Am I Allowed to Kill the Male Lead? - Chapter 28
Chapter 28

Pop!
I popped the cork off the champagne bottle.
“We’re getting good reactions from the comments.”
I even poured a glass for Bel, who took the drink with both hands, alternating his gaze between my face and the comments floating in the sky.
“Is there a fight happening?”
His expression was flustered.
“This is really good.”
“Eunha, the readers are attacking each other right now.”
“They could do it without the author.”
“I’ve never seen so many comments.”
“That’s right.”
“This doesn’t seem like a good reaction. Shouldn’t we mediate?”
I drank from the cup of victory. The alcohol was oh so sweet.
I had done it. Succeeded. Postponed the end of the world. I had finally caused the phenomenon of ‘characters moving on their own’.
“Now, there’s no need for the author.”
Whether this novel stops serializing or not, it’s up to me!
The storm raging outside hadn’t ceased, but it had definitely lessened.
I opened the terrace and stepped out, raising my middle finger to the sky.
“We don’t need you!”
Then, suddenly, tears welled up.
“No, we need you. Why did you even leave, we promised to finish the story. Huaaang…”
I collapsed against the railing. Bel rushed over and grabbed my shoulder.
“You, you seem drunk. The author… hasn’t completely left.”
Bel’s red eyes reflected the cloudy sky.
“The author will live on in our memories.”
“What’s the use if they’re not in front of my eyes. I’d take back all 64 chapters if it meant they would return.”
“You’re… too drunk…”
Bel silently wrapped his arms around my shoulders. Even amidst this, comments continued to flood in.
Regardless of their content, the sheer number of comments was proof that I had accomplished what the author couldn’t.
I had surpassed a god.
Bel comforted me while patting my back.
“Hmm, you get drunk even on just a whiff of alcohol, I forgot. I should have stopped you.”
Our demise had been delayed, if only slightly. We hadn’t achieved complete success against this irrational world yet.
But we had taken the first step, and quite successfully at that. It’s enough to celebrate.
So, I emptied my glass.
With the alcohol hitting me, my head spun wildly and a fever rose even in the midst of the storm.
Feeling hot, I started to shed my clothes while reaching out with an empty glass.
“Pour me a drink.”
He hastily averted his eyes from my body.
“No. Keep your clothes on.”
“What? Are you daring to tell the female lead not to undress while she’s drunk?”
I grabbed Bel’s collar and made a scene.
“Aren’t you looking properly? You should be scanning me up and down, enjoying it. Why don’t you give me another show of your macho charm?”
But anger fueling anger, grabbing Bel collar reminded me of the terrible thing he did in chapter 64.
We need to set things straight.
“Why were you fiddling with the tentacles?”
“That, that was…”
Bel openly panicked and quickly moved back. But I wasn’t someone to let go so easily. The female lead develops a special ability like a leech or tentacle to stick to the male lead when alcohol is involved.
I pushed him down to the floor and pounced.
Bel, perhaps feeling guilty for his sins, didn’t actively try to escape.
Instead, he apologized again.
“I’m sorry. I don’t even know why I did it. I’m not scared of the tentacles anymore, but…”
We went as far as reversing roles to overcome his fear of tentacles. Chapter 64 should have ended without any problems. This time, Bel wasn’t afraid of the tentacles. Now, at least for tentacle scenes, there won’t be any broadcasting accidents due to sadistic acts.
But then he made a different kind of fatal mistake.
“Why did you do that?”
Why did he play with the tentacles for so long, did he lose his marbles?
In that scene, Belzebuth was supposed to caress Yoo Eunha’s hair, showing his possessiveness. But instead, Bel reached out to those disgusting green things, captivated by their knobbly bumps.
Whether he felt pleasure or disgust from the tentacles yesterday, either way…
“I, yesterday…”
Bel looked up at me, then shyly bit his lip, thinking something.
“Yesterday… I was disrespectful to you.”
“What?”
What does that mean?
“Eunha, just hit me. It’s more familiar and comfortable for me.”
Bel suddenly requested pain and hatred. It seems he feels uneasy if not being hit. I poked his protruding Adam’s apple with my finger.
“While we’re at it, why did you skip the whipping again?”
I had no intention of hitting him. Thinking about it, it seemed like Bel had become more timid because of my constant beatings.
Oh, but why are there two Bels?
Suddenly, he was laying me down on the sofa.
Bel frowned, looking troubled.
“Even when you’re drunk, you don’t let things slide easily.”
From somewhere, a small, ornate glass bottle filled with red liquid appeared in front of me.
“It’s a potion. Drink it.”
We live in a fantasy world.
“Put it away. Bring the alcohol.”
I kicked the table over. The potion shattered, and Bel fell pitifully. I pointed at him with an empty bottle.
“Do you know how much I’m suffering? I don’t need a male lead who can’t whip me thoroughly!”
“You become like this with alcohol!”
Bel calmly grabbed my wrist. I didn’t like that. A cruel and evil male lead should either maliciously smile at the sight of a helpless, drunken beauty, or at least be slightly flustered by my undressing, revealing an unexpectedly cute side.
But Bel’s gaze now… What was it? The frightened look one gives when facing an abusive father? Eh?
Bel said firmly.
“After what happened in the latest chapter, having a whipping scene would be strange, right? We turned it into a scene of jealousy… So ultimately, isn’t it fine not to do it?”
