When the Villainess Died, the Male Lead Went Crazy - Chapter 155.1
The picnic in the garden had ended, and Kylian was carrying Anais in his arms.
Anais no longer cried, but her mood had become so gloomy that she didn’t want to speak a word.
“Wife.”
“…”
“I would appreciate it if you would hug me around the neck.”
“Why do you…”
“You’re right, Wife. But I still worry that you might fall.”
“I’m quick enough to catch myself.”
Anais was still in a bad mood. She had an almost sharp attitude toward Kylian, like how she was arguing with the attendants. Kylian accepted her coldness, knowing it was his responsibility, but his chest ached.
It was only natural for Anais to be angry, as he had done something wrong. Yet, every time he saw her, he felt like he was falling in love again. But then why did she seem so distant now? He felt that was somewhat unfair.
Still, he didn’t mind. He didn’t mind if she was angry, or if she cried. He just wished she would smile the most.
Every moment with her by his side was precious. So, he pushed aside the thought of unfairness and just wanted to be the perfect husband for Anais.
“If you get hurt, I would want to die.”
“…”
“I’m sorry for trying to make a deal with the god. It was wrong of me to go without consulting you first.”
Anais glared at him as if truly angry. When he saw the tears welling up in her eyes, he felt his heart ache with regret.
“I’m still afraid you’ll leave me.”
“…”
“You said you loved me, but the sins I’ve committed are not light. It’s shameless, but I still want to live by your side.”
Kylian’s voice flowed into Anais’s ears, soothing her troubled heart.
“That’s why I want to do anything for you, Wife. If you’re in pain, I want to take it for you. If you cry, I want to cry for you. If you’re struggling, I want to carry your burdens for you.”
“…”
“I hear the God of Deals is also known as the God of Punishment. Maybe I want to punish myself.”
“But… I already forgave you.”
“I know it’s not so easy to forgive, even if you want to.”
Kylian smiled bitterly as he looked at Anais. Anais, with tears in her eyes, looked directly at him.
“Still, I know you won’t give up on me. So, it’s alright.”
“Ugh…”
“It’s okay if you hate me more and resent me.”
“It’s fine if you’re still angry. I just want to stay by your side.”
“That’s cheating, using that tone to say things like that.”
Anais thought to herself that Kylian was melting her heart with such words. Just moments ago, she had been so angry with tears falling down.
But hearing him say that, she felt like she was starting to feel better.
“I love you, Anais. You can stay angry as long as you want.”
“Huh…”
Anais cried for a while longer, and Kylian had to walk around the garden several times, holding her in his arms.

“Wife?”
Anais was working in the office, holding a fountain pen. Kylian, sitting across from her, rushed over in surprise when she suddenly broke the pen. Her hand was covered in black ink.
“Kylian.”
“Wife, is your hand alright?”
“Yes. Kylian, I want to doodle.”
“Excuse me?”
“Doodle.”
Anais seemed to be holding back some emotion. Kylian noticed that her lips were tightly pressed together, then slowly parted, and he could tell she was still angry.
But, relieved that she wasn’t hurt, he sat down next to her.
“You’re on the floor.”
“It’ll be easier for the Wife to doodle on my face if I’m like this.”
Kylian leaned his head against Anais’s thigh and looked up at her. Anais spoke with a softened expression.
“Everyone, out.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.”
Once all the servants and attendants left, Anais stared directly at Kylian.
“Who said anything about doodling on your face?”
“I jumped to conclusions. Where would you like to doodle?”
“On your body. I want to doodle all over your body.”
“Understood.”
Kylian stood up and took off his cloak. As the cloak flew off and landed on the floor, Anais’s eyes stayed fixed on Kylian.
He felt a little nervous, noticing her attention on him. He untied the cravat around his neck and threw it over the cloak. Then, he removed his vest and moved his hands to the top button of his shirt.
Anais was watching him intently.
As Kylian unbuttoned his shirt, he felt relieved as he noticed her anger starting to fade.
When he had undone all the buttons, his chest was exposed. Anais got up from her seat and approached Kylian. She poured ink from a nearby bottle into her hand and then placed it on his chest.
“Uht…”
“Why? Do you not like it?”
“No. The problem is the opposite.”
Anais chuckled at his honest words. Meeting his eyes, which were filled with happiness, it seemed like her anger had completely melted away.
