Chapter 36.1
Leilia recalled the moment when Cassel was in danger on the battlefield as she held his cheek. When she wordlessly wiped his cheek, he grinned.
“Were the kisses lacking?”
“That’s not what I meant.”
“If you act like this, I’ll take it that way.”
After saying that, he handed her the book. Leilia smiled and placed the book back where it belonged before she sat down beside Cassel.
“When I was feeling frustrated, I would come in here and be alone.”
Old objects and furniture, and things that no one else could see… It was as if they were telling her that her existence wasn’t insignificant.
“But now Cassel is here with me.”
“Has Lucis ever come in here as well?”
“No, he hasn’t. Only companions can come in here.”
Even though Leilia said casually, the implication seemed significant to Cassel as he put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer to him.
“We need to be together.”
At the sound of his low voice, she nestled closely to his side and rested her head on his shoulder. It was a peaceful day. Although her heart would ache again when she would have to go see her father soon, that was a matter for later.
Leilia thought contentedly.

A verdant light shone through the air, coalescing at one point before dispersing and forming words in the air.
“What’s this? A message from the Hyllan association’s leader?”
The one who saw the light was a woman with long blonde hair cascading down to her waist and golden eyes. With her striking beauty, she immediately read the message.
“What, a sword master?”
It wasn’t just any sword they were seeking, but a sword for a sword master.
“A sword master has appeared in the human world!”
This was significant.
The emergence of a being who could potentially disrupt dragon society meant they couldn’t afford to remain idle.
“Joel, it’s a sword master!”
The man dressed in butler attire standing beside her nodded in agreement with her words. Then, placing her favorite dessert beside her, he spoke softly.
“I also saw it.”
A handsome man with black hair and black eyes grinned.
“Lady Karin, please try this.”
“It’s delicious.”
Karin ate the food Joel had brought her and calmed her excitement.
In the heart of her domain, the Gold Dragon territory, stood a massive mansion where she lived with Joel, who managed the estate. After indulging in the dessert Joel had personally made, she composed herself and read the letter once again.
“No, she didn’t even mention who the sword master is. How rude of her.”
“Still, if it’s a request from the leader of the Hyllan association, he must be someone friendly to dragons.”
“I suppose so.”
Dragons rarely interfered in the affairs of other races. Consequently, there were hardly any matters that could turn them into enemies. That was unless a dragon’s ego was destroyed and a demonic dragon appeared, that would bring about the downfall of the world.
“I’ll have to make a sword and go meet with the leader of the Hyllan association myself.”
Karin, who was sitting on the sofa drinking tea to celebrate finishing her dessert, spoke with a determined smile. Her words prompted Joel to ask with concern.
“Shall I come with you?”
“Of course.”
She looked at Joel. Although he wasn’t a sword master, he had some skill with a sword. So, while he was weaker in his human form compared to his true form, he was still needed.
“It would be better if you learn swordsmanship soon, Karin.”
“Is it because you don’t want to go with me?”
“That can’t be.”
It was true that it was annoying for him.
Karin glanced at him before setting down her teacup.
“I’ll let it slide because you’re handsome.”
“Thank you.”
Her words made him smile broadly again.
“Without me, there wouldn’t be any delicious desserts.”
“I know.”
“It’s not just about my face, you know.”
He was emphasizing his presence and competence today as well.

It was the afternoon after reading the sword master book that Alesha, with her long blonde hair, came to visit her. Leilia greeted her sister in the drawing room.
Alesha, who was soon to be married, came with a stern expression on her face.
“I also want to meet His Highness Cassel. There are things we need to discuss together.”
In response to her words, Leilia nodded and called for her husband. Soon after, Cassel, who had been working on paperwork, entered.
“What’s going on?”
Alesha was Leilia’s only family member.
Leilia spoke with such reverence. Therefore, Cassel seemed cautious in his approach, likely because she was such an important presence to his wife.
