Chapter 51.1
Lately, because of her hectic schedule, Leilia had only been sharing a bed with Cassel. There hadn’t been time for anything more intimate.
“Has your busy schedule settled down a bit now?”
Cassel asked in a low voice.
There was a subtle hint of expectation in his voice, causing Leilia’s cheeks to flush even more.
“It has settled down.”
“I see.”
He took her hand, walking with purposeful strides. They entered the empty warehouse at the far end of the training grounds before he pressed her against the wall.
“I missed you, Leilia.”
The words had barely left his lips before he claimed hers in a rough kiss, his tongue pushing past her parted lips. A sweet scent lingered in the air. It was the familiar fragrance of his body, the same scent she always smelled when they were together, the one that made her feel safe and content.
As she pulled him closer, Cassel responded by deepening the kiss, devouring her lips. When they finally broke apart, he ran a hand through his tousled hair.
“A kiss isn’t enough.”
“Not here.”
“I know. You only allow it in bed.”
She understood what he meant. Leilia pressed her flushed cheeks with her hands.
“Shall we go to the bedroom?”
At his words, she nodded.
It was the middle of the day, but it had been far too long since she’d been with him. The desire she had been holding back during the kiss had finally erupted.
After leaving the warehouse, they made their way directly to the bedroom.

The new warp system was faster than the old one. They said it was built by the best technicians, and it seemed to outperform even the one in the imperial palace.
“This is…”
Leshulean was at a loss for words.
“Just how far does the Hyllan Guild’s leader intend to support him?”
Had the Hyllan Merchant Guild’s leader not supported Cassel, it would have been nearly impossible for him to make it this far. A powerful figure, like the leader of the Hyllan Merchant Guild, was firmly backing him.
“It’s almost as if they’re living entirely for Cassel. How amusing.”
Chelias’s remark made Leshulean glance at him sharply.
“You didn’t choose any of the other princes.”
Leshulean clicked his tongue as he watched Chelias, who clearly favored Cassel. He had no intention of letting Cassel, an illegitimate son, take the throne, so he couldn’t understand why Chelias had chosen him.
“This is frustrating.”
A fierce power struggle would inevitably arise after his death. He needed to settle things before he passed away.
It had become the final challenge of his life.
For now, Leshulean stepped out of the warp zone.
Cassel and Leilia were already waiting for him. Sunlight streamed down, casting a warm glow. Under the scorching sun, the two stood close, their affection palpable. Cassel’s eyes were filled with warmth as he gazed at her, and Leilia’s eyes reflected the same warmth.
‘Not that this is surprising.’
Leilia was a woman who truly cared for Cassel, and the feeling was mutual.
Had she come from a noble family that supported Lisseltz, he would have never suggested a divorce. It wasn’t as if he found everything about her objectionable.
“Welcome.”
Leilia behaved as though nothing from the past had ever happened between them. One might have expected her to at least frown at the sight of him, but she showed no such reaction. It was clear how well she could control her emotions.
“You’re here.”
In contrast, Cassel’s expression was rigid. He hadn’t been able to fully mask his emotions.
‘This is normal.’
Leilia stood out far too much.
“It’s been a while.”
Leshulean greeted them with a smile, stepping closer.
Since there were so many eyes on them, he decided to keep things amicable. Besides, Cassel’s decision to arrange for the newspaper’s publication had been a great help to him.

The knights were on edge. It was the knightly induction ceremony, and the emperor himself was in attendance. They couldn’t risk making a mistake in their sword dance with him watching.
The training grounds stretched wide, with a newly built structure standing in the middle. From the elevated seating, you could look down and see the entire field. Without a separate domed building, they had planned to hold the inauguration ceremony here, keeping it simple.
But when the emperor showed up, hushed whispers spread among the gathered vassals and retainers.
It was well known that he favored Cassel, who had recently been granted the title of duke, but no one expected him to attend in person.
Leshulean took his seat. Leilia and Cassel sat down as well, waiting for the start of the knightly order’s inauguration ceremony.
“You’ve waited a long time.”
Lucis, the host of the ceremony, stepped forward and spoke into the voice amplifier.
“Today is a truly special day. This was the day the Balkan territory finally established its own knightly order. The name of the order is Rahon. Rahon is a sky predator, an order formed by warriors who possess exceptional skill and unwavering freedom, much like the birds that soar through the sky.”
His eloquent speech continued.
