Chapter 51.2
“Your Majesty, would you please share a few words of praise?”
At Lucis’ invitation, Leshulean rose from his seat and began delivering his prepared congratulatory speech.
“On this remarkable day, an outstanding knightly order has been formed by exceptional knights, and the name is a perfect fit. Congratulations on the founding of the order, my son. I wish for the continued success and growth of the order.”
Not duke, but son.
Everyone understood what he was implying. Cassel was a duke, but he was even more special because he was the emperor’s son.
“Now, let the sword dance begin.”
At Lucis’s announcement, the knights moved together in perfect unison.
Leshulean watched their precise movements before his gaze unconsciously drifted toward Cassel and Leilia. They were holding hands tightly, their affection clear for all to see.
At that moment, Leilia’s gaze met his. She greeted him with a slight nod and a gentle smile.
‘If only she had a higher status.’
Leshulean clicked his tongue and turned his head away.
The sword dance was truly a sight to behold.

The inauguration ceremony concluded with a banquet. The grand hall was filled with laughter and conversation as vassals and retainers mingled. Zen and Calia, representing the new knightly order, followed closely behind Cassel, conversing with him.
Naturally, Leilia remained at his side. She had been speaking softly with Cassel, but after a moment, she smiled and approached Leshulean.
“What’s going on?”
Leshulean, who had been drinking with Chelias, turned to her.
“I have something to tell you.”
At her words, he regarded her in silence. Dressed in a long gown and a diamond necklace, she was undeniably beautiful. While she wasn’t the most conventionally beautiful woman, her radiant smile gave her an irresistible charm.
“What is it?”
Leilia’s gaze flickered between Chelias and Leshulean before she finally spoke.
“Magic stones have been discovered.”
“…What?!”
Leshulean’s expression twisted in shock.
“M-Magic stones?!”
His voice trembled as he repeated the words. Leilia simply nodded, her lips curling into a smile.
“Your Majesty can announce that you granted this land, knowing about their existence.”
Leshulean’s eyes darted around restlessly as she whispered.
If things played out this way, it would work in his favor, making it appear as though he had intentionally given Cassel a land of immense value. But at the same time, it meant acknowledging Cassel as a candidate for emperor—an action that would only fuel the hostility of the other princes vying for the throne.
“How did you find out about this?”
“That’s a secret.”
He let out a sigh at Leilia’s smile.
“Even if you had given us a barren piece of land, once the other princes realized he was chosen, they wouldn’t have left my husband alone. So, since this has already happened, why not use it to preserve the emperor’s dignity?”
“Is that your opinion?”
“That’s right.”
Leshulean gazed at her in silence before finally sighing again.
“I heard you were one of the most outstanding students at the academy.”
“Every student at the academy is intelligent, Your Majesty.”
“But you were exceptional, even among them.”
He shook his head.
“But that doesn’t mean I acknowledge you just yet.”
He spoke firmly.
Even so, he knew he couldn’t hand her the divorce papers again. He now owed Leilia a debt, and until he repaid it, he couldn’t take that step.

Leilia glanced at Leshulean and bowed her head.
‘Did I succeed?’
Knowing that he might hand her the divorce papers again, she had taken the opportunity to address one of his pressing concerns. Whether he realized it or not, the emperor spoke indirectly.
‘So, divorcing might not be so simple anymore.’
Unlike before, she couldn’t just sign the divorce papers easily. His feelings for her had become too deep.
“Could we talk for a moment?”
Chellias caught her attention.
Leilia met his gaze for a moment, then nodded and followed him into an empty room. Once inside, he asked the question that had been on his mind.
“Why are all the knights’ swords marked with Rocheval’s emblem? And it looks like the armor was crafted by a master artisan, too.”
Rocheval’s swords bore a winged emblem on the hilt, making it easy to recognize them from a distance.
“It could be a counterfeit.”
“Would Prince Cassel use a counterfeit?”
“It was a joke. The leader of the Hyllan Merchant Guild provided them.”
Leilia kept her explanation brief. Despite the fact that Leshulean hadn’t noticed, Chellias had been paying close attention to such details.
“I see.”
Chellias then asked something that had been on his mind for a while.
“Is Lord Natale the Guild’s leader?”
“And why do you want to know?”
At her words, he folded his arms.
“To be honest, I already knew your mother was the Guild’s leader.”
Leilia’s eyes widened at his words.
“That’s impressive.”
“It was purely by accident. She once invited me to a meeting where she revealed her identity, and we struck a political deal.”
“And yet, you’ve kept that a secret.”
“I value my life too much to make the leader of the Hyllan Merchant Guild an enemy.”
With that, he shrugged his shoulders.
