When the Villainess Died, the Male Lead Went Crazy - Chapter 143.1
“I, I hate Kylian more than anything!”
“I feel the same way. I hate myself more than anyone in the world.”
Kylian said this and held Anais tightly as she struggled to pull away from him. He thought it would be best if she could hit him until her anger subsided, so he endured until she stopped.
“Huuh…!”
As Anais cried out loud, Kylian became afraid. What if she decided to never see him again? It wasn’t often that Anais showed such emotional vulnerability, which made him even more anxious.
“Wife, Wife… please look at me.”
“I don’t want to!”
Her shout as she cried made Kylian’s face twist with pain.
After a while, Anais stopped hitting him. She didn’t push him away, instead gripping his clothes as if allowing him to hold her.
“I will never let the Wife go.”
“Huuh…ugh…!”
“Wife, please don’t let me go either. Please.”
He said this, then pressed his lips to Anais’s, silencing her cries. Anais didn’t respond to the kiss, as if her heart hadn’t softened yet.
“Uht…”
However, due to their closeness over recent times, or perhaps because of Kylian’s relentless persistence, she couldn’t continue to ignore his lips for long.
“Stop it!”
“I won’t.”
Anais turned her head to pull away from him, but Kylian pushed her gently onto the bed.
Anais was also uneasy. She wasn’t sure if she could ever truly forgive Kylian once all her memories returned.
At first, she was confident that she could forgive him. But when she thought about her severed hair and how he made her fall from the tower, it hurt.
She understood it was because he did not recognize her, but the fact that he could do such things to someone else so easily shocked her.
Still, Kylian wasn’t someone she could give up on. That’s why she was afraid of her feelings changing.
“Please hold me.”
At her permission, Kylian kissed her again. The deep night continued until they both fell exhausted.

“What do you discuss in the gods’ meetings?”
Anais asked Lilith with her eyes swollen from crying. Lilith, who was excited to be having tea with Anais, couldn’t help but pause, seeing how both Kylian and Anais’s eyes had turned puffy and swollen.
The three of them were having tea in the garden behind the Empress’s palace, where wisteria blossoms were in full bloom.
The table and chairs made of ice didn’t melt because of the insulation properties, created by Kylian through relentless effort with the sages at the Magic Tower.
“You’re curious?”
“Yes. I’ve heard that all the gods have been reborn.”
“That’s right. So, apart from me, all the gods have no memories. They’re all about two years old now.”
Lilith said playfully, and Anais, with her swollen eyes, forced a smile. Seeing her like this, Lilith made a slight frown and snapped her fingers.
“What are you doing?”
“I’ll help you with the puffiness. How are you going to open your eyes with them like this?”
“Then Kylian…”
“He can suffer a little more.”
“Mm.”
Anais, who would have disagreed with that statement in the past, didn’t feel the same now as she was still in the process of regaining her memories.
Lilith noticed Anais’s mood had dulled, so she deliberately brought up a brighter topic.
“The fate that Goddess Julias created is all destroyed. That was one of the strongest wills Kylian had when he took all the powers of the gods.”
“I see.”
“There is no such thing as a ‘predetermined future’ now.”
Lilith gestured when she noticed that Anais’s tea had gone cold. Immediately, the tea in her cup returned to the proper temperature. Anais noticed this and smiled slightly.
“Before, it was the most powerful goddess, Julias, who led the gods, but now I’m the leader of the gods.”
“That makes sense.”
“Besides, their power is fragmented, while I am complete on my own.”
Anais laughed again at Lilith’s confident statement.
“So what’s next?”
“You’re asking about the future?”
“Yes.”
“I came to hear Lady Anais thoughts.”
Lilith asked casually while looking at Anais.
“Do you prefer a life with a predetermined fate, or do you hope that nothing is planned like now?”
Anais briefly thought about the pros and cons of both. Though she had been against going against fate, she could see clear points in both options.
“If there’s a fate designed by the gods, the world might be stable, but someone will eventually try to change it.”
“Right.”
“But if nothing is planned, it would fall into chaos.”
“Yes.”
Seeing Lilith smile as if she expected an answer, Anais spoke.
“Then we could make plans and change them flexibly. There’s no need to plan everything for the distant future, just change things according to the situation.”
“That’s a good answer.”
