why are you suddenly hitting your head like a madman after you’ve finished eating? Maybe you ate some weird mushroom or something.”

Cedric looked at her and raised his gray eyebrows crookedly. Eden looked at him and her eyes flashed.

“No it’s not. It’s just a bad thought that suddenly came to my mind.”

“Hmm. As expected. I think you’ve finally gone crazy.”

Cedric’s face, who muttered as if talking to himself, was equally bad. As she let out a deep sigh, an even more unpleasant voice scratched her nerves from the other side.

“Can I help you?”

The voice was, of course, Walter Sernotti. The nasty fellow raised his fist at her with a nonchalant attitude.

“I can knock you out for a day or two so you don’t need to think about anything.”

At the far end of the table, Ayla, the youngest, silently blinked her big blue eyes. It was clear that if she got hit with one blow from a fist the size of Ayla’s head, the stars would really spin in front of her eyes.

“No thanks.”

Eden chewed her bread and glared at Walter, who sat across from her.

“You’re getting nosy, why are you helping people in a useless place?”

“… Then don’t offend people before your eyes.”

Walter shrugged his shoulders, catching her gaze. He had a calm face, but he couldn’t hide the disapproval in his narrowed eyes. Seeing his twisted lips as if he didn’t like anything else, something hot surged in Eden’s chest.

“Ha….”

She shouldn’t have seen his long lips. The events of that night, which she wanted to erase from her mind, began to play again.

“Oh, really!”

Bang, she banged her head painfully again, but to no avail. Her earlobes were burning, and heat was rising from the nape of her neck to her cheeks.

“Should I hit you?”

Walter stared at her, teasing her. If she continued to be conscious of him, it was only a matter of time before her whole face turned a blush, like a girl in love.

“Cedric!”

Eden let out a sigh and looked to the side, begging for help. Cedric, who was usually nagging, was not even helpful today. He was still concentrating on dividing his bread into 6 equal parts without an inch of error.

“What?”

“Could you shut up that nephew or some idiot?”

“Don’t let the food taste bad at mealtime, and both of you should be quiet. When I see you two fighting, it’s so childish that it annoys me.”
