Chapter 41.1
“By the way, what’s his desire?”
Karin asked Leilia.
“As the head of the Hyllan Merchants Association, the reason that brought him here was because he was deemed safe enough. As you know, those who become Sword Masters are born with strong desires and significant deficiencies. They possess the power to seize what they want and never stop until they obtain it.”
Sword Master.
The reason they reached such heights was due to inherent deficiencies. There was something about being obsessed with one thing to the point of blindness. Therefore, when the Sword Master appeared, his purpose was important. If he had a purpose that threatened the world, all races would have to step forward and stop him.
“He hasn’t wanted anything in particular until now. Even knowing I’m a leader of the Hyllan Association, he didn’t desire wealth or seek power.”
“It’s quite different from normal humans.”
Karin nodded.
“Is there something he doesn’t have?”
Leilia remembered one thing in response to Karin’s question.
“There is.”
“What is it?”
That might be what he wanted.
Leilia let out a small sigh at Karin’s sharp words before she parted her lips.
“He had a woman he loved before he got married.”
Her heart ached as she uttered.
“Huh? Didn’t he love you?”
Karin asked as if she didn’t understand.
“We had an arranged marriage.”
“I know that, too.”
She turned to Leilia and questioned.
“I thought he was in love with you?”
Leilia was taken aback by those words.
“Really?”
“Leilia, do you really not know?”
Joel also interjected from the side.
“While you two were talking on the way here, His Highness Cassel has been watching you so earnestly.”
She was taken aback by his words.
‘…He looked at me like that?’
“You’re the only one who doesn’t know.”
Karin clicked her tongue.
“Cassel has a woman he loves.”
“Right now, it’s you. So, his past love won’t be his deficiency.”
“Then, he didn’t want anything in particular.”
“Nothing at all?”
“If there’s one thing, it’s just to live peacefully with me.”
At those words, Karin, Joel, and Max stared at her.
“I see what his purpose is.”
Leilia awkwardly pointed to herself at Joel’s words, upon which all three nodded simultaneously.

The wind seemed ready to cultivate this place.
With a grotesque screech, monsters rushed towards Cassel. As the creature, twice the size of a human screamed, Cassel imbued his sword with aura. The sword glowed with a blue light, and the monster was instantly cleaved in half.
The monster’s blood splattered and stained his body.
“…Leilia gave it to me as a gift.”
Just when he wore these clothes, something like this happened. If Leilia saw the state of his clothes, she would offer to buy him new ones.
“Are you still not satisfied?”
At his words, he could feel an aura from his sword. He was asking as if it still wanted to observe his skills a bit more.
“This…”
He clicked his tongue and charged towards the monsters again. When the monsters saw that he didn’t die even as they charged at him, they began to attack together. Cassel ran towards the monsters. He wanted to deal with them and return to Leilia as soon as possible.
In response to his actions, the sword glowed.
The aura surrounding the sword intensified even further. As the power of all his strength spread around, the monsters were slaughtered instantly.
The sword seemed a little satisfied then.
“How troublesome.”
He gazed at the sky.
When he had fallen here, it was daytime, but now it was already turning into night.

Leilia, watching the evening sunset, sat on a small chair in the square. She had enchanted the sword to move in this direction once it was satisfied.
“What are you thinking about?”
Karin asked.
“I was just sorting through some things in my head.”
“Is that so?”
“I’m not worried because I know our companions will wait for us.”
She was worried about Cassel.
“Cassel hasn’t even eaten.”
She didn’t even know if he might be hungry. He had to fight monsters without even having a meal.
Hearing her words, Karin smiled and opened her mouth.
“It might be dangerous.”
“Is that all?”
As Karin’s eyes narrowed, Leilia smiled bitterly at her sharp question.
“…Would it be okay if I just concluded that Cassel’s purpose is me?”
They sought to find the purpose of the Sword Master, and if that purpose weren’t morally right, they would help him. All the races would gather to ensure he achieved his goal so that he wouldn’t use his power elsewhere. The Sword Master was that powerful and could move the world. So, they did this to prevent him from wreaking havoc with such immense strength.
“We’ve come to that conclusion. If he’s obsessed with this marriage, then it must be right.”
Even though Karin spoke clearly, anxiety remained in Leilia’s heart.
