After I Died, He Died After Me Too - Chapter 1
Chapter 1.1
She never expected she would face him like this.
She didn’t even think he would recognize her. No, maybe he did, but she wanted to pretend he didn’t.
She thought he would have forgotten. She hoped so.
“I missed you. Edith, or should I call you Bianca now?”
Bianca clenched her fist without him noticing. Even though she tried to pull her hand away from his grasp, he didn’t flinch. Her pale hand trembled faintly.
“…Your Highness the Crown Prince, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
As she spoke with a carefully composed expression, trying to appear nonchalant, she glanced at the large hand holding her.
He asked with a disappointed look on his face.
“Do you really not know what I’m talking about?”
She could feel the waves fluctuating strongly.
Bianca chewed her lip at the blatant presence as if openly wanting her to recognize it. Her whole body tingled. Although she bit her lips tightly and held on, a faint moan eventually escaped her lips.
“Hht.”
Her whole body tingled, awakening her dormant senses. Amidst the gradually intensifying heat and fuzzy mind, Bianca chewed her lip and concentrated.
“Why aren’t you saying anything? You haven’t forgotten me, have you? After receiving such enchanting guidance.”
Despite the man’s words, she remained silent.
Even though her body had changed, the memories she had experienced weren’t easily forgotten. Although she already knew who he was, she desperately pretended not to know. She didn’t want him to know that she knew everything.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Please let me go.”
“If I let you go, you’ll run away again.”
Bianca’s eyes fluttered wildly at the mention of running away again.
As he said, she ran away. It was because it was clear that if she stayed by his side, it would undoubtedly bring harm to both of them. She wanted to give him the despair she felt.
“Bianca. Shall I tell you something surprising? I didn’t go on a rampage.”
The man’s red eyes curled beautifully towards her.
He was adamant as if he would never let her go. He even reached out with his other hand and wrapped it around her waist, pulling her towards him. As they drew closer, Bianca pushed against his chest with her hand, trying to create some distance. Fortunately, he didn’t stop her.
“Please don’t do this. I’m not someone you can do as you please with, Your Highness. If your body is fine, I’ll take my leave now.”
“No, Bianca. If I didn’t say I’m okay, then I’m not okay.”
“If you didn’t go on a rampage, then you’d be fine without me.”
“Bianca, I’ll be the judge of that.”
“Ah!”
As he took her hand and smiled, her body suddenly responded with the sensation of being drowned. Although they were so compatible that a little guidance was enough, he didn’t stop. Dexter’s emotions were shared with her. Even if she didn’t want to know, they were forcibly injected into her. Bianca hastily tried to pull her hand away, but his grip was strong, and she couldn’t escape.
“Your Highness!”
Her voice carried strength. She couldn’t understand why he was doing this to her.
“I can hear everything even if you don’t shout.”
“…What do you want from me?”
She spoke to him as if she had given up.
Just when she thought she had finally escaped, he appeared right before her. She thought he would stop if she disappeared, but that was a mistake.
“There was something I wanted to ask you when we met again. Why did you leave me ?”
She was suffocated by a strong force she had never felt before.
“I never left you behind. I just believed it was right.”
The words slipped between her lips as she broke the silence.
Did it make any sense to take someone with you when you die? She swallowed her words internally. Somehow, he had changed, not just in appearance but in personality as well. She should have recognized him immediately upon seeing him for the first time. If she had, perhaps things wouldn’t have spiraled out of control like this.
“It’s nice to see you again, too. Bianca Astri.”
He smiled, emitting strong waves of power she used to possess.
“If you leave, kill me and go. If you’re not by my side, I’m going to go on a rampage at any time.”
“If that happens, everyone here is going to get caught up in it.”
“Bianca. Do you think I can’t do it? There’s nothing else that matters to me but you.”
Dexter cupped her cheek desperately. His warning sounded like a menacing threat. That if she left him behind, he would surely go on a rampage.
“So don’t leave me this time. Otherwise, just like back then, I’ll follow you and throw myself away over and over again.”
Their breaths mingled intimately as the distance closed between them.
Bianca accepted the warm yet soft tongue that slipped between her lips with the acrimonious pain piercing her heart.
When permission was granted, he delved into her as if he had been waiting, drawing in a ragged breath as his fingers ran through her hair.
“Huup.”
It felt as if all the strength in her body, her entire being, was being sucked into him. It left her breathless, even though she was merely guiding him with a kiss. Her body trembled as the tingling sensation rose from below and traveled up her stomach. Since the sensation of guiding through physical contact instead of radially left a lingering feeling, she didn’t want it to last long.
The Guideverse/Esperverse is quite new to me, and I’m sure the concept would be explained more throughout the novel, but I thought I’d summarize what I’ve learned vaguely so far from asking and reading around, just in case anyone is confused as well! I hope this helps!
Espers possess heightened senses and supernatural powers, and overusing their powers could lead them to go berserk or rampage and become destructive to themselves and to everyone around them. Because of that, they need to be ‘guided’ by someone who can take in all that energy—and these special people are called Guides. They are usually managed by an institution or government and carry out their jobs to protect humankind. And it’s the institution that determines their ranks, like S-class, A-class, etc.
Guides and Espers should have good compatibility, determined by a matching rate. Usually, they would have similar ranks because the stronger an Esper, the stronger the guiding they would require and the better the Guide could soothe the Esper.
Different levels of intimacy are also more effective than others, so hugging usually works better than holding hands, etc. Similar to how it is in Omegaverses, Esper/Sentinels and Guides may mark or imprint one another, cementing and strengthening their bond together. Imprinting means the Esper and Guide can only trade energies with each other; because of that, the Esper can’t receive guiding from anyone else, and the Guide can’t guide another Esper.

Noted that the chapters for this novel are going to be split in half, which will also lessen the pressure on the translating staff involved. However, they’ll be numbered normally to make things simple. Since splitting into parts like this lessens the pressure on the translator, I’ll update more often to compensate for the length!
Thank you as always for your constant support and understanding! ♡
In addition, please be aware that the updates for this series will be quite periodical because my hands are very full at the moment! unless i’m caught up with other novels that are priority, the updates will be sparse until then!
Please consider sending some love either through the translator’s Ko-fi or by leaving a rating/review for this series on novel updates~!
