Villainous Husband, the One You’re Obsessed With Is Over There - Chapter 230
Chapter 115.2

Thud!
Richard struck the wall with an axe.
Knowing the building was sturdy, they judged that breaking a bit of the wall wouldn’t cause the entire structure to collapse. The two women were mesmerized by the sight of the wall and elevator being demolished, and they quickly put the thought of Eden calling Angelica a strange name out of their heads.
Richard and Eden cleared away the debris from the broken wall and elevator before setting them aside. When a portion of the wall was destroyed, the size of the elevator shaft was clearly revealed.
Richard hunched his shoulders and stuck his head into the passage, but he quickly shook his head and stepped out.
“I can’t. It’s too narrow for me.”
The elevator shaft was equally cramped for Eden.
It was a difficult space for even a woman, Sylvia, to move around. However, she measured the dimensions of the passage with her body and then spoke in a somewhat hesitant voice.
“The Empress is petite. She should be able to pass through easily.”
“That’s if she can fit through the elevator door. We don’t know the size of the doors on the other side.”
At that moment, Cisen called out from above.
“Your Majesty! It’s Cisen! Your Majesty! Please respond!”

“Cisen…?”
I murmured.
Cisen? Was I hearing things?
How did she get here? Wasn’t she supposed to be trapped… in the underground prison? Didn’t he say she was in the dungeon? Did she escape? No, did Raniero release her? I couldn’t remember anything. I rose from the bed and opened the elevator door, sticking my head into the passage and shouting downwards.
“C-Cisen…!”
Instantly, there was commotion from below. It seemed Cisen wasn’t alone since I could also hear a man’s voice.
I felt confused.
Cisen’s excited voice echoed up again from below.
“Your Majesty, are you well? How are you feeling up there, yes? How about your health?”
“I…”
I tried to answer, but my mind went blank. How was I up here?
Needless to say, it was terrible.
Health…
I looked down at my wrist. My bones had become so thin that they protruded noticeably.
“Your Majesty, are you okay? Your Majesty!”
“I… I’m—”
Despite the fact that I shed a bitter torrent of tears because of Raniero, who didn’t come, my tear ducts showed no sign of fatigue. I whimpered and buried my face in both hands.
“I’m not okay…”
A pounding sound was heard from below again. Then, a deep and dignified male voice, which I had never heard in my life, uttered something.
“Judging from the location where the sound is coming from, the room where the Empress is located isn’t very high.”
Then, another male voice interjected.
“Can you hear my voice? Can you understand me?”
Ah…
My legs gave out, and I sank down.
“Eden…”
The sound that came out like a whimper wasn’t enough to reach the bottom.
I had no idea how he got in. How did he evade Raniero’s eyes? Of course, he couldn’t recognize anyone’s face except mine…
“This is an iron door, so it can’t be broken down. Even if we tried, the lock is on the inside…”
A deep male voice was heard again from a slightly further away location compared to earlier. Judging by the content of the conversation, it seemed they were trying to get me out of this room.
But how?
As the person said, the door was made of a material that couldn’t be broken, and the lock was placed inside to prevent it from being picked from the outside. When Raniero opened it from the outside, he reached in through a hole barely big enough for his hand and maneuvered it.
As if answering my question, Eden asked from below.
“Is there an elevator door there? How is it, is it big enough for your shoulders to fit through?”
I thought it would be possible if I hunched my shoulders. At the thought, I felt along the inner wall of the passage. Perhaps because of the humidity from the bathroom air, but it felt slippery. There didn’t seem to be anything else to hold onto.
A man with a deep voice spoke from below.
“What is the space above used for?”
“It’s… it’s the bedroom. It was originally the Emperor’s room.”
“Then, there must be good bedding.”
I turned my eyes to the bed and estimated the size of the blanket with my eyes.
“It would be impossible to use the blanket as a rope to go down. It seems too short. There are no curtains here either.”
“Well then, there’s no other choice.”
A man with a deep voice spoke firmly.
“Throw down all the bedding you can find and jump down on top of it.”
My head momentarily spun at those words. I was scared, too. Even though it wasn’t that high here, it was still somewhere between two and three floors high.
…To jump down from there.
But if I hesitated and couldn’t do it, I might never be able to get out of here.
My hands were shaking like crazy.
I tightly gripped the pillow with trembling hands.

I have no idea where this story will end up now. I’m so very glad Angie can think and feel enough to participate in her rescue. If she does go back to Korea … I hope Eden can make her life better there.
I can’t see any way for Raniero to be redeemed at this point. Even if Angie kills Actilius and Raniero’s personality is completely upended, there must be so much trauma associated with his face and touch at this point. I find it impossible to believe Angie could live with him again in a healthy way.
