An Extra Who Wants To Escape The Obsessive Male Lead - Chapter 110.1
Chapter 110.1
“…I feel impatient.”
Diello finally set aside his work and sat facing Redias.
“When I realized that Krua… was truly my fated one… my Ferro.”
When he realized they were bound by destiny, he had been overwhelmingly joyful. He thought that would be enough.
“It’s not enough. I want more.”
He slowly clenched his hand.
“There are no external obstacles between Krua and me now. And yet…”
He couldn’t finish his sentence. He wasn’t ready to tell him everything that had happened with her, not yet.
Their intimate moments belonged only to the two of them. He couldn’t bring himself to admit it: that she seemed unprepared, that he longed for her to come to him, to abandon all their complicated circumstances and simply be with him.
That he needed only her.
Whether or not she was truly his Ferro, he wished she would erase his lily mark and bind herself entirely to him. He yearned for a time when nothing else would matter.
He couldn’t voice those desires.
Redias quietly observed him before speaking.
“You wish to be closer to your wife.”
Diello gave a slight nod.
“I don’t know what to do.”
How could he approach her without startling her? How could he make her comfortable enough to accept him?
“Hmm…”
Redias tilted his head slightly.
From his perspective, this was a remarkable sight. Redias Argenta had watched Diello since childhood, observing how he suppressed his ruthless nature, feigning a fragile disposition.
The contrast between his pretense and true self was so stark that Diello became naturally adept at manipulating people. He would extract everything he wanted with his gentle facade, then discard and burn them mercilessly when they were no longer needed, just as he had done with the traitor, Mirta.
That was Diello Argenta.
Yet, to see him now, floundering in matters of the heart…
Redias smiled slowly. It wasn’t a bad change.
As head of the family, it was expected for Diello to be skilled in managing people. However, as an uncle, Redias was pleased to see his nephew reaching for a genuine connection.
And so, he made a decision.
“For matters of the heart, it’s best to consult an expert.”
Diello tilted his head slightly.
He knew Redias often listened to the romantic woes of the Argenta staff. Didn’t that mean he had already sought out an ‘expert’?
But Redias shook his head.
“I’m not talking about myself. I’m talking about Yuria.”
Diello’s eyes widened.
“My aunt…?”
Yuria was Redias’s wife.
She had cared for him alongside Redias since his childhood. However, it had been a long time since he’d seen her; his responsibilities as head of the family and Yuria’s rapidly declining health had kept them apart.
“Is she doing a little better these days?”
Diello’s voice softened involuntarily. When his own parents, the Duke and Duchess Argenta, had died, he hadn’t shed a single tear.
But Redias and Yuria were different. To him, they were like parents.
“Of course. She’s much better these days. She’ll be delighted if you visit.”
Redias spoke with a bright expression.
“In fact, Yuria has been wanting to visit the mansion. It’s just that with both of you being so busy, she hasn’t been able to bring it up easily.”
Diello’s face lit up at those words.
As a child, survival had been his primary focus, so he hadn’t fully realized how skilled Yuria was in matters of love. But one thing was certain: whenever Redias faced a romantic dilemma he couldn’t solve, he turned to Yuria for advice. He’d heard the staff say that her answers always came through.
“I suppose it would be good to take a break.”
Diello’s voice softened a little.
Redias nodded.
“After all, it’s not the tense atmosphere of the mansion, but a place where you spent some time recuperating peacefully in your childhood. It will help you relax.”
He paused, then added,
“Then, as for Madam—”
He needed to fabricate an excuse, as it wouldn’t do to bring Krua along for relationship advice.
But at that moment—
“Diello as a child?”
Both men froze at the clear voice that suddenly reached them.

Busy! So busy!
I think I finally understand what happens to a person when they work non-stop. My brain felt like it was melting. Still, the sense of accomplishment after finishing all that work was immense.
‘I pledge my loyalty to the new head.’
The three individuals from Alors, as Argenta’s intelligence department had reported, were well-qualified to manage the forest.
They held no animosity toward Argenta and were personable enough to bridge the divide between Argenta and the people of Alors. There was no indication they had accepted bribes, and while they were admittedly ambitious, they weren’t the type to engage in illegal acts for personal gain.
Above all, they valued life and were proficient in military strategy. This was enough.
‘I look forward to working with you.’
