Beast in the Woods, Deep in the Night - Chapter 34.1
Chapter 34.1
What Edgar took out of his pocket was a small box.
Christine let out a voice filled with emotion, surprised that he, who had always been so stubborn towards her, had prepared something for her.
“Did you… buy me a present?”
“Isaac asked me to deliver it.”
Well, of course. Christine felt ridiculous for spending a few days thinking he might imprint on her.
Edgar glanced at the box as if telling her to open it.
Inside the luxurious wooden box was a pearl necklace. In the middle was a platinum pendant that looked expensive at first glance.
Upon checking the contents, Edgar thought of Isaac, who had carefully given him this box.
“Edgar, I’ve heard that pearl jewelry is famous around this area.”
“… So?”
“You seem to be busy, so I used my knowledge to choose the one item I think looks the best. I also wanted to personally thank Miss Christine.”
Edgar didn’t ask why Isaac felt grateful to Christine.
However, he decided to give her the necklace as a reward for cleaning up the training grounds for the young chimeras that always messed it up and for spending time with them.
“I’ve never seen such a beautiful pearl necklace before.”
Seeing Christine giggling and looking at the necklace made him feel a little better.
However, she held out the necklace back to him, her eyes twinkling like a cat that had found a fish. It was unexpected for Edgar, who was watching her reaction with interest.
“I can’t accept it because I think it’s too expensive. I’ll just accept your heart.”
“I have no intention of giving my heart.”
Edgar pointed his chin at the chair in front of the dressing table. It was the chair where Christine had made the children sit one after the other to style their hair.
She sat down on the chair as he suggested. She could see both their reflections in the large mirror. The space that was just fun when she was with the children seemed to tighten with tension.
Edgar put the box with the necklace down on the dressing table for a moment and swept Christine’s hair away with his hands. She could feel that he was trying to be careful not to touch her roughly.
“…”
Christine swallowed dry. Every time his fingers gently stroked her long blonde hair, her heart fluttered. It was the first time she realized that having someone touch her hair made her feel strange.
When his fingertips occasionally brushed past her ears or the nape of her neck, her eyes would quickly move to see what kind of expression he was making.
“Hold it,” Edgar said as he lifted Christine’s blonde hair.
She obediently moved her hand to the back of her head. After twisting her hair around her finger a few times, he pulled the necklace out of the box. The cold necklace soon touched the nape of her neck.
“Ugh…”
She unconsciously let out a small groan as the metal touched her skin. His hands, which were about to fasten the hook of the necklace, slowed for a moment.
He held the pearl necklace that he had not yet fastened with one hand. Then, with darkened eyes, he glanced at Christine in the mirror.
Because she was holding her hair up, her ample chest and smooth neckline were particularly emphasized. Edgar traced her elegant neckline with his free hand. The traces he had left when they slept together had completely disappeared.
The moment his fingertips touched her and slowly flowed downwards, Christine clenched the hand that was lying on her lap. Every single hair on her neck seemed to concentrate on feeling his touch.
As he slowly caressed her neck, her lips became drier and drier. Only then did she fully understand what it meant to be in anguish.
“… Edgar.”
In the end, Christine opened her mouth first. Still holding her hair up, she glanced at his face.
The moment he realized that her cheeks and the corners of her eyes were slightly flushed, Edgar’s lower abdomen tightened. His mind was instantly immersed in the fantasies his instincts had created.
He imagined himself picking up Christine, who was wearing nothing but the necklace, and thrusting into her body, leaving his marks again on the nape of her neck.
Then, he imagined that even if the necklace was broken and the pearls rolled everywhere, they would not be able to stop the act. Christine, who was fully loosened up, would say that his thing was too much for her but still suck it inside her rather than letting go, making it impossible for him to stop first.
“…”
She tensed up as the look in his eyes became openly dangerous. It was the first time he had reacted like this even though it wasn’t her intention. Since when did his member start showing its nasty outline inside his pants?
She knew that the more she touched him and the more they shuffled with each other, the more her curse would subside, but for some reason, she did not have the courage to reach out to him.
She felt strangely nervous, and her ears were filled with the sound of her heart beating… It seemed to be because she was conscious that he was excited because of her.
She always found it unpleasant to face people who got excited just from looking at her, but strangely enough, it felt different this time. When she realized that he was lusting after her out of his own instincts, she felt a tingle deep in her heart.
It was the first time she felt something like this, so she thought she had to get out of this strange state quickly.
