She believed she was right to the end.

He should have brought her here from the beginning. He should have had thorough control over her from head to toe. No matter how terrible she felt about him. The price of ignoring the fact that the old normalcy had already ended was Angelica’s return to a long sleep, without knowing when she would wake up.

He called out to her even though he knew she couldn’t hear him.

Angelica, who was asleep, neither pushed Raniero away nor attacked him to kill him.

It was uncomfortable and awkward to constantly hear a voice in his head urging him to strangle Angelica. Despite a couple of ‘seizures’ during that time, Raniero persisted without giving in.
