We're in a Contract Marriage, But I've Imprinted - Chapter 185
“Then we need to expand the space of the Magic Tower.”
“Oh, wise Tower Master. So that’s why you mentioned it would take time to reactivate the Magic Tower’s movement device?”
“Finally, we can create a place where Omegas can feel secure.”
“I’ve been waiting for this.”
“Thank you for not forgetting our ultimate goal that gathered us together.”
As I listened, I could understand the thoughts of Lucia and other wizards. It was a stroke of luck to have met them, and I found myself respecting them even more.

After assigning tasks to everyone, Lucia led me to her workshop. Pedro was still with us, holding Adella, who had just fallen asleep after playing with him.
“I heard from Pedro first. He mentioned that, for some reason, Adella rejected her biological father’s pheromones.”
Lucia said as soon as we entered the room.
“Yes, that seems to be the case. I couldn’t pick up on the pheromones, so I couldn’t fully understand the situation, but when she suddenly cried out loudly, I thought it might be related to the pheromones. Is that going to be a problem?”
My worry was that, regardless of whose pheromones were involved, the intense pheromones of an extremely dominant Alpha might have startled her. I feared they could negatively affect the young Adella.
“Hm, Adella’s reaction is quite unusual. After all, Mel, what happened to you isn’t something that happens frequently.”
“It’s impressive that our princess rejected that guy’s pheromones.”
“Of course, I think so too, but that’s just our adult perspective. A child might still need the pheromones of their biological parents.”
“…”
Lucia pinpointed exactly what I had been worrying about. Now that I couldn’t provide pheromones, the only one left was Ian. But if Adella was rejecting him, it created confusion for me. I felt torn between not wanting to let Ian know about Adella and the necessity of letting her interact with his pheromones for the child’s sake.
Lucia seemed to understand my internal conflict, pausing for a moment before gently suggesting.
“How about meeting one Omega?”
“Who?”
“One who can examine Adella’s symptoms, and also one of the Omegas I mentioned wanting to bring here.”
“Oh, you mean the one from the city?”
Pedro nodded, as if he already knew.
“Right. She’s known as a healer, but in reality, she’s a potion-making wizard.”
“…Ah.”
Her explanation brought back memories I had almost forgotten. The potion that Nicola had given me to enhance pheromones.
“Do you know her?”
“Yes, Mother mentioned her once.”
“…You’re talking about Lady Nicola.”
“Yes.”
It was clear that Lucia also knew Nicola. She looked at me for a moment before asking.
“So, how about visiting that doctor?”
“Yes, I’m curious to see if Adella will be alright moving forward.”
“Great. Then let’s go.”
As soon as Lucia finished speaking, she drew a magic circle. With Adella included, the four of us instantly transported to a secluded alley.

“Wow, this place hasn’t changed at all.”
The neighborhood looked shabby, as if there were a slum nearby. I hadn’t expected to find such a place within the capital, and I looked around with wide eyes. Pedro smiled and explained.
“The brighter the light, the darker the shadows.”
“I guess this is your first time in a place like this.”
“Yes…”
“Look at this place, Melissa.”
Their comments made me feel a strange sense of embarrassment. I had often thought about why my life was so hard, yet I had never experienced material discomfort in my own life.
“Here we are, let’s go in.”
Without knocking, Lucia opened the door and stepped inside. The interior was completely different from what I had seen outside. The building appeared small and shabby, but inside, it was narrow yet long, filled with potions and herbs piled high.
“Hey, are you here?”
Lucia called as she confidently strode further in. I checked that Pedro was securely holding Adella before following her inside. It wasn’t until we went quite a bit deeper that we encountered anyone.
A woman wearing thick glasses and a shabby doctor’s coat emerged from a room, pushing her glasses up her nose.
“Olivia.”
“What? What’s going on?”
My heart raced at the thought that I was finally meeting the person Nicola had mentioned, even if it was late.
“I was curious if your mind had changed.”
Olivia shrugged lightly at Lucia’s words.
“I’ve told you multiple times that I’m satisfied with my current situation. You’re so persistent.”
“Isn’t it a waste to have such extraordinary abilities sitting idle in a place where hardly anyone comes?”
“My abilities aren’t that remarkable. I can barely make potions with magic. If you’re talking about someone with true talent, you should be referring to yourself.”
The two spoke comfortably, as if they were long-time acquaintances, despite Lucia’s playful grumble.
“Oh, but you’ve brought someone new with you! And a cute little girl too!”
As Olivia glanced over at Adella, she stepped closer.
“The reason for today’s visit. I want you to have Adella examined.”
“What’s wrong with this little lady?”
“She’s not sick. I just want to be sure. I’d like a thorough check-up, including her pheromones.”
“Looks like the mother is right here, but she’s held tight in Pedro’s arms. Is she your wife?”
Olivia innocently asked as she alternated her gaze between me and Pedro. He jumped in denial.
“No! What nonsense!”
“It’s not a big deal. So, shall we take a look?”
She approached Adella, who was staring up at her while nestled in Pedro’s arms. Olivia began her examination by touching Adella’s forehead.
When she placed her hand under Adella’s armpit, Adella burst into giggles.
After playfully checking various parts of the baby’s body, Olivia stepped back.
